Strong service boosts this local gem.
We had the tasting menu and a nice bottle of sake on a quiet Tuesday night. My friend is gluten free so it was nice that there was an option for her. My other friend wanted omakase and that accommodated that as well. Food was solid, with a great version of miso cod, and interesting nigiri variations in the Miyama style.
Decor is average, but the best thing about the restaurant was the excellent service. Attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, bilingual (actually trilingual if you add Tagalog), but not over doing it...just the right balance.
