Our river rafting trip in early May was, without a doubt, one of the highlights of our trip to Moab! The scenery was breathtaking, but what truly made the experience unforgettable was our guide Shaun. Shaun was absolutely outstanding. He was incredibly knowledgeable, not only about the river, but also the history, geology, wildlife, and the entire surrounding area. Every question we asked was met with an interesting answer, and his passion for what he does really shines through. Beyond that, Shaun was kind, funny, smart, and made everyone feel comfortable and welcome from the moment we launched. He struck the perfect balance between keeping us safe, sharing fascinating information, and making sure we were having an amazing time. By the end of the trip, it felt like we had spent the day with a friend. We can't wait to come back to Moab and do it again! When we do, we will absolutely be requesting Shaun as our guide. We did the half day paddle and had Shawn as our guide- he was amazing! He was full of knowledge and made the trip a lot of fun! I was super nervous about the rapids but it was honestly not bad at all. We even got in the water and floated thru the rapids at "swimmers rapids" and took some splashes in the face but it was still a ton of fun! It was warm out so getting splashed and in the water was refreshing! The smaller 6 person boats were the perfect size that you still got some bumps as you went thru the rapids vs the really huge boats some other companies had and it kept it to our family of 5. read more

On 5/4 two of us went on a morning raft with guide- Jayden. The three of us used one raft and the experience was fun and extremely informational. Jayden knows her rocks, dirt and history. Always felt safe whether in raft or riding in van. I think the business should sponsor Jayden to periodically speak to school kids in class about the rock formations, rafting and the history of Moab as their interest would drive business for class trips etc.. My husband and I are in our mid-50s and had never tried paddle boarding before. I was terrified that I wouldn't be able to stay balanced on the board, let alone stand up on it. Despite my hesitation about signing up for the trip, my husband convinced me to give it a try. We ended up being the only participants on the guided tour, with Ramie as our guide - and she was absolutely awesome! Ramie was incredibly knowledgeable about the Colorado River and shared great local recommendations with us. More importantly, she put me at ease immediately and had both my husband and me confidently standing on our paddle boards within just ten minutes of being on the water. We went to Moab for the first time. We came with our kayak and 2 e-bikes. We stopped in SUP to get some guidance on what to do. Misha was very sweet and helpful even though we didn't purchase anything! She recommended that we kayak from the main st bridge to the camp ground. It was perfect. Even though it was a little slow at times, the scenery was spectacular. We didn't see one other person on the river. It was so serene. Since we are beginners we appreciated her advice. She recommended that we go into arches very early tomorrow before it gets hot and the kayak another part of the river in the afternoon. So that is our plan. Repelling in the canyons of Moab was Awesome! We were part of a small group of six, most had never repelled down a cliff but our guide Colin was super patient, encouraging and great at giving clear instructions to each person before their decent. The adventure took roughly 4 hours, we hiked in about a mile to the first cliff, which was roughly 100 feet. Second decent was roughly 125 feet. After repelling down the cliffs we hiked out through the canyons about 2-3 miles crossing streams and surrounded by some amazing rock formations. The adventure was great but Colin's climbing expertise and knowledge of the area made the experience that much better. read more

I did a trip with Tents Without Gents and they partnered with Paddle Moab to guide us down Labrynth Canyon Stand Up Paddle boarding. Emily and Bre were our guides and I can't say enough about what incredible women these two are. Friendly, strong, so smart and can educate you so much about the river and surroundings. I'm just blown away. I love that we didn't have to pack the food and paddle boards since flying into town. They also provided all the dry bags and food. The food and cooking was amazing by our guides, there was always enough. Part of our trip was to help out and do parts of it all but with Covid we could not cook, but we were able to help them in so many ways and I loved every part of it. Always felt safe and cared for and respected. Emily and Bre are just amazing, smart, funny, bad ass women! I have never laughed so much this weekend but they are also so kind and real. We stayed at the Sorrel River Ranch and didn't know what we wanted to do or what was available, we just knew that we wanted to get outside as much as possible to enjoy the spectacular views of Moab. Thankfully the adventure center at Sorrel offered private kayak trips through Paddle Moab. Stash from Paddle Moab picked us up at the resort at 9am and by 10 we were up river and launching into the water. Great conversationalist, super informative (he even told me how / where to do / see squirrel suit jumps on future trips). We were far from expert river kayakers so he made sure to stick near us when needed, given us space when needed and let us know about cool sights coming up and the best paths through each of the sections of rapids. It was altogether a great experience that we're very glad we did. If you go to Moab make sure you call Paddle Moab and book one of their awesome outdoor adventures. Sash is apparently an office manager but every once in awhile guests luck out and get him as their guide. I'd highly suggest requesting him by name because he's a lot if fun to spend time with on the river. Make sure you tip him well, he makes it a very special trip. read more

You HAVE to come here for a water adventure if you are in Moab. It is not only the best way to beat the heat in summer, but the staff are friendly and knowledgeable and make your excursion that much more fun. We did the half day stand up paddle boarding trip (Flatwater Fun) with Misha and Bevyn, two awesome and fun guides. Both were so friendly and accommodating. We felt safe and free to really enjoy ourselves. They are family friendly and were both very kind to my teen and tween aged kids. They drive you to the drop off spot along with boards, paddles, life jackets and dry bags if you need one....and away you go, for about 2 hours total on the scenic Colorado River. Rocks and canyons all around. Breathtaking views. Not difficult at all, even if you are a beginner or brand new to SUP. Bevyn and Misha will talk you through it. Logistics advice: fill out the online waivers ahead of time so you will be ready to go when you arrive, and not keep other people in your group waiting. Make sure to apply sunscreen before you leave, too. Wear a hat, and bring a water bottle with carabiner clips to attach to your board. Water shoes are helpful but you can wear flip flop shoes too. You will probably want to take them off and secure them to your board with those bungee tie thingies. (already on the boards) Ok back to our guides and the other staff members. Everyone is laid back and super cool, and they answered all my questions. This place is a gem in Moab. You'll have fun if you book an experience with them. Do it! read more

The rate was reasonable and included transportation to the river, life jackets, kayak, paddles, and dry bag. The meeting location was easy to find and no issue parking. Our guide was very nice, but the raft was too small for the number of people, the guide admitted to it, which made us extremely uncomfortable and unstable. Some of the people on the raft were not able to get a foothold. A couple of us were thrown from the boat when the guide hit a large rapid in an angle. One person broke their foot when they landed in a rapid on the rock. Make sure you have a seat in the boat not on the outer edge. read more

We did the Medieval Chamber with Jack. It's a hike to a rappelling point, do two rappels down and then hike out. Everything was super safe, Jack was very thorough and encouraging. Also during the hikes he pointed out interesting facts about the area - he has background in Geology so he could explain why the cliffs and such looked the way they did. It was very interesting. If you have the chance I 100% recommend checking it out. read more

If you're looking to rent SUPs to launch on your own, this is a great place. They help you load the inflatable boards onto your car roof (even if you don't have a roof rack). They provide you with a dry bag, paddles, the inflatable SUPs, a towel to protect the car roof, and cords to secure the boards to the car. We took two paddle boards (~$100) to Ken's Lake and had a relaxing afternoon. The woman who helped us was very friendly. read more

This place has it all and we had a blast! Our raft guide Zack took us on a great day on the river where we learned how to paddle whitewater. He was very friendly and patient and even told us about the wildlife and some great history about the area and the climbing he has done on some of the beautiful desert towers you can see from the water. (I think he's a bit nuts, but hey, it's Moab right?) If you're in town and have an afternoon to do something adventurous with great people at a great price, definitely check this place out. We had random winds pick up as we arrived to the dock spot. She ran through the safety guidelines/ info. Even though it was tough in a couple spots, she was so helpful and encouraging. Russ was our guide and was excellent in every way making all of us comfortable by keeping us entertained with his stories andknowledge about the area we were rafting in on the Colorado River. If you want a fun, memorable experience, this is the place to go! We took a raft trip with our guide, Travis, and can't recommend it enough. Such a fun time for all age groups. The whole paddle moab team were so friendly! I forgot my bag in the truck and they made sure i got it safe and sound the next day. Travis was rad and a great tour guide! He shared lots of facts about wildlife, geology, hydrology, and historical buildings along the river. Best raft guide i've had! We went a little later in October and it was a great temperature (75 degrees). Although the high velocity air (wind) wasn't very kind to our group, it was such a blast. This was awesome! I had never gone paddleboarding before and it was so great. Sarah was my guide and I ended up getting a private tour as the two other people in my group dropped out. I could tell that safety was top concern as I got a ton of specialized safety equipment and a good lesson on safety. I'm not an active person at all and am especially not good with any kind of equipment but my guide was encouraging and really helpful! Sarah also knew a lot about the surrounding area, pointed out cool animals along the way, and gave awesome recommendations for the rest of time in Moab. The time on the river was a little longer than the other companies I looked at too, for the same price, which meant I had more time to practice before getting to the more turbulent areas of the river and it was just nicer to be out on the river for a longer time! They're also really generous with pictures. They'll just take them for you during your ride and then post them so you can show anyone. Highly recommended! read more
