I love Mo' Bettahs and consider it overall as the best hawaiian chains in the area. I've been to this location several times over the last few years and was surprised to find that I'd never reviewed it! One of the things I like most about this location is their drive through. It's the perfect location to slip off and on State street and they've always had pretty quick service, so I've never had to wait more than a few minutes to get through the line. The food here obviously won't be any different from the other locations, but if you've never been then I recommend their "mini" option, which will still be plenty of food for one person. My favorite meat is their steak, but I've tried their other options and it just depends on your preference. Overall, you'll hear that their teriyaki sauce is stellar, so I recommend grabbing one or two extras to really drench your meat and rice. I'm not a huge fan of mac salad either, so I swap that for double rice instead and always need that extra sauce to cover all the rice. read more

We haven't been for a while but when our granddaughter called and said she could meet us for dinner and suggested Mo'Bettahs, we said yes. Friday evening (Dec 6th,2024) was busy but we found parking and were able to walk in, order and get our food right away. The people taking our orders were great and handled the customization requests from our granddaughter (she's a big fan of the Rexburg Idaho location). Orem doesn't have as many tables and chairs as the Pleasant Grove location, but we had no problem finding seats for the four of us as the staff actively make sure the tables are clean. The steak and chicken were excellent - hot and juicy. The macaroni salad is my wife's indulgence because it tastes so good and the rice was fresh and warm. Don't forget to try an island drink and get the cookies to finish it off. I must say the small staff impressed me with everything they did. We will be back. Feb 21st - we made it back and I'm happy to say the food was just as great as last time. I ordered in the app and picked it up through the drive through which is popular but thankfully not as long as wait as Chick Fil-A next door. I was surprised but happy to see the same person bringing me my Finau Favorite order that was there last time. We will definitely come back next month! read more

The dude working behind the counter immediately came off with an attitude kinda sucks he dosent have a name tag on as im standing here tall black curly hair gave me and 2 of my friends an attitude the whole time we ordered. Sucks to come from Cali to Utah from work and get treated like this luckily I still wanted my food. So here is my review so far the food review only would be 3 stars. Only because I'm not a fan of the mo bettas sauce. Next time I go I will try a different sauce. This one just seemed to be a little to ketchup ish for my liking. The Mac salad was great and the chicken was also pretty good. The sauce was the only bummer. Now I have this place a 4 star because of the amazing staff. We got our orders to go but the short interaction we had with the employees was great. They were kind and professional. Truly seemed like they took pride In their job. Definitely will be returning to try more menu items. read more

Was looking for something different but not to pricey and came across this gem. As i normally do, i asked the lady behind the counter and she suggested the pulehu chicken. The pulehu chicken was superb. It's not often you get dark meat when it's chicken. It was seasoned with garlic, pepper and sea salt then grilled. It was nice and most and i could cut it with a plastic fork! They give you more than enough and if you leave hungry that's not bc they didn't try filling you. I got a large amount of rice, cabbage and macaroni salad. Again more than enough food. Service was top notch and the place was spotless. read more

First off, my family and I enjoy the taste of the food as someone born and raised in Hawai'i. However, it has been a looong time since we've actually received a full order correctly just as ordered. Usually, we never get the sauce when we specifically order-so this time, we made sure we had the sauce before leaving the window. Check. Got home and was disappointed to see they gave me the wrong meat. This time, we had family visiting town and suggested MoBettahs to which they also had their order wrong which was enough to finally get me to write this review. First bad review I've ever written... This place was either wrong or mo bettahs is really trying to price gouge with a change they just made this week. but this place definitely needs some better customer service. They charged extra for two sauces on a regular even though their website says otherwise and it's always been 2 sauces on a regular. I've been to mo bettahs countless times and always gotten 2 sauces for a regular (even just last week). Those sauces are tiny and the regular is a big plate. It's also cheaper to just order on their website since it's how it's always been on there. Guy who was convinced he was right probably just got embarrassed and didn't want to admit that he was wrong. The main issue was with the young white kid with shaggy hair. Didn't catch a name Receipt even shows 2 free sauces haha. Makes no sense to have the same amount of sauce for a mini and regular when the regular is a lot bigger. No logic there. Super pissed that I just paid $9 for a Pake salad from here that is LITERALLY ONLY chicken and lettuce....ONLY! The salad was always a price stretch for what you get but they at least used to put a few mandarin oranges and a little bit of fried noodles in it, this is just highway robbery. Not to mention the steak in my husbands meal was way too rare. We had to finish cooking it at home. Mo Bettahs quality has sunk way too low. Lived on Kauai for a few years, was homesick and craving some hawaiian grinds-- hit the spot. Teriyaki chicken and kalua pig were great, rice was cooked perfectly. I'm very picky about mac salad but theirs is alright. Staff was super friendly and helpful-- only complaint was that they didn't have chopsticks. There were 3 cars ahead of me and I sat in the drive thru for 45 minutes with my baby crying in the back. There was no way to bail... they almost always take forever. Typically this Mobettas is just ok, but on today's date I went to this location and it was not. My usual chicken choice is the pulehu chicken - and I got a double but was very disappointed. The chicken was way over salted and cooked on a very dirty grill leaving black gritty chunks on the chicken. First and foremost, I love the food at Mo'Bettahs, that is not the issue. I submitted a WEB (online) order to the OREM (115 N State) store. I was given a time that the order would be ready. By the time I got there and pulled in the drive-thru to pick up the order, it was 15 minutes past the pickup time. It appears that OREM doesn't get a lot of online orders or if they do, they don't bother to check for them. They couldn't find my online order and kept asking me more information about it. Finally, after several minutes, they were able to find it, that also meant that it wasn't ready at all for me pickup. I had to wait an additional 10 minutes to get my order. On top of that, one order was supposed to have a tossed salad w/dressing which was not included in the bag. I also ordered extra sauces and they were missing also. Meat portions were also not what we've received from other stores. Worst service and quality control ever! I usually go to Pleasant Grove and have never had any problems with them. Kudos to PG. Advice, go to a different store and make sure you check your order before you leave. read more
