I took my car to the Bothell location to find out why I was leaking fluid. They could not find anything wrong, just topped me off and charged me $15.94. I then took my car to the Kenmore location and less than five minutes later my radiator needed to be replaced. They ordered the parts and one day later all was repaired. Excellent service. Shout out to this service provider for having hours all week long and providing services in addition to oil changes such as air conditioner checks. With the heat we've been having, our car air conditioner puked. We took it to Grease monkey because they do offer air conditioning recharge. They were kind enough to do the diagnostic and determine the air conditioning didn't require a recharge. They communicate and clearly what they found and only charged us for the diagnostic and not a recharge. This service star has been available to us throughout the pandemic, and we have probably needed more car maintenance and upkeep because some of our only options during the pandemic was to be in the car a lot more. read more

So I used to do all my own oil changes, fast/easy/cheap. On occasion I would treat myself have pay someine else. Today I tried Grease Monkey for the first time. The good: 1. Staff was friendly and courteous 2. They offer complimentary bottled drinks 3. They have a countdown timer on the wall for your car. They pay you $1 for every minute they go over. You know when it will be ready and if they are late then money in your pocket. 4. They were cheaper than Jiffy Lube with online coupons readily available The bad 1. Like the other review, their recommendation was not correct. They said the transmission should be serviced every 2 years. For my automatic, Toyota recommend every 100,000 miles. I've always believed that a true measure of good customer service is how a business responds when something goes wrong. My initial experience with Grease Monkey in Kenmore was good. They got my car in quickly and back on the road the same day. The bill was reasonable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. I was totally happy. Then 3 months later the part they installed failed. I was told by the dealership that I should have gotten the OEM part and that I'd have to redo the repair at a cost that was more than double what I'd paid originally. When I called Grease Monkey to explain what happened, Aaron immediately offered to redo the job, installing the more expensive OEM part at no additional cost to me. They also completed the repair 3 days before the dealership would have. Aaron did everything he could to complete the repair quickly and the shop absorbed the cost of the more expensive part. I was very impressed by how they handled the situation and I will definitely return the next time I need work done on my car. read more

I got my 2018 Ford Focus used refurbished 8 months ago, no problems. Last week I go to get my oil changed here. They upsold me from the $60 package to the $100 package. Fine, turns out I have a turbo. Today I start my engine and out of nowhere indicator lights come on and my car's computer sends me a "service now" message when I'm already on the freeway. As I'm exiting, my battery craps out. Now I'm stuck on the freeway off-ramp. The only thing that changed from the last 8 months until now is I went to this Grease Monkey. I'm from Chicago, but living in Washington for work. I knew my car needed an oil change and went in the morning not knowing what to expect. They helped me get to know it's a nice first come first serve for oil changes and got my car in. I am happy with the service and all. I wish I could have gotten their names but this one worker helped with me when I had to go back to ask a very dumb car question (now that I look back at it) but got it all figured out. After being told that a local mechanic near my house had a month long wait to get an oil change, I called up this Grease Monkey. They said it was first-come, first-served and they had an opening now. I came on my lunch hour. The service was fast and friendly. I have been to another Grease Monkey location and this one seemed comparable. They recommended I replace some of my filters; always hard to know if it's necessary or not, but the guy seemed to give me an honest opinion. After I left I checked some of the recommendations for filter changing online and it seemed their recommendations were in line with them. They attempted to vacuum my car even with a ton of clutter in my backseat. read more

Had them recharge my A/C because it was cool, not cold. Charged me $200 to recharge it. Didn't feel any difference, but it was cold weather for a few days, then it got hot and the A/C wasn't cold. Took it back and they told me the warranty is 14 days. It had been 18 days, so not only did I get screwed by not recharging it, but they wanted another $200 to do it again. They stole my money and said have a great day. read more

Called in advance and was able to get a price quote up front for an oil change, which was competitive with other places I was looking up. Upon arrival they were able to provide fast and friendly service -- from start to finish it only took about 20 minutes, and they topped off some fluids and made sure the tires were filled to the right pressure. Grease Monkey - Front of the new Grease Monkey! - Auto Repair Near Me - Kenmore, Washington

I used to go to this Grease Monkey all the time, but management seems to have changed over in the last couple months. Last time I went I got an oil change for my Volvo... mid way through they told me that I would have to go to a different Grease Monkey to get my oil filter replaced because they misplaced their tool for my Volvo (I was totally fine with as I have ran into similar situations in the past at other shops) but because they already drained my oil they were going to fill it up with the new oil and have me on my way. I proceeded to the other location and got the oil filter swapped which was quick & easy. However, when I was on my way to class on the freeway dark smoke started to come out of my car when I was accelerating uphill - I thought maybe some oil had dropped into the exhaust or engine and was burning off so didn't think it was too bad - then on my way home it happened again but this time I basically covered the entire freeway in dark smoke so I knew something was very wrong. I took it back to the Grease Monkey right when it opened the next morning and told them the issue and they said they would look at it - 5 to 10 mins later he gives me my car back and says everything looks fine to him and nothing looks like it was loose or dripping and I should take it to a Volvo dealership. I quickly scrambled to find a Volvo repair place to look at my car and luckily one place could look at it then - I brought it over and they suspected they had over filled the oil. They kept it for the day to test it and then do a diagnostic... and come to find out they put almost an entire GALLON of extra oil in my car - so they either didn't drain it all the way (or at all) or just added 4 extra quarts. The mechanic said it could've potentially ruined my catalytic converter, O2 sensors, piston rings, etc. but won't know until I drive it more. After getting my car back, I immediately drove back to the Grease Monkey and told them the situation and asked for a refund. The person apologized and did provide me with a refund. However, giving one star as a quick lube shop should not be messing up oil changes to the point of ruining your car. read more

I came here today to get the oil changed on my truck. I watched the techs and they were very thorough and communicative. I used to work at a Jiffy Lube when I was in high school and I know first hand they don't do very good work. I been here customer for years But I got new car and first time change my car but this time they change me 6 quarts oil for 4 cylinder car The dealer charge me 5 quart oils hmmm and I checked online but still says 5 quarts oil then I know they change me extra so make me to no go there anymore and not recommend to anyone they will overcharge you read more

I went to get an oil change. The service was fast, friendly, and complete. Due to the pandemic, I stayed in the car the entire time. The associate guided me into the bay, explained what they were doing and took my payment all while I sat in the car. I was in an out in probably 30 minutes. He explained everything on the checklist and asked a few times if I had questions or concerns about my car. Overall, I am really happy and will return. read more

Watch out for dishonest recommended maintenance info. They told me the rear differential fluid on a subaru is recommended for changing every 15,000 miles. Not so (its recommended only at 30,000). Apparently that's what they're trained to do. Guy was nice enough to give me my money back, to his credit, but still, Kenmore doesn't need dishonest businesses like this taking advantage of people's ignorance. Buyer beware. read more

I was happy with their service. My break switch has problem and I thought I need to change it. But after they look at it they said something else cause problem that does not need to replace the part. They just charge me for the service. ( while every where else charge you for unnecessary charges) Also, my window was broken and they knocked the window and vacuum it for free. read more

The three boys who helped me were all super nice and made sure I understood what they were saying. They cleaned the inside and all the windows, they refilled some things for free, and what I did pay for seemed really fair to me. They came out and explained that they did certain things last time and when I should get those things next. They scanned my engine computer and explained the code that showed up, then they told me what to do next. I'll be there again in 5k miles! read more

This was the best oil change experience of my life, I must say! Driving up, I was met by 3 very helpful and friendly service people, the oil change was quick, they did a great job vacuuming out my car, put air in the tires, checked all the fluids, gave me a helpful report on some other things they saw, and they had an immaculate waiting room which was delightfully air-conditioned, and stocked with juice, coffee and bottled water, all complimentary. It was like going to a nice hotel! I will definitely be returning to this particular Grease Monkey with my business in the future. there are new franchise and are clearly putting heart and soul into making it a successful business.
