I will never use Southgate Mobile Klinic again. I had the screen on my iPad replaced. Within 12 hours, overnight, the screen was cracked without me even using it. On the back of the receipt it clearly states that parts are guaranteed for 90 days from the date of repair. No brainer, right? When I went back the next day, I was told that the screen was fine when it left the store and therefore this was my fault and that they would not honour the warranty. From my perspective, considering the circumstances, this was either defective workmanship or defective parts. Either way, given the stated warranty on the receipt, this should have been fixed by the store. I lodged a complaint with the mobile klinic head office. A week later the manager from Southgate called me and reiterated that this was not their fault. So, even their corporate office does understand customer service and honouring warranties. The only reason I used Mobile Klinic was because Telus offered me a 15% discount. I later did some research and discovered this company is owned by Telus. So....I went to Telus customer service and explained that I was taking my TV, internet and mobile phones to one of their competitors if this wasn't resolved. Within 24 hours I received an apology and 100% rebate from Telus. At least they understand what customer service means. So whoever reads this review, there are alternatives to Mobile Klinic...save yourself some hassle. Sent from my iPad read more

Disappointing "service" and a cold reception. Never felt so unwelcome in my life. Very poor customer service. Just a rude experience and will not be back. Ultimately I reversed my idea of getting anything repaired by this firm and took my business elsewhere. Unfortunately I would not recommend the company to anyone who is looking for experienced and kind service. Truly a disappointing experience all around. Would give 0 stars if able. Time to send staff to a qualifies customer service tune up course. I think it's fair to say that this company, if it hired the right people, could really succeed. I took my phone in to get the screen replaced.. first thing I recommend... Get a phone case to protect it or you'll pay a lot for fixing it $282 is what it cost me . One thing I can tell you .. service was quick. I brought it in as soon as they were open. An hour later .. done . Great service and my screen looks like when I first got it . I went to the store to get my Samsung phone battery replaced. The lady working the store wanted to tell me something about phone batteries and when I told her I was hard of hearing she copped and attitude. I am functionally deaf... I was told it would take a couple hours... I was there at 10:30AM and was instructed to come back at 2:00PM... I assumed that the "Extra" time added was a cushion to make sure it was completed when I came back. I came back at ~1:50PM and I was told my phone was not done. I waited in the hallway of the Mall until ~3:00PM... She could see me waiting... we made eye contact more than a couple time... She finally came out at ~3 to tell me that my phone was ready. I had a feeling that my phone was ready for some time and I was made wait because of my awkward conversation in the morning. I don't know if the work done or the parts used were good because the service was terrible. Don't go here if you have a disability!!! read more

Southgate Mobile Klinik was a total waste of my time. I phoned and asked how long it would take to replace my iphone 6 battery.i was told to bring it in now and it would take no longer than 1 hour.i went and stood there fo abount 10 minutes before i was even addressed.I told the guy that i had phoned 15 minutes ago and told to bring it right in for a battery. He told me it would be about a 3HOUR wait.??? I asked him why 3 hours after just being told one half to one hour? At that point he started getting rather Rude to me so i left and went a few doors down to the Apple Store and had my battery replaced within the hour. If you are thinking of going to the Mobile Klinik in Southgate Center in Edmonton i would suggest you would be better suited to look elsewhere....Not sure why Telus allows them to advertize on their site and seems to promote them ????? read more

I visited the repair store in Sherwood Park a few weeks ago. They were not able to identify the problem at all. Did not have the ability to get past the Samsung screen. Instead I googled Just In Case repairs. Awesome service and repaired my phone and transferred data and photos with OFix Original Cellphone fix at T & T northend. read more

This place was no help at all. I went in with a bright star claim through rogers insurance. My home button had stopped shortly after I made the claim so after driving 2 hours into the city I couldn't get anything done. I had called in to this mobilfix company the day before coming to get my phone fixed and told them my home button had stopped working after I made the claim. I even said I would be driving 2 hours to get here and the lady I spoke to on the phone said to bring it in and they would see what they could do. She mentioned that on the iPhone 7's the home button sometimes stops working after a screen break. They gave no help in how to go about getting my problem solved, I am now stuck on hold with my phone insurance attempting to get a new phone. It was a big hassle to get here and it got worse by being given no assistance. I would recommend to avoid this repair shop. read more

Do not go to the store in Southgate Mall - TERRIBLE!!! I brought my brand new Samsung S7 there to purchase a screen protector. When I was in the store the man installed the screen protector for me and it wouldn't adhere to the edges of the phone. The guy said to give it few days to "settle" and if it doesn't settle to come in and he would fix it if he could if not I would receive a refund. I went there on Monday and there was a woman working in the store. I explained the same story to her as I just did to you and she said "no refund" but she will order in "the right" screen protector from the warehouse and she will call me in couple days... Firstly...the "right" screen protector???? Obviously they sold (and installed) the wrong one on my $1000 phone without saying anything!!!! They loved taking my money that's for sure!!! 2nd - if you know its the wrong one then refund my money so I can go get the right one..wth?!?!?! Anyways...I give her my phone number, she says she's going to call me within 2 days when the "right" screen protector comes in from the warehouse (I should have realized when she kept saying "the right one" that I was being scammed from the get go) Now here we are Friday - no phone call, so I call the store and a man answers. I ask about the screen protector and if "the right" one is in and he says "oh yes, its here, I have the right one for your phone". I ask him "are you sure its the right one?" he responds to me with "oh yes I'm pretty sure"...pretty sure??? so possibly not the right one again...I then say to him "this will be the third time I come to your store to get this right, if this time it is not the right one or doesn't "settle' on my phone I will get refund like you said right?" and he has the nerve to say to me "we'll see about that and discuss it when you come in"...We'll see about that?? Discuss what?? You didn't have the right product for my phone but still sold me the wrong one and installed it on my phone - full knowing it wasn't the right one, you took my money initially without any hesitation, the woman who works there was the rudest person I have encountered in a very long time and now you are hesitant to give me my money back - when the error was on your end!?!?!?! I'm going there tomorrow for the last time to try and rectify this - but I am sure it will not be rectified or worth the drive (I will update my review tomorrow after my interaction with this store). Please don't go there! The store is a scam/scamming people....how could they Intentionally sell me the wrong product and then give me issue about refunding my money???? Keep your money and give your business to a store that will sell you what you ask for and not give you issues when you want to return the wrong product they sold you!! Buyer beware!!
