Our plan was to do that and then prepare ourselves for the event. I called Irving at 6:10 to tell him that the crew had not arrived to see if he had any information. He insisted that the captain had arrived, which was not the case, and appeared more interested in scolding me for not being calm than for solving the problem. He said he would find out more but never called back. 2 servers arrived 6:15 and the captain arrived 6:30. That appeared to be business as usual to them, so my guess is that they are used to that kind of informality. What started badly turned to disaster: the captain told us that the fourth crew member would not arrive because she had an emergency, but that I should not worry because they would manage somehow and that I would receive a refund. I told her that it was not a matter of refunding, that it was unacceptable not to comply with the service contracted when they show up to perform. She called Irving or someone but it was not successful, and we had to manage with 3 persons rather than 4, which did have an impact on the event. The excuse to justify the unexpected absence of the fourth crew member was a medical emergency. Nobody would believe that, especially given that nobody from the company appeared particularly surprised or apologetic. That Irving never called back is telling. Even in the unlikely event that it is true, you cannot run a professional business like this without someone standing by as a backup. They are not professional. Prestige Events does not get a rating of 1 only because the workers who showed up, even if late, performed to satisfaction.

The initial communication with Allied Party Rental was very positive. When communicating through email, the staff was friendly, and everything seemed to be on track. I was optimistic about the service and excited for the event. Delivery day is where everything began to go wrong. I admit that I overlooked the delivery date on the contract and was not expecting the equipment to be delivered almost five days prior to the event. When the delivery team arrived, I was not home and informed my husband that there was an error and he then informed them as such, so they left. I immediately contacted Allied Party Rental and was made aware of the original contract delivery date. Within minutes of the drivers leaving, someone at the company was able to speak with the drivers and the next step decided was that they would go to lunch and would return to drop-off the equipment right after. For anyone wondering why I had concerns with the initial delivery, it was because I was scheduled to host two events. The first event was on Saturday, and the tent was not needed because it would reduce the necessary space and interfere with the ability to use a grill. The second event, where the tent was required, was scheduled for Monday. After two hours of waiting, I made a call to check their status. I was informed they were on their way. After an additional 3 hours of waiting (total of 5+ hours later) I was now understandably frustrated that the delivery team had not returned. On my final call to check the delivery status, I expressed my frustration to Kristen and asked for a specific arrival time, as I had other plans. She responded rudely, saying, "Well, ma'am, you turned our drivers away, they were there, and your contract stated this was your delivery date." When I asked if they provided delivery reminder calls/emails/text messages, to check the time of availability, I was told they did not. When I mentioned that my review of the company would not be favorable, I was put on hold and then a manager got on the line. I explained the issue and asked why Kristen transferred me without first updating me of the transfer, his response was "because when someone is threatening a poor review, I need to be made aware." He then proceeded to not take accountability or to apologize for the extended delay. I will note that the delivery team arrived while I was on the phone with the manager. Post the delivery debacle, I found that the tent equipment had holes in two of the plastic "window/wall" sections as well as black smudge marks visible on the clear sections that could not be cleaned using a soft microfiber cloth. This looked unsightly and required me to be creative with decorating. Additionally, the tables and chairs were very dirty and needed significant cleaning before use, which was unacceptable even though we ordered linen. Overall, I just found that there was a lack of accountability and communication with the rental company not accepting responsibility for the additional five-hour wait after being told the team would return right after lunch and, that the company does not provide delivery confirmation calls/emails/text messages or reminders, which could have possibly prevented this issue. To add to this unfortunate experience, the equipment pickup, which I understood was supposed to be the next business day after the scheduled event, did not go as planned either. Given the stress and inconvenience caused by these problems, I cannot recommend Allied Party Rental and will not use them for any of my future events.

He has a very easy going yet professional attitude, and was going to come half an hour early to set up. He got a little lost so he showed up right when the party started, but good thing my guests are fashionable and late, lol. He immediately went into set up mode, and changed into costume that added to our themed party. He brought his own equipment and was very efficient in serving numerous guests concurrently. My guests loved interacting with him and it looked like he was having a good time as well. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better bartender, and I'm hoping that I can throw another event so I can hire him again!!

Her basic package goes for $275 for three hours, and that includes an hour-long consultation, a signature cocktail, juices and sodas, cordials and liqueurs, homemade infusions and purées, garnishes, napkins, bar supplies, ice, coolers, etc. etc. She saves you a lot of headache and a long, involved shopping, and then makes your party run. She's skilled and professional. She makes a ginger margarita that is truly delicious. I was staying with Ava the night of that second party, so I was around for the wrap-up, and we ended up talking with Changa and another guest for a while at the end of the night. I know I'm Yelping her business, but it's worth noting that Changa herself is a very warm, thoughtful, intelligent person, someone you'd totally want at your party.
