I rarely leave negative reviews, but I was disappointed with how this situation was handled. I brought back a new disposable before using it because the wax looked unusually dark and I was concerned something might be wrong with it. I was told that the dispensary had contacted the company and that the wax was supposed to look that way, so they would not accept the return. The employee then told me to make sure I preheated the device and inhaled slowly, because otherwise I might not get much vapor from it. That already seemed like a strange warning for a brand-new disposable. After using it, the device became increasingly difficult to get a proper hit from. By the time it was about one-third used, I could barely get anything out of it, no matter how much I preheated it or how slowly I inhaled. A disposable should function properly without requiring constant troubleshooting. I understand that stores have return policies, but I felt that my concerns were dismissed rather than taken seriously, and I ended up stuck with a product that did not work reliably. read more

Great experience walking in and checking out the place. I ended up not buying anything because as I was looking at their stuff, I came across multiple signs that it was cash only, which I did not have on me, and I don't like taking cash out on these ATMs; they tend to be pricey. Nonetheless, the staff was very kind and answered all my questions, and they have a huge amount of inventory, which I loved. I especially loved their edibles inventory, which was stocked high. They got everything you may want, and I know my wife loves the wylds, and they got multiple types of wild edibles, which are her favorites, so I know she is going to love that. Everything is organized in sections, which is the best part and makes everything easy to find, and on top of that, they offer major discounts up to 30% on most items. Such a mixed bag with this place. Some of the best prices I've ever seen at a dispensary and some of the worst customer service lol. So it's really up to you how much you value savings over courtesy. If you don't mind being around a whole bunch of people who hate their jobs, just to get that savings, then go for it. Admittedly I've been in that category sometimes. But then other times I really just think it isn't worth it to save some money. Almost every single person in there never cracks a smile so much to the point that it's almost laughable. I find myself trying not to laugh or smile when I see how absolutely miserable everyone seems to be. It's like a comedy skit like the incredibly sad dispensary or something lol. And the security guards are in a category by themselves. Every single one works overtime at frowning and seeming maybe like they're trying to be tough? but it just seems like they're sad. There's one guy that stands out front at night with dark sunglasses on and piercings in his lip just staring off into space and frowning. I tried to say hi to him one day and of course I got nothing in return. Keep in mind I don't need people to do a song and dance when I come in and I understand that some people have a bad day but this is literally the entire dispensary every time I go in. Now the budtenders will ask how your day was while they are frowning so I'm assuming that was something that is instilled upon them by the management and I guess that's a good thing but when they're asking it with such disdain it really ends up not really being worth it. So that's one of the reasons I did give this place three stars because at least the budtenders while they are miserable are trying to make some sort of effort even if it's manufactured. I took a friend of mine in there recently and it was so hard to not laugh at how sad everyone was. My friend called it the "not an ounce of happiness" dispensary lol. But their Friday King roll special is the stuff of legends. I do have to admit so I really find myself only going in there on Fridays now for that awesome savings because otherwise for me it's just not worth it with the terrible customer service. What a dispensary! This spot is in a prime location. I was waiting for this dispensary to open up! I love that it's right next to restaurants and bars in NoHo arts district. I love the name of this place. Keepin' it simple! I went to shop at The Ounce when they were only 1 week open. There were 2 budtenders and a security guard. The doors were open. They have free parking in their lot! This place is offering a 40% discount for their grand opening. This really helps with the taxes. This shop does have a local tax, state tax, and excise tax. Most dispensaries will have you pay all three... some dispensaries will eat the excise tax. Maybe this is something that will come soon. They are only taking cash. They have an ATM and mentioned they would take debit soon. They have a huge selection of every possible brand and category. Nice glass selection. Top, middle and low tier flower, concentrates, drinks, edibles and it's very shop-able being an open floor plan. I am not sure how long their grand opening 40% off will last but this really makes the prices amazing. I love the solar system mural on the ceiling. I am happy I stopped in here!!! read more

Went here back in December because i was told it had good prices. Ended up being one of the worst buying experiences of my life. I was wearing a mask because my throat felt a little sore that morning, so I wanted to be respectful. Was helped by someone named "Merend", per my receipt. As I literally just had my ID handed back to me by security and walked in, "Merend" said, "Are you ready?" Obviously I was not. I had just walked in, and she saw that it was my first time. -- To make a long story short, I've never been treated so badly by a human in my life. When I told her I was looking for a vape pen, she literally rolled her eyes, because she had to walk "all the way" to the other side of the store (a very small store) where the vape pens were. Then it just got worse. I'm a pretty nice guy, especially when I am in a store. She was shockingly rude. After "helping" me with a few things, I asked what the total was (I wanted to make sure I had enough cash in hand). She said, "Your giving me anxiety." I was shocked and confused. I said, "I'm so sorry...what am I doing to give you anxiety?". Her response was (verbatim), "Well, if you have to ask, it sort of defeats the point, right?". I then said, "Well, I don't want to give you anxiety, so if I knew what I had done, I could try to stop doing it." Her response was simply putting my purchases in a bag, telling me the price and saying "Thank you!". The only thing I regret is not just walking out of there and purchasing nothing. Not that she would have cared. Anyway, maybe the prices are good, maybe not. But I'll likely never go back to this place again, especially if she still works there. I've genuinely never walked out of a store (of any kind) that confused and frustrated. read more

Worker messed up and charged me with wrong discount. When I showed deal and proof , he went to back to "talk" to manager and instantly came back with an attitude trying to explain himself. When I asked to speak to manager he went to grab her and proceeded to gossip behind the doors. PROS: Decent variety and selection CONS: The service is terrible and they don't stand behind their own merchandise. They sold me a defective product and refused to replace it. I've gone to many dispensaries and I've always been allowed to return things that are clearly the merchants fault (even flower). So I know in this case, this is simply poor customer service. This was the first time I as redirected to their manufacturer for help because they refused to assist me inside. Additionally, the taxes and fees are higher that competitors, making it unbearable.
