Gave Mod a try for smoe pie and had a good experience while there. The service was fast andf friendly and the ambiance was casual. The line where they prep the pie was clean and well kept, however the cross contamination controls with the employees could use some help/education. I ordered a gluten friendly pie (yes, I am aware there is flour at any pizzaria and am taking a personal risk in eating there, HOWEVER, employees should have enough education in food service to minimize the cross contamination). The reason for the markdown is the pie I ordered was taken off the "special tray" and placed on a common use stone stove and slid around, as they maybe don't have a process in pllace to cook it on the tray to keep it seperated? My family had a good time while there as did I, while I had lingering concerns I'd be sick later. read more

While I prefer Blaze pizza over Fired Pie and MOD pizza, if I had to rank MOD, it would be my 2nd choice. Considering there isn't a Blaze pizza in my area, I have no problem going to MOD instead to satisfy my pizza craving. They have a variety of toppings to choose from, and they don't skimp on the toppings when making your pizza. I am not sure if it's because I get so many toppings or if they can't accurately gauge the cook time, but I prefer a more crispy crust throughout. This is one of my favorite build your own pizza places to go to. Especially since I don't eat meat. I am able to add all the veggies I want from spinach, broccoli, jalapeños, carrots, green peppers, mushrooms, corn, etc. They also have garbanzos beans to add the protein you need but on the day I went they didn't have any. Other favorite thing is the sauces you can add at the end. I love the balsamic fig and pesto drizzle. You can also select Daiya cheese and gluten free crust. Normally, I don't leave reviews, but this experience deserved to get shared. I put an Internet order at 8:08 PM for a pick up time at 8:30 PM. I checked in right at 8:30, granted this location was busy. Waited about 15 minutes before asking for an eta, & my order wasn't even in the oven yet. Another 15 minutes and I was asked if my barely cooked pizza was well done enough at 8:58 PM. No apology given just blamed the fact they were busy. I reluctantly took the pizza as I've already been waiting well past the promised pickup time. I understand getting slammed but I asked the employee if you give a promised time on your app, don't you think you should honor that? His response was "hey man sometimes shit happens". I asked another employee who the manager on duty was on my way out and was shocked to find out it was the same person I was just talking too! Pizza tastes good but why is it burned lately? I ordered take out a few months ago and it was burnt. Almost inedible. I complained via email but never received a response. Today I thought I'll give it a try. So I came in to eat. Burnt again. And the bottom has lots of specks of burned flour from previous pizzas. We typically visit the MOD in Chandler, which seems to be newer than this location so maybe our expectations were a touch skewed, but all in all we had a good experience at this MOD. First and foremost, the employees were friendly and helpful. They prepared our pizzas just as expected and the pizzas were as good as we expected them to be! Yummy, yummy stuff! The restaurant itself was spacious. If I were to make a suggestion it would be that they consider getting more comfortable seating. The chairs are backbreakers unfortunately and the table that we were sitting at was wobbly, which is an irritant. But the restaurant was clean and there were plenty of seating options so if you had a large group, you'd likely be able to accommodate them here. read more

First time going to mod pizza not that disappointing but not the best ever. The pizza was luke warm and they lost one of my parties pizzas. How do you lose a pizza?? We went back and asked them about it and they said that it was lost and continued making other pizzas it took around 20 minutes for the person in my party to get their pizza. I had recent back surgery and have an angry nerve that causes me extreme pain. Simon noticed I was suffering and he went out of his way to help serve me, brought my pizza to me and showed compassion and empathy as he went out of his way to make me comfortable and feel at home. Cafeteria style is a thing so I get it but its fast food pizza. Its not the same quality as some of the other local wood or gas fired joints. This is another solid "build your own" pizza joint, so many seem to be popping up lately. Today was the second time Scott picked up a pie, which we shared for lunch. There's three sizes/choices in crust: mini, regular, and double crust - four if you add the gluten free option - we get the regular thin crust. You can create your own pie with their plethora of ingredients, or go with their menu suggestions. Both times we have thoroughly enjoyed the Za, the first was a Margerita, the second was white with garlic drizzle, asiago, mozzarella, ricotta, and Parmesan; it was delicious and the perfect size for us to share for lunch. Both the pizza and the salad were fresh and tasty and reasonably priced. You serve yourself your own drink and they bring you your pizza once it had been cooked. The line was fairly long but it moved fast and the kids behind the counter were very efficient and helpful. There is plenty of parking. I want to address the togo online orders that are happening. They take priority over the customers standing face to face in line. I waited 12 minutes maybe more to order (I was 2nd in line) because they had to do the phone orders.Oh we're sorry... But I don't understand. It kept happening to everyone in line.
