Sugarcane is this cute shop where you can find all these locally made items for a gift, for the home, fir kids, for a friend, or for visitors. They have books, puzzles, toys jewelry, totes, bags, coasters and more. I love the wooden toys for the kids. I bought a wooden cell phone, a camera, stickers and a cute cooking set. They are my kiddos favorite toys. I've gotten key chains and jewelry for gifts. We have coasters for our home too. The workers are pretty friendly and they also wrapped my gift item too. The items seem pricey, but they are locally made and are unique. I don't think you'll find any ship with the same kind of item that Sugarcane carries. Sticking with the theme the best in my opinion with adorable wooden boxes in the shapes of the kagami mochi stacks, wooden zodiac animal charms and what really really caught my eye was their fortune cookie coin purse which was so thoughtfully crafted to include a fortune in each one is so cool. The unique items they have is what I love and it was nice to meet the crafters behind it along with seeing all the items they carry on hand versus online is more my thing but now know some of their items since I've seen them will give their site a visit for more unique finds and to support this cute local small biz. Every Day Better by Green Meadows is a shop that carries eco-conscious merchandise. There were bags, clothing, jewelry, books, little ceramic animal figures, air plants, packing cube sets, umbrellas with duckie faces on the handles, fabric koi fish hanging flags from France, insulated lunch bags, pillows, clothing, wrapping paper, gift bags, and more! I need to return because I only got a reusable Hello Kitty bag and a couple of greeting cards... haha! Metered street parking is nearby. The municipal parking lot is over on the next block. Love the layout though small and cozy it's all nicely organized with items from various other small local vendors are also found here is nice as they work together to bring us fun and unique items from everyday stationary items to of course scrapbooking are found here, I've been seeking quite a bit of inspiration for an a spark of idea and found it here and got so inspired which is a happy dance. This is sad... I purchased what I thought was a little bottle essential oil that I wanted to mix…read morewith my lotion because it had a wonderful smell. The little green boxes are on the counter by the register. I picked a beautiful scent and purchased it. Unbeknownst to me what I actually purchased was a car freshener! I knew they didn't give refunds only exchanges and gift cards. I went back the next day to see if I can get the essential oil in the bottle that I had seen on the counter. As it turned out there all car fresheners! The issue I have is it's not labeled car freshener and the bottles are quite deceiving. The samples are in little bottles that would lead you to believe this is actually an essential oil you can use on your body and nowhere does it say that these are car fresheners. . This is my birthday week and my husband was taking me shopping. This was the first time I've ever purchased anything from The Refinery and probably the last! I'm very disappointed that they don't give refunds when special circumstances like this occur especially when the products are not labeled correctly. The lady who helped me was very nice but I highly doubt I'm going to use the gift card that I was given I really think I deserved a refund for a product that is definitely misleading so I'm out $16.00... Lesson Learned..
