They ended up keeping my $300 security deposit and telling me that I still owed them almost $500 and sent me to a debt collector. Although I knew they were lying about damages i begrudgingly paid it because I knew it would cost more to take them to court. Well, almost two and a half years later, they have charged me AGAIN with a different debt collector and a hefty interest charge like I never paid it. Please beware, this place is not only incredibly greedy, they're also a mess. If you're thinking about renting here due to the price, remember, you get what you pay for. Lesson learned for me. She gave me plenty of time over multiple visits, showed me several different apartments and views based on my preferences, and never made me feel rushed. She was also extremely responsive with the lease agreement and made changes whenever I requested them. Overall, Charles was great. This request was made within the 20-day notice period. Had I received timely information, I would have transferred units, complied fully with notice requirements, and saved approximately $400 per month in rent. Instead, I was forced to repeatedly call, text, email, and leave voicemails with little to no response. There is no transparency in communications--you do not know who is responding, and replies routinely address only a fraction of what was asked. After submitting a formal escalation, the only response I received was essentially, "Thanks for your patience; we can't do anything," despite the delay originating entirely on management's end. Living in a building where residents are treated this way is shocking. My correspondence has always been respectful and courteous, but persistent non-responsiveness and lack of accountability understandably erode trust. I still do not know who to speak with to resolve this issue, and the overall conclusion is that resident concerns are simply irrelevant and ignored. Things such as charges for use of the 'clubhouse', (just a public area in the lobby that is not at all private), and the generally out of service theater, are among the things that make residents move to other properties. The recent refresh of the lobby was, oddly, a huge step down-market. The wood-laminate flooring was replaced with what is clearly discount vinyl. The added artwork could well have come from a clearance bin at Target, and there is new and lobby garish signage as well. There is no designated area for outgoing packages. Your option is to leave it on the mailroom counter where it may be either ignored or stolen. I've had both experiences. When the building was initially opened, they hosted a buffet and open house with the architect and others. The architect told me how the feature fireplaces (lobby and outdoor patio) were high-efficiency and designed to be left on 24/7. UDR wired in timers with the default as "OFF", making both areas look dark, neglected, and unwelcoming. The security keypads just installed in the building are cheap plastic. The keypad on my home safe is better built. At Milehouse the numbers immediately stop working, and soon the whole black plastic keypad is out of service. You are then locked out of the building, or the elevator. If coming from garage you're locked out of both. They keypads are clearly not suited for a commercial application. The building has a mezzanine area with tables and chairs that once had an operating station where you could get hot coffee and tea. That disappeared and now the mezzanine is abandoned. Management permits ongoing incursions into, and theft from, the building's bike room. Expensive bikes and ebikes are routinely stolen, getting barely a shrug from management. All the bike owners in the building would gladly monitor a security app or desktop program that monitored entrance to and activity in the bike room. Such a simple fix. Management moved the Parcel Pending package lockers from inside the secure building, outside to the open garage. Oversize packages too big for the lockers are left on the ground for thievery which is now common. There are just less than 40 new multi-resident buildings in the Redmond area, and all have surpassed what was once a highly desired property. None of this is the fault of on-site staff. The low standards commenced when UDR purchased the building. It appears that someone is not paying attention, or simply does not care.

They were there the next day, discovered the issue and completely replaced the dishwasher in 30 min with a new one! When does that ever happen in that time frame? My last property took two months to fix my ice maker! NEXT DAY YALL! The Daily Trash Valet is amazing and so convenient and so are the GIANT community trash and recycling bins which are convenient and hidden so you aren't looking at trash! They just installed a fire pit at the pool which I am super excited to get to use this summer right after my gym sessions in the 24 hour gym! It took me nearly 4 months to write this review, as I was giving Boulder Creek and Simpson property the chance to make things right. However, due to minimal (if any) progress after months & limited to no communication - I have to rate this property a zero. When we came to walk around the general area- we noticed that construction was being done on our entire building. We were assured that it would be completed prior to our move in. We stressed our concerns, as the stairs leading to the front door were completely blocked off - meaning the resident could only use the stairwell in the garage to come/go from their apartment. This was a concern because the stairs in the garage are narrow and steep- which we pointed out would not be accessible for our dog (who has arthritis) nor would there be space for us to move our furniture in on moving day. On our move in day we received a call telling us that there was a last minute meeting they had to attend, so our move in time would have to be pushed back. Not the best first impression for brand new tenants. Not only did this disrupt our plans for the day, but it affected our truck rental, & the people we had helping us. (What if we were paying movers by the hour?) There was no regard for us and our time. Moving is stressful already, but this was an added stress, cost & an awful introduction to our first true experience at Boulder. Within the first two weeks (some of these issues are still current) we had the following work orders/notices that we submitted and brought to the attention of Boulder Creek: 1. Floor transitions & carpet not tacked down 2. Carpet nails all over 3. Blinds installed incorrectly 4. Dishwasher had a broken heating mechanism and needed to be replaced 5. Washer hoses were mixed & all settings ONLY sent out hot water 6. Cabinetry falling off the wall because it was glued and not nailed 7. Patio door (that was blocked since move in until more recently- has a different lock that we don't even have a key for, so it is not useable 8. A VERY strong odor of urine in one corner of the kitchen (mice infestation inside walls), and a strong odor of mildew in our kitchen pantry (both of these took a long time to address and are still not 100% resolved) a. After many phone calls and emails, we asked them to cut a hole in the drywall in our pantry only to find out the dryer vent was never connected- so wet lint has been flying through our walls. (Fire hazard! And the main source of mildew- which we still smell on occasion) 9. Our garage door broke 3 times within a 2- week span 10. Uneven sidewalk that is sinking into the ground, & consistent flooding with any rainfall 11. Mossy and unkept patio concrete (we were told this would be power washed) 12. Abysmal landscaping due to ongoing construction 13. Mouse infestation in our walls 14. Exposed dry rot since Day 1 of move in (part of the 'construction'- mind you, the dry rot was never disclosed to us prior to move in) We have had people in/out of our apt what seems like nearly every day. We can barely unpack, because every time we begin, there is a new issue. Unfortunately, this is why I wanted to leave this public review of our experience here, so others can make the decision for themselves if this is a property they want to be a part of. During our time living here, we had limited access to our front door, & ongoing construction 5 days a week for 2+ months. The above issues have made our apartment uninhabitable at many points. These apartments are well over $3200, and do not match that price tag. I have attached photos so people can understand the severity of some of these ongoing issues. I had hoped for more communication, and resolution, but it seems like that is not something Boulder Creek or Simpson properties is open to. The pros of our time here: Our building neighbors are wonderful. Don't be surprised if your package ends up with a neighbor--or in another building entirely. Access system overkill: You'll need three separate systems to live your daily life here. Butterfly app, SmartRent, and a fob--none of which work well together. Android users, prepare to be locked out. Food delivery scavenger hunt: No clear delivery instructions, and couriers can't navigate the Butterfly app. After 10+ times of searching for my food in random buildings or outside, I've accepted that my dinner now lives in the wild. Airbnb-palooza: Strangers coming and going 24/7, no background checks, and enough weed stench in the halls to hotbox the whole floor. Who needs safety or a sense of community, right?
