A day or two later I went in to have my trial class to see if I liked it. I loved it. And I mean LOVED IT! While I knew I couldn't do most of it, I was ok with it. Why??? Because of Lejla and John and how encouraging they are and how motivating they are. Lejla and John are amazing people to be around and their energy is contagious. The classes and people that attend are great. I'd consider them all closer then most family members. When you go, don't be intimidated because you can't do stuff. Try, try, try! You're there to learn real world self defense with the bonus of getting into shape. No one there cares what you look like, the shape you're in or if you have any previous experience. Every class you either learn something new or practice what you've learned. No one puts anyone else down or judges. Today was the first time with the equipment and to my surprise, no information on how to get the exercise equipment started. I had to ask another gentleman how to start to get the display to start up. I saw one person filling cleaner bottles and the other was behind the counter. Again I guess I figured someone would be available to answer questions. Years ago when my wife joined she had to be on site to join, was given a tour and brief explanation on equipment operation. At least today I was greeted with a smile and have a good day when I left. Right now I'll give it a 1 as far as my experience

No one gave us the date of when the new business would be opening. Several people asked at the front desk and were told Wednesday, 27 August. Today, friends and I were walking near the new business and were told by someone outside the building that it's going to be at the end of the week. We were never given a specific date or a specific time by this person. Why did we not receive an email with this specific information? Aren't we as patrons of planet fitness entitled to be told? I sincerely hope the new place works out. If not, I will not be surprised. They keep all the information to themselves and never let anyone else know.
