They didn't communicate with me at the three week mark before the wedding to finalize the head count so I had the option to cut my head count to 75 from 90 and the difference would be gratuity. So each of the bartenders got around $105 each for around 4 hours... and the audacity to have a tip jar!!!! Unbelievable. Never got to have the margaritas, French 75, or any beer or wine that I paid for. Just had 3 glasses of champagne. You'd think they'd have already set up drinks for the bride and groom at their table but nope! Also was told we would be able to keep the margaritas once the bartenders left. NOPE! EVERYTHING WAS TOSSED! I am so unbelievably upset with this company. Beware of being completely stressed out and barely getting anything out of them. They just want your money. I paid over $3,500 to be completely disappointed. I've definitely been robbed by this company.

I hear they host a lot of other types of events there too, so clearly music isn't their only moneymaker (which is good, because the sound kinda leaves something to be desired. Although I can see how you could decorate and jazz it up a bit - could be a nice, urban-style backdrop if you were willing to bring stuff in. There's a parking lot about half a block away that fits a decent amount of cars. Sometimes there's a guy there making you pay $5, sometimes there's not. I have yet to figure out if he's just a really smart scam artist making people pay, or if he's hired by the venue. The Bad: Holy sweltering heat. For such a big space, they had ONE vent blowing cold air. I literally thought I was going to expire at one point. I didn't pay $10 to go into a sauna filled will un-showered teenage boys. *shiver* The sound...is not great. I heard quite a few of the bands complain about the PA, or lack thereof. Again, isn't not a "concert" venue, so maybe that just comes with the territory. They. Ran. Out. Of. Beer. I'm not sure I have to expand on that any further. The front door faces the Live Oak Lofts (or one of the buildings over there), so they don't let people stand and mingle outside. Generally I get that, but may I remind you it was about 125 degrees in that place. It's not the worst place that I've been to, but as I said before, just not one of my favorites.

When I announced the time for seconds, nobody came up and most people just threw away their food since it was inedible. I was patient and understanding, even though this was super avoidable if she had just taken a peek at the food. She knowingly knew her oven was not working and still served us the food. We didn't even ask for a refund for this, even though nobody could eat the food But when it came time to cancel a week in advance for an upcoming Since understandably, we did not want her to come back she is refusing to give us a refund. Apparently, she has a no refund policy that you conveniently have to actually go on her website and look for it is nowhere on the invoice. I have reached out to her multiple times and I've just gotten an automated response She is refusing to take responsibility for her actions and it's taking it out on senior seniors. Who now are going to miss out on next happy hour because she won't give us the refund.

I think my favorite were these little toast crackers with filet mignon on top. As for dinner there were many different stations. I got full pretty fast, but tried a little of everything. The sushi was my favorite and probably the most popular station. They also had a noodle stir fry (my kids loved the coconut shrimp), salad station, taco station (so good), caving station (skipped this) and gnocchi bar (really tasty). The kids had their own food (pizza, sandwiches), but kept coming over to the adult side since our food was so delicious. Dessert was an ice cream bar (always a hit) + some mini desserts that were passed for the desserts (ex lemon cake). The staff were attentive and friendly, although may not be the typical staff for this caterer because when I asked who the caterer was they couldn't tell me. The Nuvo Room is a very cool space. I know raw spaces can be difficult sometimes because you have to bring everything in, but this caterer made it look easy.
