I said I would come back and bump this up if they deserved it and by golly, they deserve it. It's been years now that I've been coming to this place and overall I am a very satisfied customer. The low end selection issue has resolved. They have options across all price points again. They lowered the free delivery threshold to $40 minimum from $100. I tend to order delivery now so I can't really comment on wait times as I don't really go in anymore. I will say every blue moon there's an issue with deliveries. For example, things like the delivery drivers being out on lunch and having to wait 2 to 3 hours for a delivery. These are rare incidents though, most of the times delivery is smooth. Cross-Reference this with the review I left for the North Hollywood store, for a more complete story... The short version is: I ordered through weedmaps, and MMD shorted me 3.5 grams. I ordered two jars of Cereal A La Mode flower, and they brought me one. They REFUSED to make it right. So, with the tip to the driver, and a gross little cookie I bought just to meet the deliver minimum, I spent $75 and received one 3.5g jar of what I actually wanted, which was on sale for $28. $47 down the toilet. I will type the long version at some point, but it's going to be a novel, and I left the MMD North Hollywood shop CRYING. That horrible experience took me so many days to process...I just don't even want to go over it again, and have the manager be dismissive AGAIN...so...I'll save the novel for now. Do not shop here. DEFINITELY do not order delivery. For Clarity: Weedmaps says my order came from the Hollywood location, but the receipt itself says North Hollywood. DON'T GO IF SEEKING KNOWLEDGABLE/ATTENTATIVE TENDERS. Went in looking for CBD and was told CBD doesn't work without a little bit of THC. The two sales people talking with me were very convincing. My therapist recommended CBD to help with sleep and I have been struggling a lot so I was desperate. But that struggle with sleep is not nearly as bad as my struggle with THC. It messes me up at even low dosages and I'm stuck in a panic/paranoid state until at minimum the next day. I explained this to the sales person who I was talking with and he brought me over to the "CBD" section. The sales person sold me on tablets that he said would be perfect. He said he gave his mom these tablets as she also couldn't handle THC. He said the 10 tablets have 26mg of THC between them which would be only 1.3 mg per half. That I could do and probably get away with without being affected negatively. The other sales person was helping him close the sale by saying that the tablets were exactly what I should use if I'm sensitive to THC. So in my desperation and unfamiliarity with the dispensary process and the lack of knowledge their employees have (another cannabis store employee didn't even know what CBD was) I was pushed into getting the tablets. But I felt good about the interaction and left a fat tip as a thank you for them spending so much time with me. I got home and opened them before realizing I should have looked a little harder. After opening them I saw on the box there was 263mg of THC shared between all 10 tablets. Which means each half has 13mg of THC. WAY beyond the limit I told the sales people I could handle. And way beyond the limit the sales person said his mom could handle. So he lied to me. The store was closed by the time I realized this so I waited for the morning to try and get a refund for a product I was pushed into buying by people just out to make a sale for the dispensary. They tried to get me to exchange for a different product but I was done at this point. I know what THC does to me and I made sure they knew they knew and they still tried to push more on me. The manager gave me a refund but not a full one for the tip and whatever other fee was present. I appreciate getting some of my money back but having to pay them $12 in a tip for a mistake they made really pisses me off. Money is already tight and this experience has cost me a meal. The two sales people could have pointed me in a different direction, but their lack of knowledge ended up costing me. Bottom line - don't go here if you're not already familiar with dispensaries and their products. read more

THIS IS THE PLACE!! Looks a little sus from the outside, but the door is locked and they buzz people in which is nice. We were served by both Brent and Donald, who were PHENOMENAL!! Donald gave us a full tour of the place, which was amazing because it was my friend's first time at a dispensary. I've never felt so dissatisfied with a cannabis service. mmdshops.com advertised a free goodie bag with delivery orders placed on 4/20. I placed an order for delivery 20 minutes after they opened. 3 hours later my driver arrives. He tells me that the total of my order is $99.00, my emailed receipt (which I showed the driver) was $87.67. The driver couldn't explain what the extra charge was for and ended up speaking to a supervisor who honored the original price. When I mentioned the free goodie bag advertised on the website, the driver seemed to have no idea what I was talking about. Regardless, I paid for my order, tipped the driver, and came in to enjoy my order. When I looked at the flower jar, I noticed the THC% didn't match what was listed on the website. I double checked a confirmed this, then took some pictures that I will attach to this review. The website listed the THC% at 34.20%, the jar says the THC% is 30%. I really enjoy coming to this location because the staff is always really nice and attenuative. I never have trouble parking here and it's also near by to my favorite tiki bar. I have stopped going to other dispensaries just because the selections are awesome here and the pricing is reasonable. They always have interesting selections, such as the cola and other infused sodas. I think this place is too popular that sometimes, of the products we have in mind, they are more often than usual, sold out. This is not a good or bad review it's just a heads up if you are a customer or planning to visit for the 1st time. Beware the prices. I was a happy customer for several months until I saw the price I was charged for a purchase I made a few days ago was more that double what all other stores in the valley were charging. Nothing gets under my skin like overcharging. I just can't get away from the thought, if they overcharge for this they're probably overcharging for everything. Now in this case I don't believe that is happening but it puts a bad taste in your mouth. I was just reading up on what I had purchased, and saw the prices being charged for the exact same product I had purchased was less than half at all the other stores in the area. I though, it can not be. So I really dove deep and checked down to the last detail and well, I was charged more than double. Including tax I paid over $60. Every other shop in the area is 30 dollars or less. I just paid $26 including tax at a location closer to home just now. Again, not a bad review, just a heads up. read more

This review is strictly for what seems like new corporate policies and has zero reflection on the amazing staff that works at the North Hollywood location! for the staff! The taxes are outrageous - recently the taxes have gotten much higher, practically the price of a menu item itself. However, the taxes are also inconsistent from item to item. If it weren't for how much we love the budtenders and security here (Tony is so great), my friend and I would absolutely stop shopping here. We already do sometimes choose to go to a competitor nearby that has opted to not charge the maximum taxes and fees but we love the workers at MMD so we do still occasionally come here. Also, the delivery fees make no sense -- it's free delivery for two items but as soon as a third was added a $3 delivery fee was added? Make it make sense. At the very least the fee should be on orders with less items. Highway robbery. Plus, I just realized I've been getting charged a $4 debit card fee every time I've ordered delivery but paid directly through my bank account and not used a debit card or credit card at all. Cool. Additionally, the delivery process is so backwards and favors the Hollywood and DTLA customers over local NoHo customers. There should be a delivery radius just like restaurants do so that when a customer inputs their address the system should tell them right away if they are within the delivery radius or not. That way the delivery drivers are able to deliver more orders locally to those who patron the store regularly. HUGE shout out to our favorite delivery guys, Kyle and Uriel, for knowing us and stopping management from cancelling our online orders and insisting they deliver to us since we literally live down the road. This has happened at least five times... listen, I don't order edibles for delivery unless there's a real reason, so just help a girl out and don't cancel an order just because someone in dtla didn't order from the store closest to them. Anyway, overall we absolutely love the staff (again 5+ stars for Kyle, Uriel, Tony, and staff) and the prices here used to be the best around but lately things have been getting a little excessive. MMD NoHo is my local MMD franchise so I stopped by just after they opened at 10 am​. This was only my second visit to the store (my first having been on 4/20) and I was eager to test my first impressions against my second. I'm very happy to report that the shop is organized, clean, and well-lit, with a solid supply of brands, varieties, and strains, and it is staffed by very affable, knowledgeable budtenders. I was fortunate to arrive before the green tour bus crowd and walked straight up to an awaiting budtender named Britta. Britta greeted me with a warm and welcoming "Hello" and I responded with a full-throated "Happy 710 Day!" Britta returned the joyful wishes and we both instinctively walked over to the extracts' case. I'd scanned MMD NoHo's menu beforehand and had with me a short list of items to purchase. I didn't need much help making my selections and was able to grab 3 of the 4 Raw Garden strains on my list. Britta confirmed that the 710 Day discount applied to oil cartridges as well as wax extracts, so I also grabbed half gram pods of a few Stiiizy strains. Britta's customer service was superb from the moment I walked into​ the dispensary's inner sanctum. In fact, all the staff looked happy and eager to help. Even the security guard made sure I was aware that my medical recommendation expires in a few weeks. I appreciated the customer service more than MMD NoHo knows. Thank you! But Britta's good customer service was made great when she answered some questions I had about current vape cartridges. Britta affably and congenially discussed the best and less than best brands currently out there and she confirmed something I had suspected: Raw Garden's oil cartridges are to vape carts what their live resins are to wax extracts. Superb! Unfortunately, Raw Garden carts are so popular that MMD NoHo was sold out. Britta did not try to rush me out of the store at all and was happy to talk. We shared stories about what it is like as cannabis consuming parent versus what it is like to be the child of cannabis consuming parents. It is fascinating stuff worthy of further investigation and analysis, and perhaps a lengthy article. Stay tuned. Britta rang up my purchases: Raw Garden grams of indica-dominant Jungle Rush, Bahama Mama, and Cloud Chaser and half-grams of Stiiizy Strawberry Cough and Purple Punch. I paid and left a tip. But before I left I made sure to compliment Britta on her excellent budtending skills and let her know how much I appreciated her help. She treated me with respect, as an equal, was totally transparent and forthright, was friendly and loquacious, and made me feel like a valued customer. Thank you, Britta!
