So I gave these guys a shot and I was so happy I did. They didn't try to upsell me with needless services using a scare tactic that if I didn't do it my motor would blow up. In fact, the lead tech came into the office with a grimace on his face in what looked like preparation for an argument from me about what was recommended. I read my owners manual and was aware of the need for full synthetic oil. He seemed relieved when I agreed with him on the synthetic oil and the cost of it. There was no attempt to upsell me at all and consequently I go back here every time I can and recommend them to anyone who needs a referral to a good lube shop. Good news: after they put up the Phillips 66 sign I was nervous that they had been bought up by a big oil company... which they may have... But my wife took her car in a couple weeks ago and found the same great, no-BS service remains. They're really friendly guys that work there, too.

Yells at you - in Spanish no less - with every drop of a quarter into the machine. Why, people can't see the display right in front of them, indicating how much money they've deposited? Then it screeches during the last minute of your time. THEN it further assaults your ears after time has expired, demanding you move your car out of the bay. I'd rather drive a dirty car than put up with that abuse. - Besides, you'll have a dirty car anyway because the water pressure is substantially lower than at other self-serve car washes. - The good news is that it's only $2 for 4 minutes. Or free with an oil change.

I had to put tire on my Dodge Ram and was staying at the Moose lodge in La Pine, right across the street from the Gills Point S took it there to have it aligned. It was wondering a little so I told Evan. He explained that if they found something it would have to be fixed prior to the alignment. Which I know. They found needing immediate attention needed. Tiered drag link, tiered pitman arm, Alignment. Also Ball joints. And rear shocks. I was willing and wanted it fixed before I left the following Monday. Told them I was free Thursday morning or all day Friday. It was the first of the week. Tristen said he would get back to me. That was Monday morning Tuesday I called him because I haven't herded anything. He said he was waiting on the parts house to get back to him. Never heard another word from this shop. I hate Schwab but from now on I will trade with them when in that area. They have lossed my trust. I spend a lot of time over there. I know I will not recommend that shop. I know Gills also has the same name on one in Bend. Just wanted the owner of both to know the one in La Pine just lost my business and anyone I know in the area will be informed.

It is a long read but I had to put all the detail. I have…read morebeen going to Bend Express Lube for about 20 years, never really had a problem with them until last week. Took my 2020 Tiguan in for an oil change, no problem, should be easy. When I arrived two of the employees asked for the mileage on the vehicle, my wife, who was driving, read it to them. Then of course they want to upsell another service, air filter, nope, I will buy one at the auto parts store which is cheaper. THEN one guy suggested to flush out the coolant which was going to cost about $150, he said with all the miles on the car it should be done, he said it was bone dry and this summer was going to be extremely hot, we declined the service. We had a $99.99 coupon for the service but found another coupon for $89.99, gave it to them thinking that what will be the price NOPE!! The final total was $117.73, as we were leaving I was looking at the invoice then inquired about the higher price, he said because our vehicle takes 6 quarts of oil and charged $12.75 for the extra quart of oil. The mileage they have on the invoice said 169,059, TWICE we told them the mileage, the car only has 62, 059 miles, stupid. When we got home I checked the coolant myself, no it wasn't bone dry, it was exactly where it supposed to be. DON'T FALL FOR THEIR LIES TO DO EXTRA SERVICES !!!!

Great service, staff and best price around…read more After going to my dealership, and being told I needed new brakes claiming I was down to 2 & 3% left on my pads, I went to Midas knowing they have a best price guarantee and lifetime brake pads guarantee. The owner of the Bend Midas store actually told me I had 20% left and I could wait awhile !!! When I did have my brakes done, it was easy to get an appointment and while I was waiting, two of the mechanics took the time to have short conversations with me and make my wait seem a little more pleasant. It's nice to know they are friendly and honest and not just trying to "sell" you.

We were then called and told the car didn't need any fluid changes but instead said the front brake pads were very bad and needed to be replaced. They also said the front tire baring was loose and needed fixing as well which came to a total of $1900. We were skeptical- so we took the car to a well known mechanic and trusted business that has done my tires for years. We were then told the front brake pads still have half life and were totally fine to keep using. Also that he didn't notice any front baring loose. Because of this incident we spent hours looking for a rental vehicle to continue our roadtrip to California- they caused us so much stress and delayed our vacation by 2 days.
