From MI staying in Williamsburg for a limited time and had to get a 2" hitch installed on my Nautilus. Portsmouth was the only shop in the region that could get it done not just in 10 days, but the next day. They had the parts on site. They installed the hitch and a 7-way electric plug with no problems whatsoever. All the other dealers needed 2-3 weeks to get the parts! This shop is FABULOUS, they have a large inventory of Truck and RV parts and accessories. Their waiting room is generous in size and has a TV and WIFI. The staff is invested in your success and care about you. Working with them was a wonderful experience. They even give you a cash discount, if you want to save 3%. I'm keeping them in my rolodex. BTW, when we arrived the store was in a little disarray. They had adopted a cat with a broken back and the cat had some how gotten loose and was hiding in a wall - and they had been taking pieces of the store apart to save the cat. I was repairing a trailer for my Customer He suggested That I go to Portsmouth trailer for parts. They sold me one brake assembly for a 7000 lb. Axle for $368.00 Took it to my customer.He found the same assembly on the internet for $77.00 dollars Same part Portsmouth trailer parts out of this world, Thankfully, they gave me my money back. If anybody tells you to go somewhere else, they don't know what they're talking about!! I was a purchaser in the CG for a while stationed in Portsmouth & boy do we have trailer & parts needs! Portsmouth Trailer Supply has not only been a great asset to the community & industry, but to the nation by supporting local Law Enforcement & Military needs. I'm writing this while sitting in their nicely adorned waiting room that has vending machines, comfy leather chairs, a tv & all of their accolades from charitable donations. Nothing but respect to all the women who work here. I believe it's a woman owned small business, too...thriving!! So my experience was relatively routine until I brought in a part for installation that I didn't buy from them. There was a momentary communication gap, but we got thru it & they understood my quote needed to be altered. $25 more per hour for installation of non-shop purchased items, totally fair. Well once the clerk told the manager that I was the one that brought it to their attention that I needed to pay more, they waived it!! This company should be highlighted in business magazines. It's old school in that everyone (at least that I encountered) were friendly, extremely knowledgable and seemed genuinely concern about the customer. They have been there for years and it's obviously an "industrial" type business but, they facilities are kept clean and neat, including the shop! PTS is 30 miles from my house but I wouldn't hesitate for a minute to go there if I have another need, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them either! This was an amazing experience! We had a tow hitch installed on our highlander to flat tow behind our fleetwood RV. Well from the beginning all the service people were so nice, understanding and helpful! They found a bar compatible with the existing hitch on the bus! When we arrived I was blown away with how nice everyone was and how totally squared away the whole place is! Chesley met us at the shop bay door, and immediately began assessing the situation! He had the work order on a stand so he could see all our info. The shop was totally squared away! Everything in its place!!!! Wow. Chelsey really knew his stuff! When we went to pick it up he saw a bolt that was a bit crooked causing a slight malalignment and immediately said he had to fix it! Excellent service!!!!
