The motorized scooter has been a game changer the past 2 years. The scooter, once ordered, is waiting in the lobby of the hotel when we arrive and gets picked up when we are ready to leave. I called at 7:30 in the morning and the scooter was delivered at 9am, same day. They brought the scooter directly to our building at the Wyndham resort, and gave us a very detailed yet concise demonstration of all aspects of using and caring for the scooter. The scooter was a sleek red, if style matters to you (it made it all the more jazzy fun lol). It was a newer model with a travel basket and a huge battery, at an affordable rental rate (plus a senior discount). The battery was so big, its level never went below "green/full" (it's sized to last a whole day climbing the hills at Busch Gardens, which we didn't do) so our day trips were nothing to it. The style of the scooter was perfect for loading into our small SUV (Nissan Rogue). It dismantles into three parts - the seat, the battery, and a foldable base. Pick up was easy too - we could have dropped the scooter at the Wyndham reception area, but the Williamsburg Mobility team returned to our building the day of pick up and loaded it into their van. Very kind people, locally owned. Highly recommend. Pro tip - the heaviest part of the scooter is the battery, so the beefy battery = 35 pound weight. If that's too heavy for you, talk with them about options. Personally we loved knowing we had plenty of juice for the days adventures.
