Terrible online and in store service. Went in after calling an order in at 4pm for a 6:15 pickup. Got there at 6:15 and saw 2 boxes on a table next to the oven. I asked one of the employees if they were my pizzas and he said no and that it would be a little longer. I waited 15 more minutes and then asked for a refund. The guy I originally asked about the 2 boxes grabbed those 2 boxes and brought them to me and told me these were mine. They didn't offer to reheat them or make new ones. Great pizza joint - love their motto that they do not charge extra for toppings. I love to add a bunch of different veggies/toppings to my pizza, which usually costs an arm and a leg. Also, love that these pizzas are tasty and ready quick! We actually ordered ours online for pick up since we were driving through on a road trip and needed some lunch. Salads to go were awesome as well, again, with as many toppings as you'd like to customize. Will be eating here again! Wish we had one in Charlotte. read more

MOD PIZZA-WILLIS-wrong again. The pizza place where you may custom make your pizza, until you ask them to pretoast your dough! Then they look as though you have 3 heads and must have a huddle before they tell you "This Time but etc" Then they put our dough off almost ten minutes while we watched pizza after pizza after pizza go through. After inquiring they put dough in oven while we walked out. WTF is wrong with people. Is it because we ask for something a bit different. So happy that MOD Pizza has made its way into Frederick MD. Based on my regular business travels I have visited numerous MOD Pizza Locations around the U.S. The first thing that attracted me to MOD Pizza is the philosophy towards its employees and food and when you arrive into the store you can certainly feel that passion. The employees have always been extremely friendly and willing to take their time to explain the products and services to each new costumer and that is a great model. Even thought the Pizza and Salads are good to bring home, nothing beats a fresh create your own pie directly out of the oven. While treating my wife today to the experience, we both agreed that we would be coming back regularly to Frederick MD location with our entire family and make it a regular thing. Extremely fresh products (make sure you try their teas and lemonades... out of this world), great food and over the top wonderful service. Even happier that we no longer need to drive to Columbia to experience a great MOD pizza. Update: Returned with family on Good Friday and all I can say is wow. The team of Matt Young, Pherin Smith, Cori Simmons and Tom Watson were fantastic. Being a family of 7, it is difficult finding good food and service inviting of large families and MOD pizza is ranked up there with some of the best. I have been looking forward to trying mod pizza in Frederick for quite some time now. Took my wife and son there this evening and unfortunately everything from the temperature that was freezing cold in the restaurant, the customer service from the staff was disconnected and they clearly came off like they didn't want to be there, to the overall quality of the pizza as well. Also all of the tables were not cleaned it down properly in the trash it was spilling out along with the dishes. Very gross. I've been to MOD Pizza in Columbia Maryland before and found it delicious! I'm glad something with I'm to replace what left. The pizza is very good, we prefer it over most pizza around. My only gripe is they offer "unlimited" toppings but when you ask for extra of something some of them make it seem like a big deal and are stingy with the toppings. I don't like when someone can order a pizza and get 6 or 7 different toppings but when someone more plain like myself gets only 2 toppings, when I ask for extra they are stingy with "the extra". read more

I like the style of pizza that Mod pizza makes but I was really disappointed with the sad amount of toppings that we're on the pizza. This was my first time eating their food so maybe it was just bad luck this particular time, but when I opened my box of pizza, myself and the people I was with all laughed because it looked so pathetic. The experience this evening was not the usual professional service I usually get at this location. I ordered curbside pickup like I've been doing for the last couple visits and waited outside. No one came out with my order which kept showing as "processing" in the app so I waited another 5 minutes before going into the store. I told the guy hi approached me that I was waiting for my curbside pickup order and he says I need to call upon arrival. I told him that I usually wait and someone brings the order out per their app instructions. His response " I understand that Sir....but..." in a sarcastic way. I said then what's the point in using the curbside pickup option if I need to call when I arrive. I even mentioned that my last couple visits the food was brought out. He says.."really"? I then confirmed yes. He says next time just call the number when you pull up. So I go outside trying to find this number to call and there it is on a flyer attached to the door. As you can see in the pic attached, that flyer isn't entirely readable from a distance. As a result my food was sitting there for a bit getting cold so the quality of both the service and food was below the usual service level. read more

Really cool concept of making your own pizza with what seemed to be good quality ingredients. I chose some zany toppings for my pizza and it ended up being a distasteful mix, but that was my fault. The ceasar salad was of good quality as well. I enjoyed the brick-oven taste to the pizza crust. Employees were very helpful and the restaurant was clean. Pizzas were in and out of the oven quickly. Fast and delicious. The prices are a little high but definitely worth it. The thin and cheesy pizza was cooked quickly to perfection in a wood fire oven. The salads were also very good and fresh. The sodas and other fountain drinks were tasty and had a good syrup to carbonation ratio. Very underrated and will be back. read more

A little confused on where to go to get in line when I walked in but they kindly got me on the right track. Everyone was pretty friendly and seemed like they were having fun except for the girl that was yelling peoples names to pick up their pizzas. I decided to try this place because it has a 4 Star review on here. I just move to town and wanted a close by pizza place that does gluten free. My first experience I ordered online two different pizzas. It told me it would be ready at a certain time. I get down there ten minutes past the time it was suppose to be ready (30 minutes) and it still wasn't done, after 20 minutes (now 60 minutes since order) My name was called and I got my pizzas. They gave me the wrong pizza. I was hungry and didn't checked until I get home. I call them and tell them my order is wrong and they said they would fix it and it would take 7 minutes. I get there in about ten. I let them know I'm the one who called and wait for my pizza. It took them an additional 30 minutes to get my replacement pizza that they messed up on. I in total for the first trip had to wait 1hr and 30 to get my pizzas. Figured hey. It's good pizza, it's probably a one off. Tonight I ordered again. Wait time again was thirty minutes. Wait 20, go it gas. Get there and it's 5 past when pizza is supposed to be down. Isn't, wait another 25 minutes for pizza to be be done. That's another hour that I've waited for pizza. I wouldn't mind so much if the counter online gave a more appropriate time. Order is right, but one of my pizzas is 1/4 smaller than the other pizza... I got the same size pizza and one is smaller. I included a picture that shows one bigger than the box and curling up while the other has about an inch from the box. Sizing way off. Pizzas is good but I'd prefer consistency and more accurate wait times. Not sure if I'll try them again. read more

My daughter took me here last week, and I have to say I was blown away! They have something called a pizza salad, which so intrigued me I had to order it. For a little over $10 I got a generously sized, warm Asiago pizza crust with my customized salad on top. You can have as few or as many ingredients you want for the same price. Sort of like Subway, you choose from a large selection of ingredients in front of you and the staff builds the salad right before your eyes. Then the salad was piled on top of that fragrant, warm, sliced pizza crust. Genius! It was delectable, and enough for either two people or two meals for one. I was happy to take half of it home for the next day. They don't deliver, but you can order online and have it ready for pickup. I will be back! read more

I had never been to a MOD pizza before, but I found it surprisingly good. I went because my kids wanted pizza. This wasn't the type of pizza I prefer, but the selection of fresh toppings made my pizza very good. I probably wouldn't stop here if it was pizza that I was looking for because I prefer a thicker crust. I would definitely search out a MOD if I was in the mood for a salad. The side salad I had with my pizza was excellent and the ingredients were fresh. I can't think of anyplace where I have been able to get a better salad.
