I did not know that in order to grow dreadlocks it was not supposed to be braided at the root, and then twisted at the ends. A woman name Cocoa asked me twice how I wanted my hair done. She did asked me if I would like it braided at the root and twisted at the ends, and I did agreed to have my hair that way. I did show Cocoa a YouTube video how I wanted my hair done before she ask me if I wanted my hair both braided and twisted too. Cocoa did a great job doing my hair the first time of me ever getting it done at a African Braiding shop. I called the shop on January 19 to talk about my hair possibly growing into dreads to the shop owner named Sara. I honestly admit that I was not very clear how I wanted it done, but I wanted micro dread locks. Sara told me to come back to the shop to get my hair done again on Martin Luther King day. When the phone was handed over to Cocoa, Cocoa went off on me. She was very nasty to me, and she was very unprofessional. Coca charge me $60.00 for dreadlocks and $10.00 to take out my hair, so that is 70.00 in total. While she was taking my hair out, I noticed she appeared to be very upset with me. It felt like Cocoa was using a lot of force on the comb used to take out my hair such as yanking and pulling motion. I noticed a lot of knotted up hairs all over the floor. She was doing a lot of ignoring me and not talking to me the whole time she worked on my hair. I noticed she had a very mean facial expression when I asked her to take a picture of my hair. The second time she told me "no"while walking away from me. I asked her for a business card on my way out the door, she did not give me one she mentioned that her husband is on his way to pick her up. Cocoa was closing up the shop for the night. Although Cocoa was complaining about my dreads being long dreads and my hair was a lot to take out; I already had planned to give her 80.00 instead of 70.00 way before I came back to the shop. I even apologized twice for the misunderstanding, but it did no good to even to apologize is what I noticed. When I attempted to apologize the second time she almost raised her voice at me as if she was irritated or angry. But did not know that I was about to apologize. By the way, she did a great job redoing my hair as well. As a matter of fact, the shop owner Sara have stated that the way my hair was done the first time would have grown into to dreadlocks that could be twisted.

I'm wasting hours of my life going in there each and every time all she kept doing was telling me about her work hours how much time she was taking, how much money she spent on them I told her I was disappointed that her customer service since December she didn't even offer me 10% off or I don't constantly feeling like I did something wrong. I finally spoke up. She said that she did,t She shows me a screenshot. She sent it to my fb her I have not spoken since 2022 on fb so I had no knowledge that she sent it to my Facebook, we text all the time personal things, work related.why all of a sudden she used fb? I don't know at that point. I was just so upset that I kept feeling like I had to keep speaking up for myself defending I had enough, I explained that I want a refund. She said you can either have a refund or you can go get the removal which at that point I had to make a choice I have no idea how much removal is, but she was not going to help me with both then she told me that I had to wait for my refund because she uses a system to where she could not get the refund back at that point. I let her know I want to be her company, I am a business owner myself when it comes to my client I would take it out of my business account and whatever third-party or system that she uses, she should have dealt with them on their own not me needing to wait at that point I had no choice because she gave me no other options She said I finally put a review on my social media Instagram, which I also have proof of at that point she goes into my DM's threatening me to sue me get attorneys involved and she also told me I'm not getting my money. Well take that back first she said it was going to be six weeks. She never told me six weeks until now, so two weeks six weeks by the end of that conversation when I said the review is based off of my experience that I had with you and your company I have every right to express she then told me now I'm not getting anything. I also have those screenshots overall it was her because I considered her a friend, this wasn't $100 job. This was $650. This was my it has affect it self esteem the way I take pictures and for someone to just not care or to constantly blame me or make me feel like I did something wrong when I was 100% understanding that mistakes happen but I got sick of being treated like I was doing something wrong, God bless her.
