No hello. How are you. I asked to see inside of van- outside was not marked. Inside did NOT make a good impression. Dog clippings all over floor- need to clean in between clients-- not at end of day as Natalie stated. I cancelled- pictures were fantastic- maybe one of us was having a bad day. On Tuesday Jan. 28th, 12:10pm I had an appointment to get hair shaved, nails trimmed and washed. For some reason Heidi was SO scared she ran and hid FROM ME! Begging me not to bring her to the truck. Obviously I'm not thinking it's because of the groomer, Minks, but because Heidi hates being shaved. After this... I'm not so sure anymore. At the end Heidi came out very happy and so were we, she looked great, but then she said she shaved Heidis right eye "to get the stain off". One, I was never asked to give her the consent to bring an electric shaver OVER my dogs eye. Two, that "stain" will forever be there because what is wrong with her eyelashes which irritates and ALREADY hurts her eye to begin with. My poor baby didn't need the extra pain. After speaking to professional groomers, after the incident they replied with No that it is NOT common practice to shave OVER the eye because that is a painful and sensitive place when touched. (Also said Never go back and get your money back). We also just contacted the Vet where they also explained that Heidi needs to be seen right away because her eye, it is so irritated from ALL the burns and cuts from the shaver. She now needs medication for pain and treatment for the wounds. ): My dog is one of the SWEETEST dogs you'll ever meet. If she can do this to MY baby what else is she doing to other dogs.. I'm not sure where Minka learned to do business but canceling, forgetting appointments, always being late and unprepared is mind blowing. She's mean to her grooming gals (I've heard her on the phone with them) and she was never consistent with my dogs cut. I'd show her a picture and say I wanted it like this one time it was done and I'd get it just shaved down to the skin! Why? The dog wasn't matted or anything. She's just rushing and wants to go to the next client. I stopped booking with her once I asked her about how she forgot my appointment and she told me she "wasn't my therapist" HUH. What, excuse me. I had my dogs groomed with Minka this past Friday. While you read this review, keep in mind, my request has ALWAYS been "short and clean". Simple, no brainer... This isn't my first or even second time using her, I am truly besides myself with this grooming session and am wondering what lead to this extremely poor grooming ... I simply stated that I was not pleased with the cut, and kindly requested for a redo "touch up" . Her Professional response was to me was "Go find another groomer!" since I am so darn difficult..Seriously? I personally find this sort of reply extremely insulting as a client and find her personality unpredictable AT BEST! Very "shifty" and often antisocial. Simply put, I requested "short and clean please" adding that "No poodle cut will be necessary" How difficult is this request? Should I have added a few more "please" into my requests, I have no idea.. I have uploaded pictures of my dogs most recent grooming session ( a correctable disaster, I'd say ). Minka mentioned I should have requested for "summer cut", keep in mind I always say "short and clean" ALWAYS, regardless of the season. When we first started using Minka, she was great. She was recommended to us by a friend. Then when we were talking her up with another friend of ours, they said "Be careful. We used to use her. She's a nutcase" (their words not mine and I cleaned it up a LOT). We gave her the benefit of the doubt but one day the oldest, and our Pack Leader started shaking as we walked him to her van. Hmmm... After our friends' comment, this was now our second inkling that there might be a problem. BTW we had 3 dogs when we started using her. They are beautiful long hair dogs. About 2 months ago, we lost our oldest at 15 y.o. and about a week or two after that I caught Covid. I sent her emails to reschedule due to these unforeseen events then she had the audacity to tell me I was High Maintenance and sent too many emails. For the record (I went back and looked) there were a total of 6 emails I sent her. SIX!! For the first appt that she missed, she didn't respond at all. We didn't know where she was so I reached out to her. A few days later she texted me to say that she was on a cruise in Europe (her pix are on her FB site). Consider that I religiously kept her informed of our appts. LOL...I had to cause she sure wasn't doing it. When Minka missed an appt. and I asked why she said, "cause I'm in Europe". WTH? I sent her schedule spreadsheets. Why would she NOT call me if she was going to be away? Why? Because IMHO she just doesn't care. Then 2 weeks after we lost our oldest, I caught Covid (BTW very scary. Do NOT get it). So, I texted Minka that we should probably reschedule. I'm Semi-retired and our dogs are my EVERYTHING. And, for the record, she got to be SO BAD at appt keeping that I had to generate a spreadsheet and email it to her. She never, ONCE, in the year we'd used her, contacted me to confirm an appt. She has a brown paper book for appts. Now consider that I'm an IT specialist and even told her one day "If you'd ever like me to show you how to use a PC for your appts, I'd be happy to help N/C." She had no desire and didn't trust computers. I'd be willing to guess that all other groomers use a computer. But not her. Then, last week, our youngest (and the most loving dog I have ever owned) started showing signs of damage to her coat...AGAIN. This was the 3rd time and, of course, this would mean our 3rd trip to the Vet and our 3rd change in food. We had NO IDEA of what was going on and started using CBD and anything and everything we could to try to figure out what she was doing. Then our male pack leader started showing fear and shaking when he saw her van. So now I have 2 of our dogs that are freakin' out about her. Honestly...I'm mad at myself for not noticing this earlier. Once Minka shaved the area under her tail too close. Off to the Vet. Another time she shaved her tummy too close. Off to the Vet. Then just last week, I noticed her armpit area was very red, inflamed, and she was very uncomfortable. Again, off to the vet. Are you seeing a pattern here? Then, last week, when she was again grooming our girl (Daddys girl) she asked my wife to come out to the van and showed her a matt under the arm of my girl. Then? She started yelling my sweet little girl, right in front of my wife to "SIT STILL". A day later, I noticed that the same area was inflamed and red and our dog was licking it profusely. So... off to the vet...AGAIN. We changed food and meds, and Vet bills were adding up. But when I saw that area and my wife told me about Minka yelling at our dog (BTW it was now obvious that Minka was yanking the matts out). Minka told us there would be an extra charge for de-matting and each time she added it, we paid it. Hey, we have long hair dogs, so it's understood that matts happen. Then, yesterday, she texted my wife and said "I can't keep up with all of your husbands' emails, changes, and requests. He is very high maintenance. I am taking you off my Calendar next week. Please find another groomer". I told her "Hey, here's an idea...I'll put a leash on you, tie it to the shower, and yank your arm hair out with a comb to see how you like it"! We had just lost a pack member and I caught Covid shortly thereafter. Was I NOT supposed to let her know? Enough was enough. We never got invoices from her, she never called to verify appts, and I finally realized that all this money we spent on the extras like vets, meds, and food changes, were being caused by IMHO hair being yanked out by Minka. So just now I read some of the other reviews. One called her "Rude and Unprofessional" (I agree) and another one that said, "She is disgustingly rude" (I also agree). The van she'd bring was always covered in Dog Hair and I mean clumps and clumps of it. I just wish I'd read the other reviews sooner!! I blame myself and will never be able to make it up to our pack. So I decided to go through mobile pet parlour even after looking at the yelp reviews because I seen a few husky's were getting done here and they looked great. So I decided to give Minka a call to schedule an appointment. She mentioned it would be 90 dollars for my dog and that Natalie will be coming out on Wednesday at 10:30. So Wednesday comes and at this point it's 10:30 already but I figured I'd give her some time to get over here because things tend to happen. But at this point it's 11:02 already so I let Minka know and then I get a call from Natalie after. stating "we had an appointment today?" As if she had no idea. At this point I should've cancelled but my dog needed the wash and groom. She gets here around 11:20 a whole hour late! So we begin discussing my dog and what needs to be worked on. I then mention he doesn't like his paws touched much and he's a bit dramatic as most husky's are. And she lets me know if he needs a muzzle she can use it to get him groomed. Which this business is a none muzzle business. So they don't provide a muzzle. So maybe 10 mins go by and she lets me know my dog is growling so she said she can wash him while we get a muzzle for my dog. So my mom leaves work to go buy my dog a muzzle. Mind you the website states "difficult dogs and cats, no problem !" But clearly there was a problem. Natalie was wrong by continuing to groom my dog after getting the muzzle. A little later she comes out with my dog and I will give her props his legs, back, butt, ears and tail looked great but the whole time she did the groom she didn't take his harness off so from the middle of his back to front of his face he was still fluffy. But I didn't notice till after I took his harness off. At this point it's time to pay and she mentions it will be 110 ! The point of me contacting Minka was to get a set price with TAX because that was her excuse on the phone after that the reason it was 110 was because tax. I think Natalie took is upon herself to include her tip which I didn't tip on top of the 110. Don't get me wrong I would have no problem paying the 110 if Minka mentioned that from the beginning but after getting a set price of 90 and my groomer being an hour late she shouldn't have excepted more then 90. Also my dog is a FUCKING husky he has undercoat that was wet and made him smell. But she threw a bandanna on his ass and called it a day. This was the most expensive groom I've got for my dog. I usually pay 85 to get his fully shaved down. Now I'm not one of these white woman who will take shit or get offended being called a "Karen" like get a new joke... because right now you're business is looking like a joke. learn how to run a proper business and be professional. You talking that way to a costumer is very embarrassing. As soon as my mom contacted you, you were already in defense. Grow up and take some accountability for yourself, your business and your staff. Yes a costumer might not always be right but this is your business you're running and it's always a reflection of you at the end of the day. And if this was you in my situation I'm sure you would be a so called "Karen" as well. Considering the way you talk to costumers. Definitely wouldn't come back. Minkas daughter was very nice when she did a wash and fluff for our pup a couple months ago. But Minka came to do this groom yesterday and was extremely unprofessional and disgustingly rude. I was kind and tried to explain that this was my puppies first haircut and I had a picture to show her. She told me no, she wouldn't look at it. She proceeded to get very upset when I tried to just explain that I was nervous about the first haircut. She went on about how she's a professional and been doing this for 30 years. I totally get that, and she has pride, but as a business owner, service provider, she should be accommodating to what the PAYING CUSTOMER is asking for. I do not go to a barber and not tell them what I want or allow them to do whatever it is they want to my hair, why should I have to allow that for my puppy? Well after the conversation went on for about two minutes, I apologized if I had offended her, which she said I had, but I still wanted her to look at what I wanted. She wouldn't and suggested maybe I should find another groomer so I took my pup back. I was really excited to find a mobile groomer for my new kittens. I have a couple of businesses I get really busy and I feel that our kittens need a consistent professional groom once a month. Our dogs groomer does not work with cats. When I made the appointment ahead of time, which was 2 weeks ahead of time. I told the groomer that I would be out of town during the time and day she booked me for two kittens. She said no worries just make sure someone's there of age 18 or older and then she asked if she could plug in her mobile electrical cord which I agreed. She didn't tell me anything about policy. So today is the day of the appointment I'm out of town in my fitness retreat which is out of state. She asked me to make sure I have a cat carrier, I said I don't know let me get back to you and confirm. Which meant I needed to call my kids to see if they can take the cat carrier from the garage and bring it to the mobile van when she arrives. I have 2, I just didn't know if the kids knew where it was. But If I had known ahead of time I would've had it all left out for them to grab easily with directions on her policy requirements, being I would be out of town. Also she claimed that other groomers have policies asking for shot records, if she needed those too they are in my personal file cabinet which my adult kids would not know where that's at. After I gave her my opinion that for new customers in the future, you should tell them what your policy is ahead of time especially if they're gonna be out of town like I am. Instead of taking the good criticism and owning it, she told me to find myself another groomer??? and canceled our appointment. I told her that was really rude! And she wrote me back and told me I was rude? I said l I was not rude or mad Are you accusing me of being rude because I gave you criticism? She said yes you told me how to run my business?? She also told me that it was policy but she didn't tell me that when I make my appointment, none of it. That's why I criticized her. She also said all groomers normally ask for shot records and a cat carrier so they don't lose the cats. I'm 55 years old, I had cats in the past they had a mobile groomer and they had their own cat carrier and let me know the requirements before hand to prepare for the appointment. Some ask for shots some do not, regardless this misfortune happened because she neglected to tell me her policy before I left town. And it still could've worked out because my kids would've found one for her. But she got mad and told me to find another groomer! I consider this very bad customer service experience, especially because I could've had somebody else work on my cat and now I'm out of an appointment and it's hard to get an appointment the day of or the same week of. His jaw is very unstable and because he drools a lot and eats puréed food he was so matted and a complete mess. Minka was willing to take on the challenge and give me the advice to sedate her so that she wasn't so scared. Not only did she look great, she wasn't timid the rest of the day. Unfortunately I had a very bad experience today with this business and just needed to share, so the owner, Mikka, understands that you cannot treat potential customers like that. This service was highly referred to me by a neighbor who has used them for years and since our previous groomers, Surf City Dawg Spa decided to retire and close down, I needed a new groomer. The appointment was scheduled for today, July 14, 2022 almost 2 weeks ago and we were eagerly anticipating a nice wash for my lab and Australian Shepard as it has been several weeks since their last grooming. I even texted Mikka yesterday to see if there was anyway to change our 11am appointment to possibly 10:45 since I had to start getting ready for work at 11. She responded ok, 10:30 and I said sure that would work. I rushed back from my walk with the dogs this morning to be here at 10:30 and she was not here. I waited outside until about 10:45 when I texted her to give her my address again in case she had misplaced it. No response. 10:50am, I asked if she was still coming and no response. I tried calling her and it went to voicemail and I couldn't even leave a message since her voicemail was full which I kind of thought strange for a business. I texted again at 11am to say I am getting in show and will come out if she was there as soon as I was done. Still no response. I then called at 11:11 and she answered and I asked if she was still coming today. She asked what time my appointment was and I said 10:30 and she responded that there was no way and I said yes, please read your text, we confirmed that yesterday. She then started explaining how her helper had not come to work today and she was grooming a standard poodle and had her helper been in, she would have been at my house grooming my dogs. I told her that I completely understand that things happen, but I would have liked to have had at least a text or call saying she was running late. She then said she had a million things to do and I should find someone else and she HUNG UP on me! I was flabbergasted. Really? And no apology, nothing. I called Minka and asked her specifically if she had experience with Siberian Huskies. She said she did have a lot of experience. I explained ours can be a handful and isn't easy to deal with since he's really hyper. I wanted to be very clear before she agreed to do this. But she insisted she could handle him. Huge LIE! just to get our business! I told her over the phone not to shave his top coat because husky hair doesn't grow back the same. When she arrived, we told her again not to shave the top. And she agreed she wouldn't. LIE! She shaved him and his hair is in patches and looks horrible!! Looks like a child shaved him! It gets worse! When we were in the house, she was downstairs grooming him. She didn't know all our windows were open. We heard her say "SHUT UP" to our dog! Omg! Mobile Pet Parlour is the most incompetent and rudest business we have ever encountered! We made it very clear what we expected from the grooming appointment. What we received wasn't even close to our expectations. They made our adorable fluffy round-faced puppy look like an old haggard dog! And to make this situation even worse, the owner chastised us stating that they cut a dog's hair for their health, not for their looks...what?! When I attempted to retort, the owner then called my wife a crazy b***h for complaining. We have been dog owners and self-employed business owners our entire adult lives and literally have had dozens of different groomers over the years. Minka is so sweet, caring, and not to mention very knowledgeable about dogs. Benny (my dog) has always been so scared of groomers but Minka made him feel so comfortable he was coming back to her even after he was groomed! She does a great job cleaning and cutting him. Wish there was a zero rating. Natalie was the groomer for our young pup. She has zero experience handling young pups. She started to cut, did one shave and informed us she didn't want to finish. And she still charged us $75. Minka and Natalie were both so unprofessional the way they handled the situation, refused a refund, butchered my pups face and didn't even finish or try to make it look okay. My poor pup was tragically emotionally scarred from this experience and went ballistic when we took her to another groomer. Stay away from this groomer and this business. From the owner to the groomer, they were rude, unprofessional, disorganized and most importantly had no idea what they were doing!!! The groomer we ended up bringing our pup had no issues with our pup or fixing their mess. Makes me wonder what really happened to our pup while in Natalie's custody. read more

I had an appointment scheduled this morning at 9:00am. By 9:08 Minka had not arrived, so I sent her a text asking if we were still on. She informed me that she had visitors and wouldn't make it. She's been late in the past, and posts negative comments about customers on Facebook, so I was already considering looking for a new groomer. I declined her offer to have my dogs groomed the following day and she replied with, "Ok My family is more important to me than your business and shitty attitude." Minka has made false claims against me so I feel I have no choice but to post the text exchange for all to see. I wish I had disengaged from the conversation sooner, but I held out hope we could end things in a civil manner. read more

Natalie is scheduled to see my dogs. Our schedule was 12:30. Nothing heard from her till I called. She called after and came past 2:00 pm. She didn't do my Lab because she got scared.
