I recently had my garage springs break and called Mo Better (aka Allied Doors on bank statement) because they had just replaced my opener in the summer. The cost was $1,400!! un believable!! Last week I called them because the bracket holding the chain mechanism to the door was loose and the door wouldnt function properly. They told me if it was a service call it would be $79 and someone could be out within a few hours. I told them it had to do with the mechanism on something they replaced over the summer and was covered by warranty....then they told me if it was a warranty call they could have someone out 3 days later!!! I took it upon myself to solve the problem for $0.23 with a bolt from Home Depot. After all I've paid them in the last year, I ended up solving the problem myself. I WILL NOT be calling them again. So disappointed. And yes, that was my brother that only spent $420 for the same problem but used someone else. read more

I recently had Mo Better Garage aka Allied Door to our home to repair our garage door opener. It was a simple repair, but the quick-talking technician ran up our bill to almost $700 by pushing us to install surge protection on the opener to the tune of $409 and new rollers on the door. I believe the technicians are trained to talk customers into unneeded services because two years ago a different technician ran up our bill to almost $600 when we called for again another simple repair. read more

I couldn't be happier. A cable snapped on my one car garage door in Cape Coral on Feb. 23rd, 2025. It was a very old door. I called Mo Better Garage on the 24th. Daniel scheduled with me to come out on the 25th. He showed up on time and we discussed my options, and I decided to go with a new door. Daniel was very Professional and Knowledgeable. The price was right just for me not to have to do it. Sarah immediately called me after Daniel left to inform me, she would be keeping me updated and it would take about 4 weeks. She did a Great job keeping me update. The door actually came in in 3 weeks and they were set to install on the 17th, but I asked if they could do it on March 24th. She said yes. I was glad I did. That was when I had the pleasure of meeting Jailen & Franklyn. They arrived on time and were very Nice, Professional and thorough to every detail of their work. I was Very Impressed !!! and I don't impress easily. When they were done, they were so Gracious and Polite. I think they went above and beyond. I will say they did come out the same day I called. and they did replace 2 springs (1 was broken) It took the repair man exactly 1 hour from start to finish. They charged me $1100 to replace 2 springs and it took 1 hr! After I had the door springs replaced (2) I started speaking to my neighbors who had their springs replaced. Cost ranged from $300 to $500. How do they get away with charging $1100. I am also going to report them to the better business bureau. read more

Total rip off. My garage door would only open and close half way. MO's Technician tried the adjustments on the motor and quickly concluded the motor needed replacement and indicate my option was a complete replacement package including a new motor, rail, keypad and clickers. Estimate of $2,700. Admittedly the motor retailed for $399. Subsequently I called Keith Garage door who quickly made a few adjustments, lubed both of my doors and charged me $125. Now working better than ever. I called MO's garage to complain and was told the service manager would call me. Never happened. Stay away from this company!! read more

Do not use. Called and gave minimum charge of $59 which sounded reasonable. After arriving Price quote for 2 garage springs $1700. Competition was $350-500. I would warn everyone to watch out. Total rip off, they would not quote to replace a garage door spring, but would come out today for $59 to look it all over and quote. They said they had everything needed and could fix on the spot. I had two other quotes ($450 and $500) to do, but they could not do till tomorrow. I had Mo Better out took 5 min to look at and presented 4 different plans with monthly charges. The lowest one, which they called a band aid, two replace the two springs was $1,264. These springs are less than $100. I paid him the $59 and told him I would never do business with them, ever. They are just looking to get as much money from the older population in Florida as they can. He ended up giving me two other prices, down to $750. But would never do business with a company like that. The guy who showed up was nice and professional, he should find a new company. Our garage door spring broke one evening. We called Mo Better Garage. The customer service person was friendly and scheduled our service for the next day. The tech, Nico, was early, which was a nice surprise. Nico was professional and personable. He explained our options and answered our questions in detail. He completed the job quickly, leaving everything neat and clean. The door had never run so smooth and quiet before. We highly recommend Nico and the staff at Mo Better Garage. read more

However, to align the door he took a hammer to the guide posts and applied excessive grease in several locations- a real mess. on top of that, original problem reoccurred. To the company's credit, they did do a f/u asking about their service and when I explained my problem, there was zero followup. Can't recommend! read more

What a colossal rip off artist company. A spring had to be replaced. He suggested we replace the other one and we did. This company participates in deceptive pricing tactics. Their focus is totally about fattening their bottom line, not about giving the customer the best deal. Price ranges are way out of whack compared to other firms. The only positive stroke I will give them was they showed up in the same day we called. My son's truck was stuck in the garage and he needed it. Make sure you refrain from even getting a comparable quote because we paid twenty dollars short of $1000.00 for two springs and a hour labor. NOTHING is comparable. These people need to come with a warning label to protect people's wallets. They get one star only because you need to do that to post your review or they never would have gotten one. read more

A spring broke in my garage door and an overhead door company replaced both springs, lubed and serviced my door for $420 dollars. My sister had the same issue and she contacted Mo Better. They replaced both springs and charged her $1,400.00 What a rip off! read more

***CONSUMER BEWARE*** I called (thinking I was talking with The Overhead Door Company) and explained I needed a new door bottom gasket and mounting bracket. Rain was entering my garage and I had no other issues or needs with my door. I was told the technician would have what was needed to fix it. Before arriving, the tech called asking questions about my door and I stopped him saying all I want and need is my gasket replaced. Upon arrival, he began looking at the rollers, belt, checked the operation of the door, the remote keypad, taking pictures before I stopped him and reiterated again I wanted him to ONLY replace the door gasket. He said he needed to go to his truck to figure out the estimate, after 15 minutes he returned and began reading a bunch of stuff that needed to be done, I stopped him again and said give me the price for the gasket only, to which he replied it was $500+. I told him no, he came back at $400+ saying he removed the maintenance agreement. I said no, his final offer was $290. He charged me $59 for a "Diagnostic Fee" which I paid. They should have been able to give me the price for the parts and know the labor required. Had they done that, I would have never hired them. They prey on the elderly and the ignorant. I called a competitor and got the price of $80 for the gasket and bracket. In order to replace it, I removed 3 screws and 4 bolts, installed the parts and retightened, no re-adjustment required. If you believe in open borders, high crime, no law enforcement, high inflation, high interest, high food and gas prices, then by all means this is the company for YOU! read more
