Once she entered my home, she and her sister cleaned my entire house from top to bottom (inside and outside cabinets, fridge, stove, oven, mopped floors, etc.). The entire cleaning process took about three hours. I'm so impressed with all they accomplished. I can't imagine having to clean my entire house by myself while unpacking, doing laundry, and so on. You lost my Keys?!…read more Strike 1: Day of initial cleaning I get a call at work from the crew--my appt was at 1pm when I could meet them to give them instructions. I was told that they finished another job early and if I couldn't meet them 3 hrs earlier, I'd have to reschedule--what?! Worked that out with the office, but shouldnt have bothered. Strike 2: Now, we find out that the reason they haven't called to confirm the service and schedule a new cleaning is that they LOST OUR KEYS including a security key FOB. Strike 3: Jodie claims she has been looking for our key for 2 weeks, but noone took notes on our visit so noone knows where the keys or FOB are. Perhaps this is an excuse for ignoring our email and telling us she will call us back then not doing so? Don't waste your time and money on this company, they are liars who have no accountability.

Not Worth The Headache…read more We hired UMA because we were looking for a licensed, bonded, and insured cleaning service that we could trust with our apartment while we are at work. At first things seemed good. Jodie responded to my first email right away and we chose UMA over some other cleaners in the area because of her availability. However, we soon found out that we must have caught Jodie on a good day, because every other time we tried to communicate with the home office it was like talking to a brick wall. My follow-up emails were never answered. My phone calls were not returned. And when you do get Jodie on the phone you can tell she is overwhelmed. She keeps no records of who was in your house and her scheduling is poor. The cleaners who came to our place showed up 2 hours BEFORE the 2 hour window Jodie instructed me to give them. When my girlfriend explained that we were not there to let them in, they were very rude to her. She could even hear one of them complaining about her in the background. I realize that it was 1pm on a Friday, but why should we feel bad that you want to skip out early and start your weekend? The cleaners who came did a great job on our apartment. That's why I gave UMA two stars. But everything else that comes with UMA is too much to make up for a good cleaning job.

Last month I texted them saying that I have 6 gifted sessions and that was the 5th one. They texted back saying " okay :) ". Now today the day after our cleaning, they sent a text to my fiancee saying they sent him an invoice for the cleaning. Management seems to be a mess. The client should not see the invoice needs to be paid, when it is a gift -even if the invoice was not sent to me, but the gifter. [END EDIT] I was gifted 6 sessions of cleaning and have utilized Martha's Cleaning for the last 6 months as I have them come monthly. The cleaners are very nice and always do a good job. They don't speak English well, but they use a translator app to speak with you. There's been a few times that the cleaning wasn't exactly perfect so I've asked them to go over a certain spot/area, and they're always friendly and happy to do so and will clean what ever you ask them to. I 100% agree with the previous review from Jonathan P - they are never on time. They are consistently 10-30 minutes late, usually more about 10-20 minutes late. However, for someone with a strict schedule - I take that very seriously and it inconveniences me. I plan my entire life and work schedule to the minute. I may leave a prior engagement at a certain time, in order to meet the cleaners. It's extremely disrespectful of my time to be late as that's a waste of me time and I could have stayed at my prior engagements longer. At least 50% of the time, meaning at least 3 of the 6 appointments I've had - they call or text me the day of, asking if we can reschedule for a different time. They are friendly when I say no, and tell me " no problem, we'll be there at your scheduled time" - but I find it extremely unprofessional to ask a client to change their schedule when I book my appointments weeks in advance. Today was my last cleaning of the gifted services. This morning they texted at 10am and asked if the cleaners could come at noon instead of 3. I said no one would be home until 3, they texted back " ok no problem :)". Then I received a call a few hours later asking if the cleaners could come at 5. I was pretty upset and asked him why do I have to change my schedule when I scheduled weeks ago. He then replied " oh it's okay if you can't we're just checking. We can still come at 3". All these encounters really rub me the wrong way and as a client I do not feel my time is respected. We make appointments for a reason, a company should adhere to them and respect their client's schedule and time. All these calls added stress to my life and work day in trying to consider rescheduling with them. Overall, I was happy with the individual cleaners that come through, solid 4/5 stars. Unfortunately my encounters of attempting to reschedule with management has been a 2/5 stars and still makes me extremely upset when I think about it.

I had another booking the following day so I contacted Martha's Cleaning. Within a few hours, my place was brand new again! Martha and her crew were respectful, courteous, and extremely thorough.
