On my hunt to find the perfect facial, I thought I would try MOD. It's a new type of concept and I'm not sure it's for me. There were no separate rooms, only beds divided by dividers that you could see through. They did put headphones on you but I find it a little disruptive. My tech was very sweet and did a decent job. They gave me really good first time pricing, but again they are a member type of place. After that the pricing was too pricey in my opinion plus a little too far to drive from my house. I would rather a spa like atmosphere with private rooms. I went back again a couple weeks later and got the lash tint and lift. Again the tech was extremely sweet and very thorough. I'm not sure it was worth the $130. It was something fun to try out but I'm not sure I will do it again The result was OK, not mine blowing and I definitely still have to wear mascara. All in all its kind of cool and trendy place but I'm not sure it's worth the price. read more

I tired this concept out whileI was visiting Texas. The layout is much different than your normal facial spa. Here the tables segmented off like stations at a hair salon. There are curtains on each side of the table like a hospital so you get a little privacy but if someone walks by your feet they can easily stand there and watch. For music, they have you wear bulky headphones, which in my opinion hinders their facial massages a bit. Every now and then they would hit the headphones or bump into them. I was nervous going into my first facial but I was treated with such high respect and found myself almost falling asleep because I was so relaxed! I got a microdermabrasion for the first time and from one visit I noticed my skin was brighter and more smooth. ^_^ I recommend trying them out. I was in desperate need of a facial and decided to try this place based off of good reviews. I ended up booking with Lilli. As I arrived, there were about 3 other people waiting in the lobby and no one was at the front to help. Eventually someone came over and I was able to fill out my paperwork and check in. The place is a lot smaller than I thought and there isn't much room designated to each area. I found the headphones to be kinda bulky and distracting. The facial overall was just OK- nothing special IMO. At the end of my service, lilli went over the products used which is fine. She brought a number of products to the front for me to buy (which I told her I probably wouldn't since I have suuuuuper sensitive skin and wanted to see how my face reacted after the facial) and I stopped into the bathroom before checking out. I guess Lilli had thought I had left, because as I approached the front I heard her ask the front if I had bought any product, to which she replied no, and I walked into a huge eye roll and snide remark. Super unprofessional, as I work in a salon and have never witnessed anything like that, especially in front of a customer! I gave two stars because overall facial was OK and the facility was clean. Wanted to love this place- but won't be returning after the attitude I received at the end. :( read more

Each time I go back to mod facial bar it is a great experience. I have used several of the estheticians and each one of them have been great in their own way. Some are more talkative, some are less talkative. Some will explain as they go so you know what's going on and some don't. The nice thing is you can tailor the situation to exactly what you want! If you want it quiet, they will be quiet. If you want to learn and be educated they are happy to do that also. I don't think you can go wrong with booking a facial here. Lynae was spectacular! As far as an esthetician goes she was welcoming, relaxing and gives a great massage. She gave recommendations and also was not pushy about products or services. It's an open concept so as long as your not looking for a super private experience, this takes care of your skin needs and a bunch of relaxation. Let me just say this was probably one of the best facials I've ever had! This place was recommended by a friend and I'm so glad I gave it a shot. I was a little nervous at first about the open concept-I didn't want a bunch of people coming in and out and all the noise ruining my zen. She apologize and let me know when I could return the products at my convenience during the week.
