Had Josh come over to give me an estimate for hardwiring 8 cameras(5 existing, 3 to install and hardwire), and he gave me a reasonable price for that labor. He was very professional, kind, communicative, hard working, knowledgeable, and did a great job on the hardwiring. He always kept me up to date with the progress and discussed any road blocks he came across, always gave me options for alternative solutions, gave me honest recommendations, and made sure I was 100% satisfied with his work. We had no idea how much they would make our new dream home even better. We were building our dream home, and our builder introduced us to Simplicity. I'm a pretty big techno geek and have worked in home automation in the past, so I thought that I had a pretty good idea on how we would automate our house. But Joe and his team brought more ideas that really made a difference. They walked the house with us when it was only a shell. We talked through how we use entertainment, what games the children like, how we would use each room and outdoor seating area. In the end, we got a lot more use for pretty small change in budget. We didn't realize that home automation needs such a strong wifi backbone. But we have outstanding coverage throughout our house. And also in our neighbors house. We can use our wifi in almost every room in my neighbor's house, except for the far corner of his sub-basement. My daughter uses our wifi at the neighborhood pool. The best part about working with Simplicity is that they took all of these technologies to run our house and put them into easy to use controls. We have two types of handheld remotes for everything, as well as touchpads mounted in common areas. Since I am the only old school techno geek in the family, the controls had to be very simple to use, and these are. If we had to do this over again, we would have involved Simplicity much earlier in the building process. We could have saved a lot on our electrical plan and had a lot more automation for relatively simple things. In particular, lighting and window shades. We probably would have had 30% less physical light switches and let the controller turn on and off lights based on our normal usage patterns. Same with window shades. We have a beautiful back yard and that wall is full windows. Awesome from noon on but hard on the eyes in the morning. Especially before coffee. We could have automated all of that and almost never had to touch a button. If you are looking to automate a new or existing home, talk to these guys. I'm very impressed with our results.

He and Henry installed a massive TV on a moving mount over a fire place which turned out to be very challenging because of the clearance. It was a very challenging task. He had a miniscule margin of error and hit the bullseye on the first shot. Our other systems were properly installed, questions answered, and friendly training. We also had purchased some equipment which turned out not to be in my best interest. They cancelled my business account correctly, but after I jumped thru the hoops to cancel my home account I find that they have been still billing me for the last year. They even auto renewed my contract for another year even when their system showed they were not connected to my security system any longer. In reviewing my bank account I finally noticed that I have been paying $30.45 for the last year. I contacted them to handle the matter and they stated they never received my e-mail and that I needed to send it again and they would not credit me back any of the paid amounts. I had exterior cables run to the exterior, but when I got around to installing cameras to them I couldn't find the drops for them, even where Greg said they should be. It turns out during the construction process, they were sealed behind the drywall and no longer accessible from the conduit where they were originally run.
