    Italian Sub Heated

I had the heated Italian sub which was very good. Everything on it was fresh. Wife had a turkey sandwich which was also good. Stopped in from the bike trail. I would go back for sure. Place was clean and AC was working well.

The one good thing I can say about Mitch's is it's open. After arriving in Ohiopyle on a Tuesday I attempted to eat at 3 different places only to discover they are only open on the weekends. Thankfully, Mitch's came to the rescue. They were open and offering one of my favorite foods: pizza. We ordered a bacon pizza and a Stromboli. We waited maybe 20 or 30 minutes for the food which was reasonable. The place itself had several tables and 2 fairly large flatscreens. After receiving the food we took it back to our place to eat. The pizza was pretty bland (and I'm someone that loves bacon.) The Stromboli for me was equally bland although my roommate enjoyed it more than the pizza. The next 3 mornings we got breakfast sandwiches from Mitch's. While I am happy there was a place open to get any food I still found their breakfast just as bland. My suggestion would be to get the breakfast sandwich and then apply your own hot sauce. I imagine it would be pretty good then.

I really enjoyed homemade chicken salad and side of potato salad. My wife had a great panini and side salad. The place looks unimpressive from the outside but inside it's very homey and inviting. Mitch's is open all week unlike several other restaurants in town. We rode our bikes there from Ohiopyle. The staff and owner are all friendly and helpful and we had a nice chat learning the history of the place. There is also convenience store attached for your hiking, fishing, biking needs. Will definitely

The best restaurant in Confluence. We were in the area for the weekend and ate here three times. I don't think I ever at the same establishment so many times in that short of a period of time. My family ate there for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The food is really good and the price is very reasonable. The grown-up grilled cheese panini is a must try. Their pizza is also very good. Everything on the breakfast menu is tasty too. Everything is cooked to order so things take a little bit of time but it is worth the wait. Highly recommend!

My boyfriend and I took the bike trail from Ohiopyle to Confluence....about 11 miles. Upon arriving, we road around the town a bit until settling on this place for lunch...and we were both happy that we did! The restaurant is attached to a gas station with a small convenient store. They offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a great variety of options. You order at the counter...are given a number...and they deliver the food to your table (kind of like a Panera). We opted for two sandwiches. I got the Black Forest ham and my boyfriend got the turkey...our sandwiches were huge! We were also able to customize them with various toppings. Not only was the food great...but everyone was so nice and you could tell they really cared about the customers! This lunch really hit the spot and we will definitely be adding this to our go to spots on future bike trips from now on!!

Our family of five rode our bikes down the GAP from Ohiopyle to Confluence, and stopped at Mitch's to eat. The staff was extremely friendly and inviting, and the food was delicious! It was a comfy environment for my family to relax and fuel up for the ride back to Ohiopyle:).

Great little sandwich shop. Prices are a couple dollars higher than what the menu pics show, but with Bidenflation that's to be expected.

I asked a couple questions about the menu and was immediately directed to the BLT by a woman in the kitchen. Wow I wasn't disappointed. It was sooooo good. The bread was toasted perfectly (so it didn't kill the roof of my mouth), the tomato's and lettuce were fresh, the bacon crispy, and that basil mayo. A life changing BLT if there is such a thing. A couple side notes I appreciate. Bittersweet's marketing team deserves. Ton of credit - they have some awesome swag available for purchase. Also, this is a Christian oriented cafe with bible verses, messaging, and music. Love it! And finally, check out the story about Bittersweet's roots, its commitment to addiction recovery/support, and the owner's son's story/passing. The name "Bittersweet Cafe" will take on a deeper meaning (the news articles can be found in the walls before the counter by the bathrooms). Cheers Bittersweet, thanks for having me, and God bless!

I had the Bittersweet chicken salad sandwich and we shared a peanut butter mousse dessert, both were great!

We got the signature breakfast sandwich, a turkey sandwich, and a chili hot dog for our brunch. Also you get a 5% discount for paying in cash. In addition to the turkey sandwich ($8.5) we decided to add a drink and side to make it a combo ($13). However, I l was very disappointed at the apple slices which is why docked an extra star. The apple slices were tiny and super soggy. On top of that, I'm not even sure if the fruit was washed. I was hoping the darker color stuff on the surface was a scratch or something, but I was literally scratching dirt off. This felt pretty unsanitary and I kind of lost my appetite. The turkey sandwich was also very small, so probably plan to order more if you need to eat more to get full. It's probably best to skip the side and drink combo and rather order another item off the menu in lieu of the side/drink. To be honest, the sandwich isn't really worth the price for its small size. The signature breakfast sandwich was pretty interesting since instead of bread, they use a glazed donut around the eggs, sausage, and cheese. It's a mix of sweet and salty, so it may or may not suit your tastebuds. The food here was decent but nothing memorable so 3.5/5. I guess I'll round up my overall 2.5/5 rating (after taking into account the dirty apples) though.

Spicy, flavorful, hot, with a shot of flavor every time there's a banana pepper bite. The star of the meal tho was the potato salad. I think I tasted pickle juice and mustard in the wet part of the salad, and they also added bacon. I kept picking at the potato salad even though I was stuffed, it's so good! I'm glad this place opened close, I'll be back for sure, and will def try out different sandwiches next time too. Oh yeah, Mancini's buns! Yum! First, the beer. I have had much better, though the double bock and the Doc Brown Ale were the best with the double bock being a little too sweet. At 7 bucks a pint, it is the average price. This place won't attract me for beer alone. The menu is rather simple in terms of selections which should offer an opportunity to excel with food, thus keeping people returning. I found what I tried to be rather bland and typical of brewpubs. Smashburger. Bland, though I suspect the tomato jam and roasted garlic mayo were supposed to give the flavor depth. I wish I could have tasted these separately to fully analyze. At 16.26, I can find better. I tried the blue cheese salad dressing and was disappointed. It was like eating sour cream with a hint of blue cheese. This is so easy to make and taste good. The hand beer battered cod was also bland. Just not impressed. The fresh cut fries are typical of fresh fries. Not great. If you're willing to put time in it, you can make great fries. Overall, the menu selections could be better. I would think a nice steak salad or something like that may do well. The steak pinsa is the closest, I guess, but would be better with a salad. The service was mediocre even though our server was friendly. When you emphasize beer, tis best to visit often to see if the customer would like another. Don't wait until the meal is nearly finished. Will I be back? I want to try a few other dishes to get a more complete idea of this place, but I can see this place fading away like the others that come and go.
