    I contacted Southern Stairlifts about installing a lift in our home and it was a fantastic…read moreexperience throughout the entire process. The kind gentleman who worked with us, Richard (he goes by Dick), made the entire procedure painless. I received a call back to the message I'd left enquiring about a stairlift and he came out the very next day, answered all of my questions and gave me the estimate. I'd already researched pricing and the estimate was within what I expected so we wrote up the contract and he went ahead and ordered the lift and its parts. This was all during the week that held New Year's Eve and Day so I expected installation to possibly be delayed because of this, but he called me a day EARLIER than I'd expected to tell me everything was ready to go! On the day of the lift's setup, Dick and his installation partner, Dan, arrived right on time. It literally took less than 90 minutes for the stairlift to be installed and working. The stairlift is easy to operate, moves without any jerking or hesitation once it's engaged, and is allowing my mother to remain in the home she loves now that she has mobility issues. The communication from Dick and Southern Stairlifts is excellent. He had the answers to all of my questions both pre-and post-installation and I am happy to recommend them to anyone.

    ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE COMPANY!!…read more Every individual that keeps them in business is disabled or hani cap in some way. This company belittles and ignores the disabled. Thankfully Iam a family member, I have my dad whom is in an assisted living with a prosthesis, and no vocal cords. After waiting over 2 months for the initial repair to be fixed, The first tech caused a bigger issue an left I had to wait 30 days to get another tech out, which happened to be this company. GUESS WHAT! They didnt call to schedule to appointment until 2:30pm the same day for a 3pm-5pm window, of course we said yes come! By 4:30pm my father is texting me saying the scooter wont drive please call tech to return, now we have an even bigger issue. I called right away! I couldn't get anyone to answer, I called over 20x in 30 min from 4:45pm-5:15pm none stop. My calls were ignored , each called having a different ring length. The website says open until 7pm! and IM CALLING DURING THE REPAIR WIDOW BLOCK!!! What if i were the disabled individual, is this how you treat your customers the reason you have business! Now hes back to being unable to get around, back to waiting who knows who long! THE REPAIR TECHS ARE UNETHICAL IN EVERY WAY! HORRIBLE WHEN WORKING FOR A SCOOTER REPAIR COMPANY! YOU DONT BELITTLE THE HELPLESS! This this is has been 4-5 long month an honestly looks like insurance fraud! this company has billed my fathers insurance for thousands and thousands of dollars when all there doing is making is life more complicated and mine because im the one having to continue this issue, tech after tech. its currently 6:15pm same evening and still no return phone call!!! why? ps. the gentleman even posted below begging for someone to contact him in regards to his scooter this company needs to be out of business! horrible people working at star mobility!!!

Turns out there were 2 electronic parts that needed to be replaced and one had to be ordered and took over a week to get to him. He got the repair completed and tested the scooter for reliability many times before he brought it back to me. He also had a loaner for me to use while he had mine. I will certainly use Star again if I need more repairs. I highly recommend Star to any who need mobility services.

    IT has taken 8 months to get my chair fixed. That is absolutely ridiculous. To have to wait this…read morelong. My chair got messed up in 2024 and I am talking Bad and it took them 3 months to get it all back together and running. I was fine with that. But this time the chair broke on the 3rd of June 2025 I called them and they had a online Diagnostic person (3rd party company) they screwed up on their part said it was 1 thing and it turned out to be something else. I just picked up the chair today .I honestly don't know what has happened but they are Dieing Fast. I Realize that the company who makes the chair is hard to deal with. But 8 months is totally un called for. Something needs to be done. If this is how they treat their customers they won't be in business much longer.

I had been looking at several scooters and after gathering information regarding each scooter I was able to narrow it down to one scooter that fit my needs. Peter set me up with an appointment to test drive the scooter and go over the options and accessories. They gave me a printout and did not pressure me, said I could take it home and review the information but I had done my research and knew what I wanted. There was no pressure and I felt that they were respectful, knowledgeable, informative and gave me individualized service. It may take 2-3 months to get my scooter (as per the manufacturer) but I felt that I was treated well and I would highly recommend to anyone that needs a mobility device to come here. The staff here genuinely care about their clients, treat you with respect and give good service, fulfilling the needs of their clients. I am looking forward to getting my scooter soon.
