My perfectly preserved '86 Porsche 944 Turbo suddenly stopped on busy VA Rt460 near Bonsack. (the original fuel pump relay failed.) A guard rail on the eastbound lane only allowed me to get about 4 feet off of the white traffic line - scary. Sports Car Clinic recommended Mitchell's Towing for my Porsche. The driver arrived in only 25 minutes during 4:30PM rush hour, pulled in and arranged to pull my car up onto his rollback flatbed. My Porsche ride height is only about 2.9" off the ground but the driver had long extended plastic ramps with a gradual grade so it was super easy to get my Porsche on and off his truck bed without a scratch! He then tied down all 4 wheels. The service was efficient, polite and professional and the price was very reasonable..5 Stars! read more

Outstanding towing service! I was stuck on the shoulder of I-81 at dark with a flat tire. He arrived quickly and immediately started changing the tire. He was friendly and fast. It didn't take long before I was back on the road. He followed me down the interstate until I got off at the next exit. I didn't ask him to, he just did. Total rip off Tried to Tow our car when we just ran into a store for 5 minutes.we didn't realize it was a no parking zone. We are from out of state. We were told he was there and we ran out. I was lied to by the delivery driver. he told me the tow would cost half as much as they ended up charging me $800 dollars to tow my car 1 mile and refused to drop it off at my house along the way. they have since refused that the original price was $350. they have since refused that I tried to pay the $350 out of pocket at that exact moment. they have refused to admit that I DID ask the driver to drop my car at my house. They lied to me and completely scammed me. I would rate 0 stars if I could. not to mention they gave me a number to call if I had any questions and they cussed me out profusely and hung up on me. not to mention I'm a paying customer and they are supposed to be helping me out. read more

I was referred to Mitchell's towing by USAA- my auto insurance carrier. They called very promptly. Mark in Dispatch let me know that my tow would be there in 20-30 minutes. He also referred me to a shop that would be able to make the repair quickly. I was very impressed with Mark's professionalism and helpfulness. This company towed my vehicle down Plantation Rd to Firestone at Tanglewood on the 17th. We picked it up late the next evening and my husband noticed the fog light lenses were missing on Tuesday morning. We called our insurance company as they dispatched this company to us. They started a claim but asked that I reach out to the towing company which I did via email. I didn't receive a response so I called on date of this review. The young man told me he didn't feel the need to respond because he felt like it was just a money grabbing opportunity and that perhaps someone stole them from Firestones lot, that they tow vehicles from the rear all of the time.The bumper was practically on the ground once he lifted it up and Plantation Rd. is a disaster. read more
