Quality ingredients and friendly service. I liked this pancake better than the one I had at the famed Pancake Bakery. Everything feels more healthy, fresh, and made to order here. Go off the staff's recommendations! Anything outside of that may be just A-OK. I got the berry pancakes with saffron ice cream. I didn't like the saffron at all, but that's what I get for being adventurous. What they recommended was the chocolate berry pancakes and savory flavors like ham and cheese. read more

We found Moak Pancakes before a day of museum visits and couldn't have asked for a better start. The interior is very inviting with a cross over between a laid-back record shop vibe and modern lighting. The friendly staff that didn't rush us even though it was getting busy. We spent about $30 each and shared the 'The Flava in Ya Ear', a smoked salmon toast, 'The Wu Tang', a pancakes plate with bacon and eggs, and had two espressos. The plates were generous and delicious but definitely rich, so we asked for extra caramelized onions to balance it out. We loved our breakfast at Moak Pancakes! I ordered the Blue Magic Deluxe with a side of bacon. The bacon was fresh and the pancakes fluffy. The wqiter gave our whole table free ginger shots. Mine slapped me awake like a tiny, spicy ninja. 10/10 would get roundhouse kicked again. The staff was lovely and the vibe hade a cool hip-hop feel. My visit to MOAK was actually a Plan B, when the restaurant I planned to visit had no availability for hours. But it all worked out. Service at MOAK was friendly, helpful and efficient. I probably put my server on the spot when I asked about his favorite pancake. What I chose was jam-packed with fresh fruit, chocolate, cinnamon and peanut butter. A friend described it as "decadent". OK then. The vibe of the restaurant is a comfortable mix of modern and historic. I would definitely return to try more of the menu. read more

Being from the US- I can confidently the American pancakes are NOT American (100% sugar free and served oddly lukewarm?). When we came here we were looking for a sweet pancake, but even with the chocolate sauce and berries this didn't do it for me. Also, had a problem with the temperature we received the dish at. The "Me, Myself and I" (scrambled eggs & cheese on toast) was really solid. The eggs were great and the bread was quite delicious especially with the olive oil and salt. I came here back in 2019 when I was traveling abroad with some friends and although I know this restaurant is very Americanized, it was still delicious none the less! I went with a group of 6 and we were able to be seated right away and the space inside was large, friendly and very clean. The decorations were very aesthetically pleasing and the menu had lots to choose from! We got our food extremely fast and the pancakes were absolutely delicious. I returned 3.5 years later and sadly the vegan pancakes are not as good. They've changed the recipe so that they feel much more rubbery -- last time they were much fluffier and less sweet. I was sad to see that the Vegalicious (hummus, avocado and bell peppers) is no longer available vegan; only the sweet pancakes can be done vegan. So my wife got the Ice Ice Baby, and I got the Blue Magic Deluxe (€13.50). The portions were enormous, each coming with 3 large, heavy pancakes, and plenty of fruit. My wife's pancake came with a scoop heavily saffron-inoculated pistachio ice cream. Unfortunately, as mentioned, the texture of the pancakes just aren't great -- rubbery, chewy and lacking fluffiness. I wouldn't recommend the place at this point. read more
