visited to purchase 20ga shotgun shells. the 1st guy honestly did not have a clue if they had any or not. i assisted him with looking at a table for some. the guy handed me a small box of shells that were super tiny (not sure i think they were 7's). then he asked another guy who was super slow and stood there talking to his brother. his brother is the one who told me i could approach the counter for assistance and introduced himself as the employees brother who was just visiting. the guy behind the counter was slow and really RUDE. i wound up leaving. wont be returning EVER. read more

I would not recommend doing any business with Fletcher Arms. They illegally scammed me and illegally misrepresented their monthly membership agreement and pricing at the counter. They also ignored and refused my cancellation notice, charging me hundreds of dollars for a single usage of their gun range lane. They disguise themselves as a 'Fitness Center' but have no fitness equipment nor meet the legal requirements of a fitness center. There are much better legal gun stores in the neighboring areas that are transparent and follow proper Wisconsin business laws. read more

came in waukesha location dec 12,brought my 1911 with a missing grip screw,they looked through a bag 1911 parts with no luck , sent gun in with owners manual and part # of screw. when leaving counterperson said maybe a 2 or 10 dollar screw. i finally call back jan 25 to see what's up.was told they texted me early jan.found out they texted my landline,emai address on workorder.ended up paying 36.75 for the screw!! i'm a 30 year mechanic, if they would have mentioned theirs a chance it could more than 10 i would have figured something out after all it's just a grip screw left felling cheated read more

At fletcher arms everyone is so helpfull even when you have no experience at all. You watch a safety video before entering and ear and eye protection is mandatory. You pay a lane fee and extra per gun you want to rent. Prices are fair and safety is important. They have a very large range of guns to choose from and they have a shop too. Went here for a bachelor party, or atleast the start of one. Staff were all pretty friendly and laid-back. A few of us were worried about having Illinois ID because of the note on their site, but as long as you have someone with a WI id rent the guns, or you bring your own, you should be OK. There wasn't much of a safety course. It was basically just showing the people who never shot before how to load the guns and where the safety was, but it didn't really sink in to too many of them. That's probably my friends' fault more than anything though. Prices were pretty good too. Definitely would go again. read more

Staff members were very useful and friendly. I didnt feel like i was debuted on America's Most Wanted as i have in the past at other establishments. I am no criminal by the way. The selection of Arms as well as the knowledge and helpfulness of the staff make it easy to make a selection or to feel comfortable for newbies. The range isnt the biggest but it does the job. The prices for the range are very reasonable. If you go on their website you will see that they have specials during the week for the range. The prices of the arms are a little stiff for me considering the internet has made it easy to obtain arms for next to nothing. This would be my only gripe about Fletcher Arms. My daughter and I have been to Fletchers several times this winter to shoot handguns and rifles. We keep going back because we are always treated well by the staff. We just finished an introductory handgun course and the lead instructor Mike who is clearly very knowledgeable did a great job weaving safety, skills and hands-on into the class. I took the Basic Handgun and Concealed Carry combo class this weekend. I'm definitely not someone who likes to sit in a classroom for hours on a Sunday but this class is 100% worth it whether you have firearm knowledge or if you know nothing about the subject. Mike (the instructor) in very engaging and you probably won't find an instructor better than him. Megan (the owner) was also very present throughout the day and made me feel very comfortable as this was my first time on the range. I will be back soon for more classes. Some places treat you differently when you have a groupon. Not these guys. They were the best and my sons and I had a great time shooting for our first. If you want service, do NOT shop here! If you are female, definitely do NOT shop here. I was looking for a scope for a .22 long gun and the sales person was somewhat helpful (after taking care of men who came into the store after me.) He stated he had to order "special" mounts for the scope I purchased. these would take 5 days to arrive and they would "call". 14 days later, after no word, I called them. The store clerk stated according to their notes, they called and left a message. (I have a cellphone and there is NO record of a incoming nor a message.) They never made any other attempts to follow up on the supposed non-response.... why should they were already paid in full for both the scope and the mounts. I was also told they would site the scope for free as part of the purchase. I asked for the scope to be bore sited. The clerk stated I would need to leave the rifle to have it done. Given my previous experience, I explained my concern over this and declined to leave the rifle and offered to wait. After a few minutes the clerk returned the rifle and stated the directions for siting the scope were "in the box". Thank goodness I had the foresight to look for them before leaving the store.... they were not anywhere in the box! Oh, says the clerk "They fell on the floor of the workroom." It quickly became very apparent the scope was NOT bore sited to the gun. and if it were.... the person needs relearn the process. (It took 3 shots just to get on the board! and yes I was using a "lead sled") I strongly encourage you to shop elsewhere especially if you need any assistance/guidance with your purchase. read more

I did a lot of research before deciding where to begin my search for personal protection. After looking through their website and speaking to others, I decided to drive the 20 minutes out of town to check out Fletcher Arms. At first, I wasn't sure I was in the right place, as there is no big sign, and no direction to an entrance - it sort of looks just like a warehouse. I walked in and immediately saw the range full of shooters in front; right place! I walked up and down the display case of handguns and was eventually approached. The older gentleman spoke to me about what his wife carries, the positives and negatives of a semi-automatic versus a revolver, and let me try out holding several of the models. I reiterated my complete lack of knowledge and he directed me to Jordan. Jordan was extremely accommodating and helpful, and never once condescending. I paid the $15 to shoot for an hour, and $8 to rent a gun. I paid for ammo, a target and ear/eye protection as well, though you can bring your own. You view a video outlining rules and safety in the range, and I was impressed that the staff were very responsible and proactive with safety. Jordan went into the range with me and explained in detail how to position my hands on the grip, proper safety precautions in the range, correct posture and had me do several dry runs to be sure that my stance stayed consistent through kickback. When I loaded it up and started shooting, he was very helpful and friendly with constructive comments. I swapped to a semi-automatic and tried that out too. Back out in the store he spoke with me about cleaning kits, cases, conceal and carry classes and laws and personal experience. When I said I wanted to do a little more research, he was not turned off at all and professionally wrote down the two guns I had narrowed it down to. No pressure to buy when I wasn't ready at all. A couple weeks later (yesterday), I returned to make the purchase. I didn't see Jordan, and a different rougher guy 'helped'. He pulled the gun out for me and just stood there. When I said I was ready to purchase he informed me of all the paperwork you need to bring (I was completely unaware, and subsequently didn't have all of it). I also didn't know it could take several hours to get the Wisconsin paperwork approved and take your firearm with you. I paid and will have to return for the weapon after getting my license updated with my current address - just a pain to have to go back out again. Despite the miscommunication with the purchase, I felt that Jordan was extremely helpful, and the store had most accessories necessary. PLUS they price match! They have great ventilation and just recently upgraded their lighting an range markings. he staff are helpful and friendly boarding on the quirky. i have to been a number of other ranges in the area and Fletcher's by far is the most accommodating. Friendly staff that are willing to suggest guns to rent. Prices seemed reasonable. I took my little sister here over Christmas. It was a bit crowded but I think that was due to the holidays. The staff was pleasant. They gave me a bit if attitude when I asked if there was a safety on the handgun I was renting. They said "the safety was my finger, don't use it.". Perhaps they get that question a lot. It seems like a reasonable question to me... They had us watch a safety video which was very helpful. Be sure to sign in when you arrive. Every business should be about quality customer service. Fletcher's is not even close. I have been in there a few times looking to purchase firearms and accessories. I can't even tell you how disappointing it was to be in there. Walking in not one staff member ever acknowledged me, even to the point of having in hand what I wanted to buy and still nothing. They were not busy either so you can't blame it on that. The last and final time I actually put back the item I was going to buy and walked out, Ridiculous. The few times I was helped it took forever because staff are just talking to each other. When I finally do get help the staff, (in general) are pretty rude. Ive noticed this with other customers while I wait as well. I have never used the range so I can't comment on that but I will never be back there again for anything. read more

I had recently re-discovered my interest in range shooting and decided it was time to re-acquire a handgun. Like many folks, I decided to rent a gun and try it out before making a commitment. My first encounter with the folks at Fletcher Arms was indeed an enjoyable one. Their knowledge, friendliness and patience was appreciated - especially by someone who's limited understanding of firearms could have been a point of frustration by a gun store owner but this was not the case. Within a week, I had purchased my first handgun from Fletcher and within 2 weeks, I had purchased a second. I'm now looking at acquiring a third and will definitely be buying it from them. Dan has been extremely helpful in answering my questions, as have other staff members, some of whom routinely ask me how I am enjoying my new gun each time I visit the range. My wife and I had been coming here weekly (sometimes twice per week) since we moved to the Milwaukee area. At first we were really impressed with the staff. MOST of them are awesome people. Friendly, helpful and willing to go the extra mile for customer service. Last week after shooting, one of the employees (younger, bigger guy) started railing me about "looking at the muzzle end of my weapon" (which I don't recall doing, and am not stupid enough to do anyway. THEN he started going on and on about how I was "showing off" and "goofing around." I'm not sure what he saw, or what he THINKS he saw, but being a jerk to me ONCE is all takes for me to take my business elsewhere. We were fine with paying the higher range costs because we liked the people there, but once you treat me with SUCH disrespect, you lose my business. I take firearms safety seriously, and I (as well as my wife) are still scratching our heads trying to figure out what this butt-chewing was all about. Either way, we won't be back.
