Photo of artist with art we purchased.

Visited the gallery because I love glass. Ryan was so friendly and welcoming. There are several gallery areas where you can see his art. We definitely would have joined a class if there were openings, but they were booked. So plan ahead and book early! Also, yelp doesn't say this but they are now open 7 days a week! So be sure to drive by. We purchased a piece of art and Ryan signed it for us and we got a photo too.

We were able to enjoy a glass blowing class with Moana Glass and it turned out to be the highlight of our week long vacation. My son is wheelchair bound and has limited mobility but they allowed him the opportunity to create a beautiful piece of art that he cherishes. The staff was loving, kind and taught him a lot about the trade. If you are visiting Maui I highly recommend participating in one of the classes offered.

Glassblown fish that we made!

We took a glassblowing lesson at Moana Glass during our trip in Maui. We had a super fun time and got to bring back a beautiful, handmade keepsake! They were directly affected by the Lahaina fire, lost their gallery, and had to repair their workshop due to the smoke damage. They are back up and running again and would be a fantastic place for you to support. Adam did a good job convincing us that we should make the fish sculpture and we're glad that we decided to do that because we got to see (and try) a bunch of cool techniques. You get to pick out the colors that you want and they'll give you some protective eye glasses to put on. Make sure you come wearing fully closed toed shoes and cotton clothing. They let you engrave 2 letters or 2 numbers to the bottom of your sculpture. Our glass blowing instructor Paul was very skilled and entertaining. He did a great job guiding us through the different steps and making sure our fish came out looking fantastic. The glass that you make can be taken home after 3 PM the next day (they will bubble wrap it for you), or they have an option to ship it. Definitely recommend this glassblowing experience as a meaningful way to give back to the businesses in Lahaina. Go check them out!

First breath!

Just purchased a mother and baby whale. First breath. Absolutely stunning. Ryan's work is breathtaking! If you are in Maui, take the time to visit. A walk thru the art gallery is incredibly beautiful and so well worth it. We spent time watching him at work! Such an artist.

Jesse was awesome and the experience was super fun. He had the patience and expertise to make novices successful. Super fun - highly recommend!

During our trip to Maui, my spouse and father-in-law decided to try something new and signed up for the glass blowing lesson. My spouse was all in from the start, while me and my father-in-law were more "curious but cautious." Turns out, we all ended up loving it! I made a vase and my spouse and father-in-law crafted tumblers. Luis, our instructor, was an absolute gem--funny, patient, and incredibly talented. We laughed, and were genuinely blown away by our creations. This little adventure wasn't just a highlight of our trip to Hawaii; it's now in our "best-ever" memory bank! If you're in Maui and even slightly tempted, do it! You'll leave with stories, laughs, and a piece of paradise to take home.

Had a great time Louie. He was personable and guided us through the experience of making a vase and bowl. Great job.

Worth it. It felt very tailored to the individual and they made sure you made something beautiful while still letting you participate within your skill level. We loved Vito. He was very kind and extremely knowledgeable and seemed to actually like answering all of our annoying questions while he was sweating and carrying something that was 1 billion degrees. It's cool they let you watch for free and you probably would learn a lot from that but actually getting to handle the glass and learn the medium was so special. Then we got to take home such a beautiful piece (thank you Vito for making sure of that.) Let's be honest, it's expensive. But given you're paying for the experience, a professional lesson, and getting to take home a beautiful piece of literal art... that's a great price. Think about whatever an artist's time is worth and that you get to spend one on one time with them and it was not rushed. Then think about all the specialized tools and equipment available to you. Then think about how your gorgeous glass fish or item will look in your home and how much better it is than a tacky keychain that says Maui with a little picture of a dude on a surfboard. You get a piece of handmade art and fun memories! "Wow, that's beautiful! Where did you get that" We MADE it on MAUI!

An absolute must experience! As you explore Maui you will discover numerous art galleries with blown glass art from artists on Maui and the Hawaiian Islands. Skip them ALL and go to Moana Glass in Lahaina! Not only do they have an amazing selection of blown glass art for purchase you also can watch glass blowing live or even make your own piece at a great price! We chose to make our own blown glass art piece, and the experience was amazing! The trained expert staff of artisans guide and assist you the entire process from beginning to end. Neither my wife or I are artists of any kind but with Paul's help we were able to make a really nice blown glass fish in about 45 minutes. Paul took the time to explain each step of the process as we meticulously made our fish from a blob of 2000F+ molten hot glass. After we made our fish it was transferred into a "controlled" cooling kiln to allow the sculpture to cool slowly to prevent thermal cracking. If you are looking for a unique experience which goes beyond your standard art gallery tour you must visit this place. It is located just as you enter Lahaina from the bypass on the right. You can't miss it. Have fun and enjoy!

Taking a glass blowing lesson at Moana Glass is an absolute must experience. Not only do they have an amazing selection of blown glass art for purchase in their gallery, you can watch glass blowing demonstrations and you can make your own piece and take home a wonderful souvenir from Maui. We chose to make a pufferfish and our instructor Louie guided and assisted us throughout the entire process. This was our second lesson with Louie. He's fantastic and makes the process fun. We look forward to visiting Moana Glass again next year.

What an amazing experience. The pieces in the store were stunning. Making my own glass ornament was a fun hands on learning experience. Each of the team members were personable sharing their stories, teaching us about this art form and answered questions. I will definitely return.

Why would you buy a keychain or fridge magnet when you could create a glass masterpiece to have forever as a memory of a great Maui vacation! We have decided to come here each time we visit Maui, to add more pieces to our new collection! Jesse was amazing and we made a fish and a heart. It was so interesting and so much fun!

I have always wanted to see and experience the art of glass blowing. So while on a short business trip, I did a private class for 1 hour. I thought it was quite exciting taking part in this process. It was easy with the help of the friendly staff. I am also happy with the work of art that we created. Thanks to Moana for the great experience!

When you first walk in, you are treated by lots of local art in vibrant colors. In the back there are cases with eclectic jewelry, goddess style dresses, t-shirts and small gift items. The prices are on the high end, but this is a tourist mall and the items are unique. I've been searching for a pair of Sterling and Larimar earrings to match a gorgeous pendant and ring I have. Larimar is a sky blue stone from the Dominican Republic. It's rare and very very striking. Most earrings are small drops but I like long dangling earrings that make a statement. I found them here and didn't hesitate to by them immediately! The stones are large and a perfect shade of sky blue hanging from a curved hook so they hang at cheek level. Perfect! They were $138 and I already treasure them. Wish this shop had more jewelry, gifts and clothes! A gem amongst the stores at this mall. The woman waiting on me was super friendly and we easily engaged in conversation. I'll be back!
