Worse manicure ever! I normally go somewhere else but this is close to where I live and I didn't have time to drive the 20 minutes so I just stopped in here. Big mistake. The place was empty and an older man led me to a station. I told him that I just needed a basic manicure and NOT TO TRIM MY CUTICLES but just to push them back. He pushed so hard AND he cut them. I didn't realize how bad it was until I got up and saw the blood. One finger bled all day and today, 5 out of 10 nails feel or look terrible. I just hope that I don't get an infection. I came in for a Pedicure, and left here feeling like a new man. After many months of running, my feet needed a little care, love and attention. It wasn't super packed, and during covid they are taking extra precautions which is great. Seats have massagers with various settings. Very relaxing as my feet soaked in some warm water. Cindy was my tech. She was Gentle and did a great job shaving off dead skin and working with my nubs I call nails. I've been coming here for almost 4 years. The service has severely gone downhill... new people and apparently new ways of doing acrylics now!! Let me explain: Tim used to do my nails but sadly he left, so today I went in for a full set of acrylics with regular polish and was given Tony as my technician. He was quiet, which I don't mind, but he was clearly rushing my nails (which in total took 40 mins). He didn't do my cuticles and didn't apply oil or cream. After I chose my polish, I told him specifically I wanted regular polish, not gel. He switched his bottle and proceeded to apply the polish on my unwashed hands!! I asked him as he was switching the bottles if I should go wash my hands (as I always do), and he told me no. I complained to the manager David, who defensively told me Tony thought I wanted gel, which is not correct. I'm giving one star only because the front desk assistant was very understanding and sweet. I wish I could give less than 1 star. I went for a Pedi and full set of clear acrylic with clear coat. DASSIT! I should have know there's be a problem when 1 customer came in demanding a repair and another complained about the cost when she was finished. When I "was done" they charged me $81. Anybody who understands what I requested can tell I was ripped off. Then when I get to the car I notice two of my nails barely have any acrylic on them. I choose my color and he went to WERK. he offered services that would make my dip last longer. He compared each nail, he took my suggestions well, he made all nails the same. 10/10 DO NOT recommend. Maybe, this nail salon and I just aren't compatible? They had customers constantly in out during my appointment so clearly this establishment is doing something others love. Anyway, on to my experience. One reason I came here because my roommate recommended it. Second, it's only about two minutes from where I recently moved. So why am I disappointed? Basically , all my nails were broken off before it was time for my next appointment. That is just a sheer lack of expertise in my opinion. I can understand one breaking, maybe even two but damn near all? Insane. These were my natural nails as well. Now I have to go through an unnecessary process of growing them out long again smh. I had a bit of a nail emergency. You see, typically I'm a one salon girl, and at that one salon, I typically see the same manicurist. You can say we've become friends of sorts. That's why this emergency hurts. I feel I cheated on my manicurist, but eh, it was an absolute necessity. There I was at the office, doing work, when I realized my nails have either been bitten or broken, sometimes both. The girly girl in me couldn't take it anymore, and so, I started searching everywhere nearby. I know how it is during prime time without an appointment. Not everywhere takes walk-ins, but fortunately this place does. Either way, I had called early in the day to find out. Seems that it depends on the service. I got a basic manicure and pedicure with some waxing. Got there close to 6 PM and left maybe an hour and a half later. Lina was my gal. She did a lovely job with my nails. I have been coming to this salon for 7 years now and it's my absolute favorite. The staff here are all wonderful and they make sure you are happy and satisfied before you leave. My favorite is they do a variety of upgraded pedicures that include hot stone, foot scrubs etc. the first upgrade from basic the deluxe pedicure is only $36 and it's so worth it! Finally I found a good place for a basic mani & pedi in the area. I haven't had much luck. I was getting an oil change around the corner and had two hours to kill so I figured I'd try to get my nails done. I yelped nearby salons and that's when I found Mod, I felt a good vibe as soon as I came in. I walked in on a Sunday, wasn't too full. They were able to assist me within a 10 minute wait. My technician knew what she was doing and gave me a really good manicure and pedicure, she even massaged my feet. I was impressed at the service provided. Pricing is fair, a basic mani and pedi is $35. Not too bad! The salon is clean and I love sitting on their massage pedicure chairs for a relaxing massage. It's tucked back off of the area where US-1 meets federal hwy. great location and easy to get to. My pedicure was amazing. Man who did it spent extra time with my leg/foot massage and it was a long week so I greatly appreciated it. He also has the perfect hands in terms of a pedicure - not too strong but helped get my feet back into top shape! The worst nail experience I've ever had. I asked for an acrylic fill with French design, which I've gotten multiple times before. This was my first time at this location & they came out terribly. As you can see in the pics, my nail is totally visible underneath and the new growth is unflattering. Furthermore, the old acrylic was not buffed well with the new acrylic fill so you can see the line of demarcation between the two. I informed the owner that this is not up to my standards & they told me to come back Friday at 6pm to redo it. I came in at my scheduled time just to be turned away at the door and told that 'it is what it is' and 'there's nothing we can do' extremely rudely. The owner didn't want to discuss the work with me and brushed me aside and walked away. He said the work was fine and as expected. If the pictures attached are 'fine' and what you would expect, by all means book an appointment. If not, and you don't appreciate rude customer service, I highly advise booking elsewhere. read more

I've been coming here for at least 5 years, and I've never had a negative experience. I can recommend David and Michael for dip, and Amy and Debbie for regular or gel. I used to get dip and gel nails here, but because I get eczema on my finger tips I have switched to just a regular polish. None of the aforementioned technicians have ever hurt me or cut me, and they all do an incredible job. They are creative, efficient, thorough, and lovely humans to spend time with, as well. My feet are crazy hard and callused so I appreciate the hard work they do to get them smooth. They take walk ins as well as appointments, and you can bring your own polish if you are so inclined. The space is clean, the massage chairs are wonderful, and I'll never go anywhere else. The salon felt clean, wasn't too packed, and overall made me feel comfortable regarding COVID precautions. I was there at 10AM on a weekday. I came here bc it is highly rated on Yelp. I know times are hard so I don't want to hurt the business... However, if the key service of the salon is poor, I have to be honest. I worked with the woman on staff. I think her name was Cindy. She was very kind and attentive. Unfortunately, her nail filing and painting skills were not good. I asked her for round nails and to keep my shape. Instead she filed them down to half of what they were. My two hands weren't even so I had to ask her to fix them. She then used an electronic file on my dry cuticles and cut two so deep so that they bled. I asked her to stop bc it started to burn. Then she went back to regular tools. I had no line of sight about where the cuticle tools came from. She pulled them out of her drawer discretely. I would have felt better if they came out of an autoclave machine. It took two weeks for my cuticles to calm down. They were raw and had hangnails for days. When my nails were under the UV light, my cuticles were burning. The hot towels she put on my feet (a nice touch) were so hot I had to ask her to stop draping my foot with them and wait. The final paint job (regular on toes, gel on fingers) is clumpy, thick, and not aligned. She was so nice -- I feel bad that the outcome was such a poor experience for me. I think this experience was specific to the nail tech, not the salon. Regulars were coming in throughout my experience there. read more
