The issue was straightforward and resolvable in a single day. After eleven days of vague and questionable excuses, I finally got my car back. I don't know if Tune Tech's policy is to "just get them in" and then manage as best they can, but it would explain the overpromising and underdelivering I experienced. I hope their scheduling and policies don't reflect their technical abilities. I hope they fixed my car correctly. I wish I didn't have that doubt. Time will tell. I tried explaining what I needed and not being a mechanic I'm sure I said some things in the wrong way or the wrong order but if you work there and your answering the phone you should not be rude and condescending when someone calls for help. All I can say is wow, that person has an authority issue if that's how she's treating people who call there asking for help. I called yesterday right before close and they said they could fit between a couple jobs this morning. Dropped it off and a couple hours later got a call that one of the plugs was causing the problem, they indicated they could have all new plugs and wires in by 2. They called just after 1 saying it was done. Running great now and no one had to tear into the differentials or four wheel drive!!

I got quotes for it from about 11 different mechanics. I went with 5 MILE AUTO CENTER because of the communication and the transparency of what was included and how much each item would cost. The work was done in the promised timeframe and they kept me informed on the progress and answered questions every time I had them. Then when I came in after done work and made my final payment I was informed that not everything they quoted was needed and they were able to do the work for less than what they thought and agreed on. THEY WERE TOTALLY HONEST AND ACTUALLY CHARGED ME OVER $500.- LESS !!!! I could not believe it! I have not met anyone like that!! Then later on after about 2 weeks, the fan was still much louder than I was used to (turned out my old fan clutch was actually broken and that is why it was so quiet) he replaced it and put in a new one, all under warranty, did not charge me a dime! In addition they topped off my transmission fluid which was low, for no charge at all. My experience with 5 MILE AUTOMOTIVE CENTER could not have been more pleasant! A huge shout out to the 5 MAC and everyone who works there, I d recommend them for any work you need done on your car! They are HONEST, CARING and TRUSTWORTHY, and of course, my truck runs like a champ now!! Will take all my vehicles there if I ever need anything.

He said the bushings needed to be replaced in 6 months so I made an appointment. He's watching for a possible oil leak. I paid $175 today. The car is safe to drive. He has my business for life.
