If I could give no stars I would.This is by far the most unprofessional salon I have ever been to in my entire life. No exaggeration whatsoever.I had been going to them for a while. One day I arrive and the technician that does my hair did not show up so I was given off to someone else. That had no clue what they were doing messed my hair completely up. Tried to upsell from what I usually pay. Then when I said this needs to be fixed I said come back tomorrow. Came back the next day they had the same person try to redo my hair first she showed up late and then made it even worse. The owner Anna was fully aware of the entire situation and just let it happen. Did not try to rectify the situation at all. Even when I texted her direct line and asked for the situation to be fixed. I love this place. I haven't gotten braids yet, just sew-ins. My hair stylist Shae is super fast, willing to work with you and gives you advice to take home and get your hair back on track. Good thing is that the shop is open 7 days a week beginning at 9:00 a.m. which is a plus for me! The shop owner Anna is always friendly and such a sweetheart! From what I've seen in regards to hair braiding, Even though you can bring your own hair they have hair provided at the shop. They also have actual samples of different braid styles that you can choose from...don't know if that is a normal thing for a braiding studio but I thought it was kind of nice. Now it's a tad bit inconvenient to get to now since I've moved but it is so worth the trip. Oh and I forgot to mention, it's cash only...no credit card machines. read more

I've gone here twice and received great customer service each time. My micros were awesome and I received compliments up until I took them out 4 months later. Anytime I had a loose braid they fixed it with no problems. There was a bit of a scheduling issue when I went for my touch up but Anna fixed it right away and accommodated accordingly. Yesterday I went in and had kinky twists done and once again the customer service was excellent and it did not take long to have them done. Will definitely be back again. read more

If i had the choice of giving them zero stars I would. This was the worst salon experience I've ever had in my life. Literally a hair salon horror story. The stylist in here were very unprofessional, disrespectful, lazy and seemed to not know a thing about hair at all. I had to inform the stylist that she didn't wash the back of my hair--it wasn't even wet at all. She then tried to carry me and not wash it at all. I asked the stylist about 5 times to wash my hair properly and she only rinsed it as if i wouldn't realize it didn't get washed. It took another stylist to get the job done, only for her to pull the same shit. The artist then goes on to say "whatever" when i imformed her coworkers. One of the stylist then go on to ask me why i didn't wash my own hair and why did i want to get such an intricate design of braids. I have thick, dense, kinky hair that the artist then tries to blow dry with what looked like a hot comb for edges. After I called out in pain she then hands me the comb telling me that i should comb it myself. The artist even lied about knowing how to do a hair style that i found a picture from their page. And this isn't even tho whole story. Simply the salon shouldn't even be open for business with the way those 3 hair stylist behaved. No one should leave a hair salon feeling the way i did. I am very sad to write this review. I went to this shop in December and the shop is beautiful and the staff is friendly, I had every intention on making this my regular braid shop, but now it's not likely at all. Mrs. Anna installed micro braids into my hair on Saturday, Dec. 14th When she finished she did not knot the ends or anything, but she assured me that they wouldn't come a loose. By that Monday, of course they were coming undone, so I called Mrs. Anna and she told me to come back on Saturday, Dec 21st. I was at that shop for SIX HOURS!!! and when I left the braids still did not look right. I got the braids for a trip to Jamaica, by December 23 the braids were once again coming undone. I went swimming one time and by Christmas Day half of the braids literally fell out of my head!!!! So while on vacation I had to spend a day taking braids down and I got my hair re-braided while I was in Jamaica. I communicated with Mrs. Anna and sent her pics of my hair every step of the way so that she would know that I'm not just trying to get over on her. I paid Mrs. Anna $300 for micro braids and she improperly installed them. I paid $250 for hair that was wasted because it was improperly installed. I paid $150 for box braids because the micros were a disaster!! I called Mrs. Anna when I returned and she offered to do box braids for me, which of course I don't need since I already have my hair braided. She offered to give me $150 of my money back, but I do not believe that is fair. I am out of $700 because she improperly installed my braids, I think that it would only be fair for her to refund the complete $300. She did not agree with that, and we have not been able to come up with a resolution so I will be filing a law suit against her tomorrow morning. I was hoping that Mrs. Anna would be fair and that I can continue being a customer, however my experience this far has shown me that she isn't. The place was nice and the people were nice but the work was not good at all her daughter started my sengalese twist which I specifically said micro and she did them medium size way to big another braider had to take them down and do them over which she still forgot a few the girl left. They were not what I wanted and paid 300.00 for them. Please search around before going there the work is not that good for that price. I was very disappointed by this business. I have natural hair, and my hair has been braided numerous times by different braiders at other salons. First, Anna complained about the hair I bought and stated that she could not braid with the hair. It was a good Janet brand kankelon quality grade hair that has braided beautifully before. Then, Anna gives me a comb and told me to comb out my own hair. Mind you, my hair has natural curls, but that has never been a problem before. One of the other girls attempted to blow dry my hair to straighten it, but had it in a setting so high that it burned my neck. Another braider asked if I could go to the shop next door to get my hair blown out because they did not have a comb attachment on their blow dryer. Huh? You are an African shop and don't have these basic supplies? I found the people were rude and basically said they could not braid my natural hair. This is the first time I have ever had a shop turn down business. If you have natural hair, I would not recommend this shop. Although they are African, they are unwilling to work with natural hair. Thankfully, I left this shop and got an appointment with another shop the same day that braided my hair in 2 hrs read more
