Just picked up a bench framework designed by my interior design daughter and myself. In addition, he added leg caps with internal nuts without charge when I mentioned that leg adjustments might be needed for an uneven surface. (The thin metal caps I had specified would not have been strong enough with just couple of threads.) He beat 2 other estimates - $425 instead of 500 and 1000. Now this might sound high to some but this was a complex design with 5 different metal stock types and lots of precise right angles and joints. (See picture.) Now it is our turn to add the padded seats and rustic wooden drawers.
