I had an excellent experience at VIP Dental Care. I came in with severe pain for an emergency tooth extraction and the doctor took me in immediately. The procedure was smooth and completely painless. About two months later I developed a bone spike coming through my gum, which was very uncomfortable. I called and they saw me the same day. The doctor quickly fixed the problem and I felt instant relief right after the procedure. The staff is very kind, professional, and attentive. Everything was handled gently and I truly felt no pain. If this dentist tells you that you need work done, please, PLEASE, get a second opinion!!! This place was fine when all I needed were teeth cleanings. After my first few exams, I was told I have beautiful teeth, no cavities, no problems. Then, all of a sudden, I have two bad teeth that need work. I felt no pain or discomfort UNTIL AFTER he did the work. Over a year later, still pain and discomfort when something cool hits the area. Aside from that, when I have to pay an amount out of pocket, I like to ask and know in advance so there are no surprises. I was given one price, and then another higher price when it came time to pay. Later, in an email (I like paper trails), I asked why, and for an itemized breakdown. 'Blah blah blah...and the doctor did two fillings.' Here's the story with that... First, he said I needed two fillings. Then, when it came time to get the fillings, he only worked on ONE tooth and said he couldn't find the other tooth that he claimed was a problem. Again, There was no pain or discomfort in any of my teeth. All, ALL of my teeth were just fine. But I trusted him believing he was a professional. If I'm 100% honest, I think he just did it for the money. Over a year later, every day, I'm reminded by this pain that I should've gotten a second opinion. Needless to say, I have a new dentist who's offered me a couple of options as to what can be done with this botched and unnecessary filling. I can't stress enough, if you're told by this dentist that you need work done and you feel no pain or discomfort, please take the time to get a second opinion. You may not need any work done at all. PLEASE STEER CLEAR OF THIS OFFICE. Front desk staff is friendly but the doctor is quite deceiving. He will chat and butter you up during your initial consult and then once payment is received, he will be dismissive and abrupt. I went to a root canal and crown. Everything was fine until the final crown was cemented. He did not shape the tooth underneath and the crown itself leading to misalignment. It completely changing my bite, which was very uncomfortable. The crown itself was oddly shaped, having four ridges pointing upward as opposed to indented. I complained the same day, to which he gaslit me into believing it was a "beautiful crown", explaining that he's been a dentist for a long time therefore I should trust he knows what he is doing. However, in comparison to my other tooth it was clear the color was wrong and the crown was too large. In regards to the color - his excuse was "when you fix your teeth and get it whitened it will blend in. Right now your teeth are yellow it's nasty". I was in shock. Irrespective of whether my teeth are yellow or not (result of a phobia of dentist and not seeing one for one 10yrs and heavy coffee drinker) I don't believe it was professional to say such a thing. Having paid over $2500 I decided not to make fuss and wait a few weeks, thinking perhaps I just need to get accustomed. As time passed it became more and more uncomfortable. I returned, to which he said the crown is a bit high, and he proceeded to trim it down to the point it became flat. He also suggested trimming from the tooth above which I declined, and he went ahead and did it anyway. I was becoming incredibly annoyed with his dismissiveness. The following weeks were increasingly painful. After a few minutes of eating my jaw would get sore. The crown itself was not contoured to the shape of my natural teeth as well as being too wide. To compensate for the width I had to chew primarily on the opposite side as I'd often chew my cheek if attempting to use the crowned side. When I retuned discuss my complaints and request it be re-done he devalued my concerns, and brushed it often as me having unrealistic expectations. He argued that my complaints are because of "aesthetics" and that I have it in my head that it's a problem. When my husband intervened his condescending tone changed and so did his hypothesis for my pain. He had the audacity to then change the cause by stating it could be an issue with the root canal (WHICH HE PERFORMED). He then insisted I get a second opinion elsewhere.I was insulted by his lack of professionalism and willingness to take accountability. STEER CLEAR OF THIS OFFICE. He will smooth talk you prior to payment but once final payment is made he will misguide you into believing your issues aren't real without providing a solution - all while being disrespectful. Im happy to report I found a better dentist, who validated my concerns and I'm now working towards getting the crown issue addressed as well as all other dental concerns. Save your money and go to a doctor that values your feedback and works to address your concerns. Dr Daniel Ilyabayev is dishonest and deceitful. He is all about money. Although he is a Medicare provider, he demands that he be paid up-front (he wants to be paid upfront regardless). Then he doesn't file the claim with Medicare, invoking all kind of excuses, but the truth is that he doesn't care, since he already got his money. It's a real fight to get your money back. You have to sue him for that. As for the quality of his work, it declined significantly over time. I do not recommend using his services. The staff is polite and courteous, but they are not there for long. The turnover is tremendous. In any six-month period, you'll notice that more than half the staff is new. A++ I came here today for my time. I'm so happy I have found my new Dentist! Melissa was my dental hygienist and she was extremely thorough and gentle. The cordless tooth polisher was great since and the entire mouth floss as the end was amazing as well. My favorite part of this office has got to be the TV'S ON THE CEILING so you can kind of zone out while they're making your teeth sparkle again. I got to catch up on some Netflix at my dentist, welcome to 2019. The entire office was VERY clean and the front desk was very friendly and checked me in quickly so I didn't wait long at all. I will be doing x-rays in 6 months since I just had them done recently. My second favorite part was the hot towel at the end of the cleaning to mop off my face, I felt like I was flying first class! For four days straight I had sharp and unbearable pain in the right side of my mouth. I had no idea where the pain was coming from and thought I would cure it on my own. Most importantly I'd called on short notice and was able to schedule an appointment on a Sunday. Yes, they are located in beautiful Forest Hills and very close to all public transportation such as F/E/R/M trains and right off of queens boulevard. I was blown away by their office, very clean and maintained with a good amount of flavor tea and decent seating area. The staff is incredibly friendly, respectful, and make you feel welcome! Most importantly, Dr. Daniel is unbelievably amazing. He made me feel like a priority. I felt relaxed and forgot that I was actually at the dentist. After my X-rays, he was able to detect where the pain was coming from. It was my wisdom tooth and I began to panic, but he explained to me that this procedure would be completed in no time and he deliver. Honestly, I had no idea when my wisdom tooth was extracted. The procedure was smooth, painless, and my make-up was still perfect. He even went to the extent to request me to email him later that evening to let him know how I was feeling. Now that's white glove customer service treatment! He told me his father used to be a dentist in Russia for 23 years. He comes from a family with a good amount of dentists and they all graduated from NYU dental school. I'm now excited to visit him and his staff next week Sunday to take care of a chipped tooth. I had a great experience at VIP Dental care. I'm honestly not a fan of going to the dentist but Dr. Daniel Ilybayev was efficient and relaxed. After my first visit it was determined I needed a new crown for a tooth. I scheduled an appointment later in the week. Well first off they have Netflix and a personal screen which makes it easier. There was really no pain getting numbed up and getting the old crown removed. The coolest part was how the office was pretty high tech. For my new crown they 3D scanned My left incisor and flipped the scan to make the crown for my right incisor so it was identical but reversed. They also scanned my stub of a tooth the crown was going on. The old crown was a odd size. Then they kinda 3D printed it, carved out of porcelain. The fit was perfect, the look was even and proportional and the bite was great. It was surprising that the whole thing took under two hours. The doctor show me all of the device he used afterwards. He works very smart and very efficiently. I had a really great experience and would highly recommend Dr. Daniel Ilybayev. read more

I had my first appointment, on 11/30, for a deep cleaning with an awesome hygienist. The staff was equally awesome!! Everyone was extremely professional. I met with Dr Ilyabayev, afterwards, and he was the absolute greatest! I had my second appointment, today, for multiple extractions. I was extremely nervous and had such anxiety, all day. When I arrived at the appointment, I had a slight headache and shared this with the receptionist. Shortly after, Dr Ilyabayev came out and asked if I wanted to reschedule since I had headache. I decided to try to totally relax so he could proceed. I am so happy that I did! I was nervous, for no reason. It took less than 15 minutes to do the multiple extractions and it was extremely painless!! I am very fearful of the dentist but he has changed my thinking. Pros: friendly staff, comfortable waiting room, lots of tv's Cons: inadequate x-rays, liberal in recommending fillings, sexually inappropriate I appreciated that the routine cleaning was very thorough, including the removal of a stain that a prior dentist visit had not removed. The hygienist was not proficient with x-ray equipment and re-took several x-rays before giving up and moving on to panoramic x-ray. His highly friendly conversationalist approach included a "cancer examination," which was more like a massage from under chin, throat, and down to clavicle. Later, he handed me the apple tv remote and wrapped his hand around mine to show me how to press the buttons. As the doctor walked in he said, "You look young. How old are you?" The hygienist's conduct and Dr. Ilyabeyev's comments were highly inappropriate. Without looking into my mouth, Dr. Ilyabeyev's counted 9 cavities from the x-rays. As I was requested clarification, he kept asking when we should start drilling. The following day, I met with a DIFFERENT dentist to get a second opinion on cavities. I had learned of her through a personal recommendation. The x-rays sent from Dr. Ilyabeyev's office were too blurry for her to confirm cavities, so she to take 2 new x-rays for free to provide thorough second opinion. That same day she confirmed and filled one cavity, and three small cavities were put on watch. This seemed consistent with my dental history. * As I left Dr. Ilyabayev's office the previous day, the hands-y, smiling hygienist said, "review us on yelp!" I have since looked at VIP's reviews more carefully and seen that a lot (though not all) positive reviews focus on the friendly-ness of staff, while the negative reviews comments on medical and administrative practice. What I have learned from this experience is that yelp is not the right place to find a dentist. read more

I found this dentist online because of the good reviews, and at first they told me over the phone I don't have insurance coverage, which I did. But I went anyway and paid out of pocket. The hygienist is nice but the dentist is a liar and said I have 11 cavities which was untrue. I went back to my original dentist and was told I had 3. This dentist then told me I needed to get Invisalign and it would cost me five thousand dollars to do it. They also brag about having the latest technology when in fact they have a very out dated X-ray system and spend all their money on TVs for Netflix instead of up to date dental equipment. Do not recommend this place at all. And I can't believe a dentist who lies about work needed to get done can remain in business. read more

The office staff was amazing and after I explained my problem she immediately called the dentist and was able to get me an appointment for that afternoon. Dr Sutter was one of the kindest dentists that I have ever met. His friendliness and attentiveness put me at ease, which for me is almost impossible at the dentist. I had explained my problem about my tooth falling out as an implant when it turned out to be a post in which case I should have seen my regular dentist. Dr Sutter took X-rays and cemented the tooth back in to hold temporarily. He only charged me for the consult and gave me a copy of the X-ray to take with me. I was impressed by the service. The hygienist Tareq is amazing, very polite, and knowledgeable. He explains before doing any thing. He took xrays and then did oral screening and then he showed me the area where I am not brushing good. He demonstrated the correct way of brushing and flossing and gave me some recommendations to improve my oral health. The best cleaning I ever had. Very very thorough. Then dr Daniel came and introduced him self and looked at x-ray, then checked my teeth and told me every thing is good and see you in 6 month for another cleaning. The hygienist did an awesome job by providing an oral cancer screening and a very thorough cleaning. Dr. Daniel Ilyabayev examined the X-rays and my teeth. They use the latest German dental x ray system by Sirona and Shick 33 digital x ray sensors. He used an intra oral camera to show me my cavity on the tv screen in front of me. I had my first appointment today, it was a great experience at VIP Dental Care! The hygienist Tareq was amazing, he made me feel very relaxed and was very very thorough with the cleaning! I have never experienced such a thorough cleaning as the one Tareq provided, he even demonstrated techniques on how to properly brush and floss! I met with Dr. Daniel Ilyabayev after the cleaning, he was very professional and explained everything that will occur during my next appointment. Now to talk about the office, it was very clean and organized. They offered coffee or tea upon entering, which is great. I had to fill out some paperwork on a Microsoft Surface laptop which took a quick 2 minutes and there was barely any wait time to see the hygienist! I love an office that has good time management and VIP Dental Care seems great at it so far! There's even TVs in front of you and in the ceiling for you to watch something while your teeth get worked on! All of the equipment was clean and wrapped well, it was a really clean office. I been to more than a handful of Dentists in Queens and this is by far the best one. I started with my dental hygienist, Tareq, who carefully explains everything he is doing before and along the way so there are no surprises. I dont know how he does it, but whatever he was doing felt like a massage for my gums . Thats never happened considering i usually loathe dental cleanings. Definitely ask for him. He also shows you the proper way of brushing each area of your mouth and flossing, really cares that you do it right to maintain your dental health. Theres TVs in the room and on the ceiling!! Entertainment while getting dental work done was pretty cool Daniel is the main guy, completely professional with slight humor (much appreciated!) and never pressures you in doing procedures unless necessary. Most dentists dont provide options, but here they do and they make sure you feel absolutely comfortable first. My first with him, he took care of my sensitivity on my left side which has been an issue for awhile and the 3 dentists i had before couldnt fix it. He is a miracle. As I was leaving, Tareq gave me a hot towel to clean my face and a dental goodie bag with lip balm, colgate dental floss, tooth paste and a toothbrush. They treat you like a VIP client rather than a patient like most do. I cant say enough good things, but if you hate the dentist as much as i do, you need to try this place, they'll change your mind.
