Well after paying the pump didn't work properly. The money was prepaid, I followed the directions, took the pump off the hook raised the level and squeezed the handle. Nothing came out and the sale didn't change on the screen. I went inside to talk to the clerk on duty, Marla. Now let me say she was great and the owner is lucky to have her as an employee. I told her the problem and she was going to immediately come out and take a look but I told her it could wait since she had a line of people checking out. After helping each person she came out to check the pump and saw it hadn't issued any gas and recognized there was a problem. Marla then checked the register and saw the sale had cancelled itself out because of the wait caused by the line of customers. At this point Marla was going to refund my card but we both knew that wouldn't solve the problem since a refund isn't immediate and I need the gas to get home. My red light was already on and had been for a while. Because of the situation Marla called her manager Barbara who was offsite to get a resolution that would work. This however turned into a big mistake. I sat there and watched Marla try her best to explain the situation to her manager however Barbara had no idea how to stop taking and actually listen. Right there we wasted 10 minutes. Barbara kept insisting Marla run my card again even after I pulled up my bank account on my phone and showed the amount had already been pre-approved and a hold had been placed on my account. So Barbara's next solution was to refund my card which apparently as a manager she didn't understand isn't immediate and still didn't resolve the issue of me paying for gas to get home. After wasting everyone's time and telling Marla 3x's she didn't want to speak to me she finally gave in and Marla handed me the phone. Now you would think the first thing a manager would do when speaking to an upset customer is introduce herself and apologize for the situation but no her opening line was I understand what's happening and explained to me how they would have to charge me again for gas again. After listening to everything she had to say I kindly explained to her that my card had a hold and the bank had issued an approval code when they ran my card. With that approval code they had received authorization before I could even finish my sentence she interrupted me, said they would have to charge again, in her own words say I was wrong and a liar. I cut her off and said very nicely I let her speak to me without interrupting and I expected the same from her. Apparently expecting any kind of customer service from Barbara shouldn't be expected. She tried to put me in my place and I very directly told her I wanted the name of the owner. She refused and I asked again. Her response "Well have her call him instead of me" I told her that was no problem and I would be more than happy to and hung up. I gave the phone back to Marla and asked her to call the owner when she finished with her line of people. Now at this point I was still polite despite having a manager treat me like crap because she didn't feel like doing her job. Marla did the right thing at this point and apologized for the situation, finished with her line of customers and processed a sale to cover the gas I had already paid for. She then came out to the pump and made sure it worked properly for me. Marla gave amazing customer service and could honestly teach Barbara a lesson about retaining customers and turning a negative situation into a positive one. Because of the time wasted I wasn't able to make my appointment and now have to reschedule and drive to the area again. Which means I have to spend more gas. So it cost me more money to get one gallon. I wasted over 20 minutes to fill up and would have never considered coming back except Marla's effort to make the situation correct is the reason I would give them another chance. If you ever have a problem and have to deal with Barbara's attitude and lack of respect then please be advised the owner is Kheara. If you are lucky enough to have Marla as your clerk than make sure to thank her for being a great employee and let her know she makes a difference m. Because of her people enjoy coming here. My star is strictly for Marla understanding and delivering the customer service that any business needs to retain customers and succeed

They had pre arranged sandwich options as well as thr ability to build your own. Chips included in the price. They had an ice cream counter including Moose Tracks! Will need to get that on my next visit. Very friendly staff!

Awesome little convenience store with plenty of character on the way to Harrison. They have a great…read moresupply of snacks, drinks, ice cream and some pretty tasty sandwiches to boot! Friendly service and some outdoor seating as well as picnic are behind the building to take in some of the lake views. Would loved to have come back for one of their breakfast burritos, however, it's a bit of a trek from the main city. Highly recommend making the drive though as it's very picturesque along the windy little roads!

WARNING! Do not sign up for a "Nitro" card! I did on April 20, 2025 and it has caused me nothing…read morebut grief! The local store clerks encouraged me to sign up. But when I did and tried to use the card to buy gas at Maverik it was refused. The store could not figure it out. But I bought a soda on the card and it went through. The nitro card has worked for a soda several times. The clerk/s asked me numerous times to call the corporate number and finally I did. The are located in the Philippines and thus difficult to communicate with. But I was told they couldn't see a not see a problem. I asked for a supervisor but after waiting 15 minutes was told they were too busy but would call me. Well, it never happened! After a few days and encouragement from local Maverik clerks I called again. Same problem except this time a manager finally came on line and told me my account was turned over for collection to a credit bureau. It was for just a few dollars but now my credit is ruined. Until this fiasco with Maverik I had perfect credit. What a mess for me!

I called the tow company posted on the sign in front of the cars and was told I was not authorized to call. I went back in asked the girl to call but she wasn't able to and she again stated she was busy but would call her manager. We had to disconnect our trailer in the hottest part of the day just to dump our RV. Before we left my husband checked back in with her and was again told she was busy but when the next person came in she would call her manager. We had to get on the road but I really doubt she called. Absolutely terrible customer service!!!!!!!

In today's case I awarded a free bottle of tea and then I purchased a burrito and large soda for $4. The buffalo chicken burrito was pretty darn good and filling too. I do agree with others that they don't keep the floor and counters very clean around the soda machines. This is an issue at most of their stores though. On the gas side, this location does carry non-ethanol fuel, or as they call it, 'clear gas'. Because this location is right on the corner of Hwy 2 and the very busy Hayford Rd, it can be kind of a pain to get in/out of the entrances.

The friendly store people could not figure it out, but encouraged me to call. I kept trying to use my Nitro card and it soon would not let me buy even a soda. I called the company ( which by the way is in the Philippines). They could not figure it out either evenly with their broken English. I asked for a supervisor but was told after 15 minute wait that they were busy, but would call me back. Well that never happened, so 3 or 4 days later I called them again. Still the same run around but, I was told that now I had a small outstanding bill that they had turned over for collection. Well up until the Nitro card fiasco I had perfect credit. So my word of advice is don't ever get or use a NITRO card. Maverik is an off shore company with dubious business practices. BEWARE! I know they say there located in Salt Lake City, but contact numbers only get you the Philippines and people with bad English skills.

Would probably have picked up some more of the cute little items/knives on display but since we were on vacation I didn't want to have to worry about shipping much back home. Friendly service and great prices.
