His drywall, painting, and tilework were all amateurish, which isn't good for a bathroom. His customer service sucked. My daughter noticed the smell of marijuana when his helper was taking a break. My son and daughter noticed he was using us all against each other so he could charge more (They own the house, I paid for the service). I paid him what he wanted just to get him out of the house. His word is not a bond. If you use him always get a change order.

JD Pro seems to do quality work, once they do a job. However our experience with getting and…read moreupdating an estimate and their communication-or lack thereof- was a disappointment. We made ti clear up front that we were getting quotations from several companies then would make a vendor selection. The owner "Jarvin" took a while to even reply to my initial contact, then was poor in his timely communication. The estimate eventually provided had important parts left out, so we asked him to update it. He never did. Ultimately JD Pro was not the chosen service provider and we courteously informed the owner of that outcome and thanked them anyway. Jarvin replied: "we usually only deal with serious people, not charlatans". This was extremely rude and unprofessional. Needless to say we cannot in good faith consider JD Pro as an option for future work we need done.

My mother had him replace the old footboard of her bed and he did a great job matching everything and produced a seamless final product. I have had him assemble complex furniture, cut down the height of my sideboard, hang a ceiling lamp, etc. He is always precise- leveling the furniture after assembly for instance- and careful with dropcloths etc. Not to mention easy to work with and great at communicating technical issues and options (such as how to best hide wall lamp cords depending on my apartment's limitations on drilling too many holes in the walls). Rates are reasonable too! I have used his services for years now and would highly recommend him to a friend.
