We had three teenage boys who were ready to play and were understandably pretty disappointed. We ended up at Code Red Airsoft in Perris, and they completely turned the night around! I want to acknowledge the one employee Evan who realized my brother and I were sweating and overheating and gave both us water's complimentary. Someone give him a raise as the other employees simply wanted to me to buy bottled waters individually. I spoke directly with the owner, Steve, and he really sold me on this place. He talked about how packed it was, mentioned regulars, and made it sound like my son and his friends were going to have an amazing time. I specifically wanted to make sure they would have everything they needed, so I asked questions, got the pricing, and even asked Steve directly about the night game the following Saturday. I actually asked him, "Will it be too busy? Will they be able to play?" because he had made the place sound so busy. He assured me about the experience, so I made plans around it and told him we would be there. Fast-forward to Saturday. I show up with three 16-year-old boys who are excited and ready to play, and immediately we're told by the woman working there that they are planning to close for the night. Apparently, we could wait around and see if more people showed up, but if they didn't get at least 10 people, everyone was going home. Seriously? This was a birthday outing that I had specifically called ahead about and discussed with the owner. If there was a minimum number of players required for the night game, that should have been clearly communicated when I called and made the plans. Instead, we were essentially told that our plans didn't matter. I explained that I had spoken with Steve and that he had specifically told me to come that night. There was no real attempt to make it right. I was given a 50% off coupon and offered 15 minutes at the shooting range before we'd need to leave. Needless to say, the boys were incredibly disappointed. Thankfully, ASG Airsoft in Perris completely saved the night. Huge shout-out to their staff and customer service. We went there instead, and the boys had an AMAZING time. They were excited, had a great experience, and what could have been a terrible birthday night ended up being a really fun one -- just not at Jungle Island. My son ended up getting shot multiple times by adults and came home with marks all over his body. I didn't realize grown adults would be allowed to shoot at kids during the game, and that made the experience uncomfortable for us. The staff were actually kind and friendly, so I appreciate that. However, the overall organization and structure of the event really needs improvement, especially if the parties are meant for kids. Tip for parents: If you're planning a birthday party here, you may want to ask ahead of time whether adults and kids will be playing together in the same session. Because of our experience, I wouldn't recommend this place for kids' birthday parties and we likely won't be returning.

My only suggestion is when checking in for a party particularly for Airsoft that it is explained better the process on what to expect and what to do next etc.. I didn't know we had to purchase the airsoft BB (not a big deal) but we didn't know until we had to ask why our magazines were empty. The Ref kindly explained and was really helpful. We were initially told to wait at our table and a Ref will come to us so we did. We waited approx 40 mins and no one came so we went to ask the status and the Party was assisted right away. Just a little miscommunications but not a big deal what matters is the Party had a memorable time we will definitely be back!

You can tell he has a lot of experience. The girl was down to earth. Super cool. You can tell she been in customer service for a while. And the son, was well, the son.
