These guys don't know what they are doing. I brought my own factory oil filter which had a blatant pictogram showing that you need to fill the filter with oil before installing it. I brought my own oil and filter. Owners manual and Cummins says this must be done as well. The filter holds almost two quarts, so the engine was running without oil for the first minute of operation. Even worse they argued with me about it and wouldn't prefill it after I asked. Thanks for putting my new Diesel at risk guys! To add insult to injury they tried to charge 10 dollars more without explanation over the price quoted when I pulled in. Not cool. Just lazy and untrained. read more

Thank God for the guys at Pennzoil Bothell! Me and my truck limped in the other day with a check engine light on that became a "low oil pressure, shut engine off immediately" warning. After searching for oil shops in a panic, I ended up at Pennzoil and got in immediately. I simply needed more oil, which the boys advised me of and they loaded my truck up with one more quart of oil than for a normal change. 10 minutes later, my oil was changed and refilled, and the guys vacuumed my truck and cleaned my windows as well. Great place to get your oil changed. They do a good job making sure all my fluids are filled and that the small maintenance jobs are up to date. The waiting area is clean, as is the restroom. They even have seats outside for you to sit if the weather is nice. I like that they vacuum my car as well. I see that some people have had aggressive upsell; that has not been my experience. They ask me if I want wipers, I say no, that's the end of it. Overall, I'm happy to be their customer for a regular lube and oil change, and I have no reason not to recommend them. read more

I was on my way home when I heard a weird noise under my car. I happen to pass by this Pennzoil so I thought I'd try my luck and see if they could look under my car just to check it out. They were nice enough to check it out and tighten my skid plate back on that had come loose, free of charge. As far as I could tell, these guys are definitely friendly and courteous, they've for sure earned my business in the future. read more

You might think WOW five stars for an oil changing place but I have been getting my oil changed for all of my vehicles at this location for the past three years and in that time I have never had any problem. The service is excellent and the owner is always there underneath the vehicles draining the oil, which is the reason why I continue to go back. My biggest fear is having a young person who doesn't really care about their job unscrewing and screwing my oil plug. A simple task, but an extremely important one that can be disastrous if not done correctly. The last thing anyone needs is to have oil leaking from their oil pan. I can always rest assured that this isn't going to happen as long as I keep going here. They are also great about letting you know if and when you need your other fluids flushed out like, transmission fluid, power steering etc. read more

I will never take my car here again! They ruined my oil tap and now it's going to cost $200-400 to fix. AMATEURS! Oil is leaking all over my driveway and everywhere I go until I get it fixed somewhere else. I tried to do something nice for my car and these guys made matters a lot worse. INCOMPETANT OWNER & BAD QUALITY WORK I took my car to Pennzoil 10 Minute Lube in Bothell for an oil change. My car was leaking oil the next day so I brought the car back to them. George, the owner, personally redid the oil change. The next day I had the same problem so I took the car to my dealership. They were shocked by the horrible job George did, over-tightening the oil filter - which caused the leaks. BEWARE. When I went back to talk with George, he said he had never seen me before and would not take responsibility, even though I had a receipt with his name and signature on it. read more

I have been to this place 3 times now and each time the service was great. I really appreciate the service person telling me what things I should replace and what can go a little longer. Very clean, very knowledgable about there cars, quick for the amount of work they do for a full service oil change. They don't upsell items, but they do let you know if anything needs to be done for future reference. read more

My last experience with the staff at this location was very unpleasant. They did not check the cooling fluid in my car and the level was below minimum. I was lucky that a mechanic at a different shop brought it to my attention a few days later during a routine maintenance. And there were no leaks identified either. You have to be very careful with the type of tasks the staff at this location performs, they seem clueless and that may damage your car in the long run. I had been taking my cars there for about 3 years. Went in for a normal Oil Change that ended up costing about $65. They repeatedly attempted to up-sell me. I asked specifically twice if they had topped off the transmission fluid as I know I have a small leak. I was assured the transmission fluid was topped off. Two days later I checked the fluids as the transmission had started slipping and found it two quarts low. I have been keeping track of it since and find I go through about a quart every 4 months. There is no way they topped the fluid. Even worse I traveled north last month to go on an Eagle Float on the Skaget River on a early cold morning (28 degrees) and was traveling about 50 miles an hour when going around a bend into the sun that caused some glare because of dust on my windshield. When I used the windshield washer the fluid they had put in my car instantly froze on the windshield as if it was plain water. This was an instantly blinding, dangerous situation. When I complained about these issues the I basically blown off. I will not be returning with any of my 3 vehicles in the future. read more

Typical fast-lube place that tries to upsell you on all sorts of things. The upseller told me I needed fully synthetic oil and if I didn't use it, it would void the warranty. Nonsense. He also recommended to another customer that they needed to do a full flush for $50. I gave him enough of the stinkeye that he didn't bother me about anything else. Just looked at my daughter's receipt for an oil change she got on 4-15-2016. $87.03 after a $10 coupon! I see they upsold her for Synthetic Oil and then an additional $9.49 for the 6th quart needed. Come on guys, the car has 67,000 miles on it and then to make matters worse you recommend changing it 3000 miles later? She called me from the place when they were pressuring her for a power steering and brake fluid flush and I told her no. Had no idea they would trick her into the synthetic. She won't be coming back and we'll spread the word. Don't these guys have sisters, wives or daughters? They should be ashamed of themselves. read more
