This restaurant is in a strip shopping center and in the area of local hotels. We were seated near the bar which was a nice booth with raised barriers between tables which made conversation easy. Our server Kaydi quickly came over to offer drinks, an energetic tone, a positive smile, and the refreshing Southern "yes ma'am/sir." I got the Blues Brothers Burger with sweet potato fries, a very tasty lunch, and filling. We were offered to-go drinks, a cordial touch. Pricing averaged about $25 per person, a very reasonable price for the value delivered. Overall, we will certainly be back the next time we're driving along the east coast. I hope we're lucky enough to meet Kaydi again, as she's an asset to this establishment.

I originally didn't think I'd finish this salad but it was really fresh and delicious. Very low carb meal. Next time I might try chicken instead of burgers. Husband had the Rocky Balboa burger and a side salad instead of fries. He was a little disappointed in the small size of the burger but it was otherwise good (cooked medium well but not dry) and the salad was fresh. Service was friendly but server had a little trouble remembering if they had Guinness. I would expect the servers to have this information ready as they serve primarily burgers and BEER, ya know. It was an early Fri nt dinner for us so not crowded or busy yet. Noise level was moderate and we could still talk without raising our voices.

Highly Recommend Sharks & Shooters! As new residents of…read moreRocky Mount, we were looking for a place where we could relax, meet people, and feel welcome. At first glance, you would never guess Sharks & Shooters is a bar--it looks more like a local legion or community gathering spot. But don't let appearances fool you! After trying a few other bars in the area, Sharks & Shooters quickly became our go-to spot. The biggest reason is the amazing atmosphere. From the moment you walk through the door, you're greeted with a warm welcome from Jess, Jen, Ang, and of course Quinn, depending on who's working. They are all fantastic, attentive, and genuinely make you feel like you're at home rather than just another customer. What really sets this place apart is not only the staff but also the people who come in. As newcomers to Rocky Mount, we weren't sure what to expect, but the regulars and locals have been incredibly friendly and welcoming. It's rare to find a place where both the staff and customers make you feel like part of the community from day one. One experience that truly shows how much they care was when we were having trouble getting an Uber home because the driver couldn't find where we lived (yes, lol!). Instead of just wishing us luck, the Sharks & Shooters team went above and beyond to make sure we got home safely. They helped us find a driver, Nick, who was absolutely fantastic. That level of kindness and customer care is hard to find these days and says a lot about the people who work there. If you're looking for a laid-back atmosphere, great service, friendly faces, and a place where everyone feels like family, Sharks & Shooters is the place to be. We're so glad we found it and look forward to many more visits. Thank you to Jess, Jen, Ang, Quinn, Nick, and everyone at Sharks & Shooters for making Rocky Mount feel a little more like home.

Inside was very clean and updated. Pool tables were very nice. We meet a lot of nice people here. Wish there was a place like this back home. Hopefully if we are in the area again, we can enjoy this establishment once again.

You can usually seat yourself, and the staff greets you promptly. They offer a full bar, house-brewed tea, rotating desserts, lunch and dinner options, and TVs with closed captioning so you can catch a game or trivia. Their seafood selection is excellent, with oysters and other items served fried, steamed, blackened, grilled, and more. They list the origin of their shrimp, clams, and oysters on the wall, and the chalkboard specials change depending on where the oysters were sourced that day. The "Greggah" lobster roll was perfection--a generous portion of chilled lobster in their signature sauce on a top-cut, buttery soft bun. The slaw served with it was creamy, cold, fresh, slightly sweet, and had the right tang. The sausage and potatoes side was one of the best staples from this restaurant group. A later snack of fried clam strips and fried oysters showed the same quality. Everything was freshly breaded, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. It came with hush puppies, coleslaw, and a house-made tartar sauce that was spot-on. Another visit included a house salad with homemade ranch and the double-decker crab cake sandwich--two fresh, in-house-made crab cakes stacked together with coleslaw on the side. It was outstanding. Consistently fresh seafood, friendly service, clean atmosphere, and reliable quality make this Shuckin' Shack location a solid choice whether you're in town briefly or a regular local.

That being said, my server was very friendly and attentive! I ordered the Cappy's Roast and it was a good portion of food. I agree with others that the shrimp is not very flavorful. I do think the just boil it up and then season it after the fact. I found myself de-shelling them all first and adding Old Bay to them before eating them. The oysters were pretty good. Not top of the line but definitely passing and delicious. The corn on was NOT dry but also was not seasoned at all, nothing a little salt and melted butter couldn't fix. The drinks, on the other hand, were strong and super tasty. Definitely "bar" is their strong suit. Overall I say this is definitely worth a visit and the prices are fair on par with what you get vs quality

I've attached a photo of the menu; the offerings are okay -- not bad. I got the build-your-omelet with bacon, spinach, mushrooms, and cheese. I asked for a side of sour cream, but got an excuse that they didn't have any because they apparently are "usually out of that by Sundays." To be fair, that isn't the server's fault but more of a reflection on the establishment overall. If you're gonna serve brunch, then you need to order your supplies and keep them stocked like you do that bar (which is extremely well stocked). The morning brunch service was a bit slow; and when my omelet came, it was ... what shall we say ... anemic? It was the smallest in size and flattest/skinniest omelet I think I've ever had anywhere. Let's put it this way: I was still hungry when we left. Orange juice was good; I wouldn't get the coffee again. When our server finally came to our table to check us out, she didn't know how to use the restaurant's own coupon to deduct it from our bill. My sister can save the coupon for later, but ... really? This joint is in a nice spot of downtown Wilson, within walking distance of the new baseball park and other restaurants and bars. It's one of several places that you could "bar hop" on a Friday or Saturday night with friends. That may be a different experience -- but R&R's brunch has some work to do.
