Best lunch in Eastland! They make it just like you like it! Sandwiches, soups, salads and I love their cookies, too!

DELICIOUS! I actually heard about this place from a Reddit post about places to stop on a road trip…read moreacross Texas and I'm so glad I listened! It's home cooked food, calories-not-monitored, but worth every single bite. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but I knew it was going to be good when we saw the parking lot was overflowing into the grass. Luckily there was still an open table inside and we were welcomed by the sweetest staff and our waitress was just as wonderful. So many things looked good on the menu, but I couldn't resist ending this road trip with another taste of chicken fried steak to compare to Mary's (and they can definitely compete because it was AWESOME)! We also tried the chicken fried chicken (delicious), sweet potato casserole (amazing), Mae's potato casserole (tasty), cheese sticks (good), and the hamburger and fries which was obviously delicious enough that my picky daughter almost finished it - which says a LOT! We were very glad that we'd ordered the "smaller portions" for lunch because it meant we could grab a few of the desserts to go to snack on for our final leg of the road trip and keep enjoying at home. We tried the toffee cake (incredible), peanut butter cake (sinfully good), and the coconut pie (very light and creamy)! We also snagged some items to take home with us from their coolers and I can 100% recommend their pork tamales and summer sausage. If you get the chance to stop here, you won't regret it at all! Delicious, great service, and good portions!

My husband got the deluxe breakfast. The hashbrowns were greasy, obviously not reconstituted, and overcooked. He chose a pancake instead of the biscuit and gravy. His pancake took forever to receive. It was thin and tasteless. I've had better from a Bisquick box! My tortilla was greasy. Barely recognizable as a tortilla. Had I not been genuinely hungry, I would have sent it back. I managed to eat two triangles. I tried to cover up some of the greasiness with their salsa. I've had better salsa from Old El Paso. It was watery and flavorless. That seemed to be the overall theme for this meal. Flavorless and thin on cooking prowess. Had the waitress not been friendly, I would have given only one star. $25 for barely edible anything!?! Never never again.

Um--what??!! How did we end up having one of the best tasting breakfasts I've had in a LONG time,…read moreinside what is basically a church on Interstate 20? So be prepared to read Bible verses on the walls and sit in what feels like a mega church cafeteria. Your food will arrive in styrofoam and foil with plastic utensils (and these things cost it the final star). But the breakfast was under $4.00 and it was GOOD. In Texas speak, REAL good! I would stop there again.

I never finish a meal, they are so big! I also feel like their customer service always exceeds my expectations, especially considering that it's a deli and not a large restaurant. They go above and beyond every visit. It's always very clean and comfortable inside, they take pride in their environment. I wish it was open for dinner, but I do still enjoy ordering breakfast and lunch from them at least once a week. Whether you eat onsite or take it to go, they prep perfectly and make sure you have everything you need. It's consistent and reliable, and I appreciate that I can count on that as a customer. They truly care about making your entire experience pleasurable- the taste, presentation, and service. I have no suggestions for improvement. Well, except to say I wish we could experience it MORE! . Open for dinner! JC's Deli is the best!

I got my order to go, and they were pretty quick getting my New Yorker out to me. The bathroom was clean, and the restaurant was quite big. Everyone seemed nice inside as well. It's really just your typical McAlister's. This isn't the fault of this location, but holy smokes those prices are outrageous. RIYL: The chain of McAlister's. They make soups and stuff

The dill pickle lemonade was surprisingly good! But... The reason we stopped coming was the shockingly minimal amount of meat on the sandwiches, and the high prices for meat that can't even cover the bread. It hasn't changed, I can't believe they are still in business, this is the same reason we stopped going to (the now closed) Schlotsky's). The amount of ham on those sandwiches seem to be ok, but... I order a 1/2 and 1/2 with a garlic steak and a "bbq" honey pork. The tiny slivers of meat that were there were not appealing at all, they were both the same odd color of grey, and again, couldn't even cover the bread. The flavor (like the meat) was almost non existent. I couldn't even tell which was which... I literally used about six napkins throughout the course of 2 sandwich halves?? What was leaking out? It wasn't water? As I longingly gazed out the window at Chick Fil A I lamented the loss of $35 for sandwiches and drinks for 2 people. So long McAllisters, you blew it for good this time.
