The diagnostic did not cover some key tests I expected as part of a standard diagnostic. They failed to do a full scan of all systems and failed to check previous codes that were causing problems as well. When I asked about further testing, they wanted to charge me extra. I ended up taking my car back without getting any repairs done. I feel like I didn't get the full picture of what was going on with my car. Also seems like they upcharge significantly on basic parts compared to other shops. Would not recommend.

I also ordered a serpentine belt, an oil filter, and a jug of Mobile One. Paul's Auto Service had been recommended to me by a couple different people and I called to see if they would have a problem with me bringing my own parts and fluids, because some shops definitely don't like if you bring your own parts due to the mark up the shops charge for parts, so if you bring your own they don't get that money. Julie at Paul's said it wouldn't be a problem at all if I brought my own parts, so I got a quote and made an appointment. I dropped off the van and the keys a few days later right before they closed so they would have it to work on right away the next morning. They open at 8 AM and five hours later the van was done. When I went to pick her up they gave me all the old parts and Rob pointed out some wear and corrosion on the water pump and the tensioner that made me glad that I had taken care of this sooner rather than later. The price I was charged was a couple hundred dollars less than another shop in town that I had considered, and it was $1000 less than the Honda dealership in town quoted me. For me, getting automobile service work done is like going to the dentist. I dread it, but Greg the owner, (I don't know who Paul is or was, maybe Greg's dad) his wife Julie, and Rob the other mechanic were so nice and friendly and understanding and and it just couldn't have been a better experience. A very reasonable labor charge, a fast and reliable turnaround as promised, honesty, integrity, and such friendly service. I was a first-time customer, but they made me feel like I had been bringing my vehicles there for years. I am so happy to know where I WILL be bringing my vehicle for any and all service needs in the future.

I appreciated her honestly and willingness to accommodate getting the car in and checked out. initially, the first appointment was to diagnose if it was indeed the blower motor, but they ended up completing the job (new blower motor) the same day and in only 3 hours, saving us a lot of money. They also replaced a very dirty cabin filter. I highly recommend Paul's Auto Service to everyone, especially if you have a difficult, timely repair. He also showed me that the dealership had changed the oil and a couple of other minor repairs. when I drove it off the lot I noticed the gas gauge was at just under 1/8. Every car I have ever purchased from a dealer has always come with a full tank of gas. I tried to fill the tank but the pump kept shutting off. I ignored the problem thinking it was the pumps fault. later tried to fill again at another station, again kept shutting down. Googled why I cant fill my tank, came back as a bad charcoal fuel line filter. Long story short when I had the car hooked up to an analyzer it showed the code had been erased before I bought the car. The dealership knew there was a $600 dollar repair needed but did not disclose the problem. I guess buyer beware is something to remember when dealing with used cars!

I purchased a vehicle from Dave november 2024. putting down %90 cash as I just wanted to have the…read morecar paid off as soon as possible. the car the next day had check engine lights and sputtering issues and and coolant lights and I reached out to Dave and he never got back to me. a couple weeks later I reach back out to him and finally hear back that he's going to come get the vehicle and fix it. come to find out he charges me $1800 and it's still having the same issues and on top of that won't give me the title to the car until I pay for whatsver they did that didn't even fix it. many months later feeling very defeated like I just had to pay off a car that was an absolute turd and come to find out Dave is a close family friend and my family member had heard about my troubles and wanted to help out. we set a meeting between the 3 of us to try to find out a resolution. Dave offered me $4500 for a car I paid him $15000 for plus the 1800 for the "repairs" then after I denied that offer we decided to have them take another look at the vehicle where it then proceeded to sit unlooked at for nearly 30 days until we got bad weather and I needed the vehicle back. so after a year of trying to get this guy to help me out with the piece of junk he sold me we got nowhere. if I would've put the minimum payment down I would've just given the car back because it was trash but sense I paid $13000 down for the $15000 car dave just rolled me over and took my money and didn't offer any help at all over the course of a year. all in all I guess what I'm saying is IF DAVE WILL SCREW HIS FRIENDS NEPHEW OVER HELL PROBABLY SCREW YOU OVER TOO! many of the times I'd come drop off payments dave would also be intoxicated while in the office, the first night I met him there it was later in the evening and I thought maybe they where just hanging around having a couple after work but after dropping off a few months of payments in person he was intoxicated often. Dave's an alcoholic robber of a car salesman and I wouldn't recommend buying a car from him at all.
