I initially hired MJ Drywall to repair a leaking window and damaged drywall. Mateo and his crew exceeded expectations by identifying and repairing other improperly sealed windows. During their work, MJ Drywall uncovered and addressed several additional issues in my home, including: - fixing roof leaks, - adding structural reinforcement to the foundation and attic, - repairing exterior stairs, - adding insulation to walls, - indoor and outdoor painting, trim, and stucco work, - installing new entryway tile. I can't speak highly enough of Mateo and crew at MJ Drywall. We had to have some work done after a kitchen pipe broken (replace drywall on the wall and ceiling, replace crown molding, wainscoting, a window sill, and then texture and paint) and we were having trouble finding a vendor who could do it all. I put out a request for a company to paint my kitchen cabinets and my bathroom, Mateo at MJ Drywall responded immediately, along with two others. I got quotes from all three and MJ Drywall was the best price for everything I asked him to do. They showed up on time and were very clean and polite and professional in my home. They respected that I work from home and rather then barge into my home office they texted when they had a question. My kitchen is dated and I do mean dated, it likely hasn't had a change since this house was built in the 1960s. Tile counters old warped cabinets , Rusty hinges. Well I couldn't afford a full remodel so I opted for the next best thing. They took the cabinets off and sanded hem and repainted them, replaced all the hardware, painted the walls and ceiling and added a new light fixture and tiles I bought for the bath solace behind the stove. The color is extra toy what I envisioned and even with the old tile counters and the old floor I'm loving my kitchen so much. They also repainted the hall bathroom where my kid accidentally pulled the towel wrack off the wall. I will call MJ Drywall again. And even though they are located in Oakland they came all the way to Santa Rosa and were on time every day. You have to call them for your next home project. read more

I highly recommend MJ Drywall. I had extensive water damage in my daylight basement with drywall, baseboards, and stair skirts all torn out. It was challenging to find a contractor to take on the project. Many would ghost me or be very vague about when they could take a look at the damage and provide an estimate. Mateo was great to work with from the very first interaction. He responded immediately and came within a day to take a look and give an estimate. The pricing was competitive, and when he promised to "make it look like nothing ever happened", I went forward with MJ Drywall for the project.
