Hot chocolate and coffee with a mountain of whipped cream and a Stroop waffle

Great service and great food, it is a bit pricey. It is located immediately outside of the central station but we enjoyed it. We were sat right next to the door that never closed so we were cold, but we ordered hot chocolate and it warmed us right up. We got a cute little wooden clog key chain with our check as well

This was our first go of traditional Dutch pancakes and were thrilled with this decision! The portion size is next level. We opted to get one savory and one sweet and enjoy both. Excellent across both flavor types. This place is conveniently located in central station and right on the water. Definitely worth a visit and easy to get as you're traveling around AMS.

During our 2 days in Amsterdam we only visited one of the famous Pancake houses while in town so it's hard to compare it to others but it's hard to imagine after having breakfast at Pancakes Amsterdam that there is a better one. We both had the Pancakes ( one was topped with bacon & one topped with Ham ) Both were excellent and they were quite large. Very reasonable pricing as well. I believe for 2 entrees, a soda and a coffee the bill came to 23 euros. We highly recommend Pancakes Amsterdam!

Great Dutch pancakes, quick service and a wonderful view of the canal. We had fresh orange juice, coffee and, split the banana chocolate almond and apple crumble Dutch pancakes. Slightly pricey but worth it for the view!

This is 1 of 4 or so Pancake Amsterdam locations. No line for dinner at 6:30p on a Sunday. Woot. Love the views here and that it's located right by the station and on the water. Not the most novel pancakes, but they do the job and are reasonably priced. €12 for DIY pancake with options for vegans and gluten free folks €4 for fresh mint tea TLDR: Fast service, decent tasting/$ food, good views. Plus free keychain at the end!

Well, this is certainly not the best pancake restaurant in Amsterdam, "Pancakes!" has two nice features that many of its competitors don't: it's very convenient to the central train station, and it has a ton of options for people with dietary restrictions (particularly dairy and gluten). The actual restaurant is right next to the river (near the ferry dock), and if you are lucky, you can snag a table with a view of the water. They have two menus: one standard menu, and one that includes vegan/dairy-free/gluten-free choices. Service is super fast, prices are fairly standard, and there's a (somewhat hidden) clean bathroom. So, if you find yourself waiting for a train at central station and craving some Dutch pancakes, walk on over to this cute little eatery and go to town!

This place is very good. Don't wait in a long line for it. But if the line is short... go for it! Dutch pancakes are the ticket.

My check was wrong, but when I asked the waitress she rolled her eyes and walked away. The food was pretty good though.

The place has an incredible personality starting with the super narrow stairs you have to climb to get there. Gives you a feeling of a quirky fun atmosphere with teapots hanging from the ceiling. I suggest you order a savory and a sweet pancake so you can compare. We pick "The King" for sweet, with strawberries, powder sugar and whipped cream and the bacon, cheese and sugared ginger for savory. Both were really good but my fav definitely was the sweet one. The portion per pancake is enough for one person and they are also perfect for share if you order two or three. There are other pancake places but this one felt authentic!

This place has changed its name to The Pancake Club, but looks to be serving the same thing…read more Located right next to river and has seating outside under mostly shaded trees. We were there the day after Kings day and it was a lovely morning. The weather was cool, but not cold and we were able to enjoy the nice breeze and canal boats passing by. I was also able to connect to the WiFi from the Casino across the river. It was weak, but still worked. We were seated outside and waited almost 10 minutes before anyone came by to take our order for food and drinks. We ordered the banana crepe to share and I got a coffee while my wife ordered the pear juice. The pair juice comes from a bottle. The coffee was served in a small cup and was ok. I am used to drinking it with cream and sweetener. But Europeans don't have these items, so I just drank it with sugar. I think we waited almost 30 minutes before our food came out. Now, we only ordered crepes with bananas inside. Usually at the mall, it takes a few minutes to make crepes. I don't know how it took almost 30 minutes for them to make 1 item. Mind you, the place was not full when we came, so I don't understand how long we had to wait for our server to order our food and why it took so long for them to make our food. Once it finally came out, I thought the crepe was good, but not out of your mind fantastic. It's just basic tbh. Will I ever come back, probably not due to the wait time and the food wasn't all that great.

Because it explicitly says no cash on the entrance! I can't stand bad yelpers. This place is terrific and if you want a nice breakfast or lunch in a casual and relaxed place literally within spitting distance of the Anne Frank House, this is it. They do have American pancakes but don't waste your time on those. Get one of their pancakes which are kind of like crepes but definitely a pancake. So good! Plus they have both gluten-free and vegan options as well. FOOD: The pancakes are amazing. I had a pastrami pancake (holiday special) and it was delicious. My wife had the honey and cheese with apples and that was delicious also. It was fun, different, and tasty all in one. SERVICE: Terrific. Great service and the portions are just right. You may not be totally stuffed, but you will be comfortably full and that's coming from a big guy. And like I said, can't believe they had gluten-free options! COST: A bit pricey but considering this is an unique experience, then totally worth it. Would definitely go again.
