So this has nothing to do with the Pizza, since I have not been able to try it even though I did try. About a month ago I took a large group of people to go eat there on a Saturday for lunch. We wanted to support it after hearing about the owner passing away and heard awesome things about the pizza. We arrived and it was closed for the day. This was about 2 weeks after the owner had passed. I reached out via social media to ask if in the future they could post on social media if they will be closed before people drive across town to eat there. I did this in a very sensitive manner even citing that I was aware of the recent passing of the owner so I understand things can be crazy. The response by the company: I was blocked. I said nothing improper and just gave a suggestion to inform the public if they would be closed like almost every other business does. Maybe I caught the person on a bad day, but man that was maybe the most unprofessional thing I've experienced on social media by and established company. Ill likely still try this place one day, but I cant really plan to since I have no idea if it will be open. read more

So the smallest "slice" you can get is two slices which they charge $16 bucks for. $8 a slice is stupid. On top of that it took like 20 minutes to get my slice. I think they gave it away to someone else and forgot about me. They never apologized. They didn't seem to care. They also don't have and silverware and when I asked they again were just dismissive. As for the pizza, it's nothing special and kinda greasy. So as you can expect the owner replied and was rude. This place is run by rude people. And no this isn't gourmet pizza. I've had plenty of that and this is far from it. They do sell slices. Look at the pictures. They just don't call them that because paying $16 for two slices of pizza would be crazy. We were hungry for pizza, so we stopped in at CPP. I saw that the pizza was square and my heart dropped. Here's the reason why--I'm from Chicago and the only "square" pizza I've ever had is Detroit style pizza and, well, it's not very good... Surprisingly good pizza! We came here because several other restaurants had an insane wait at 1pm on a Saturday in April, but ended up enjoying this option. Parking near Crisp was difficult, we found plenty of spots a few blocks away from this main area. Crisp was busy but had no wait at 2pm on a Saturday, and we easily grabbed a table for 8 outside. We got the pepperoni (large) and garlic ricotta (small). The pepperoni was a little spicy, just enough for the adults, a little too much for the kids. The garlic ricotta was great, I usually only like red sauce pizzas, but this was packed with flavor and the thick ricotta worked really well. Both had a thicker crust with a nice crisp. I was hungry while walking around Old Town before going to Jeni's so I came upon this place. A small local business, I was very happy to try this, as seeing their pizza was very appealing and easy on the eyes, plus from outside, the pizza smelled absolutely wonderful. I got a can of Diet Coke and a slice of pepperoni pizza. It was the perfect go-to meal and just enough for me. Their "slice" was actually 4 small pieces made into one perfectly portioned square. We stopped here a couple years ago, after a baseball game during spring training. It was close to closing and they just had one pepperoni pizza left, so we grabbed it. The guy, I'm thinking it was the owner, was friendly and accommodating since they were almost closing and we had three hungry boys with us. He brought us the pizza where we were waiting outside, and I'll never forget that pizza. I think about it from time to time, it was delicious. Is the food good? Yes, absolutely. Is the price worth it? Not really. Ambiance is typical outdoor Scottsdale, as they don't really have indoor seating (more of a walk-up bar vibe). honestly a hidden gem in Scottsdale. Very small joint, guy running the place said he makes a limited number of pizzas in the morning and stays open till he runs out for the day. We ordered a veggie pizza. Tried to modify the pizza to take off peppers but the guy literally told us no he won't take them off because that's how it's made haha. Definitely a little thrown off but to our surprise the pizza was actually very delicious. Lovely tasting pizza! It's so rich and satisfying. I usually get 2 squares of pepperoni pizza. Even when I'm starving, it's a perfect portion. The crust is thin and crispy. Very much New York Style.
