Wow! I am so impressed and thrilled about the service we received at my Mother's house. She had been in the hospital for two months and I wanted her to come home to a clean house. I contacted Modern and the owner came out to give us a bid on cleaning the carpet and the sofa. There were old pet stains on the carpet and another carpet cleaning company had made an unsuccessful attempt to clean the sofa years ago. I was ready to cover it or throw it out because it looked so bad. The carpet AND the sofa came out very well. In fact, the sofa looks new. I was a bit concerned about whether or not they would be successful, but the owner told me that he felt their process would be successful, and it was. Mom was so surprised when she came home. The work was excellent, the staff, including Megan on the phone, were wonderful, and we are very pleased! This was a fantastic experience getting a clean carpet! The gentleman was friendly and courteous and also professional. The service was spectacular! My dog had repeatedly soiled one area. Rodney R when to town on it and the results were just about flawless. I was a little concerned a few days later when i thought the scent had not entirely come up. This was made perfect by the fact they were willing to follow up with an extra service call. Their work truly is guaranteed! I thought i May get a little advice on how to fix it further. They came back and fixed it themselves! The entire carpet now looks brand new and i felt their rates were fair. They worked around my in place furniture but were able to get corner to corner with their machine. I'm so glad i did this. My house feels new again. The best experience! We have used other carpet cleaners in the area with varying degrees of success but David, Modern's carpet guy, came our way and did a fantastic job! First of all, when I called in the receptionist was helpful and fit us into their schedule within a few days of the call. This was helpful to me because of the time schedule I had to keep. I had the whole house done, David came in, listened to my questions and looked at the areas I was concerned about. He gave me realistic answers and advice throughout the job. He was quick, thorough and pleasant to have in my home. My carpets hadn't been cleaned in over two years, now they look and smell so much better! I've used several different companies, including a national company, since arriving in Chico but Modern Carpet is the hands down favorite. I live in a rental with off white berber carpet. It's probably 15 years old at least. I have it cleaned every 6 months. Often it's just a lighter shade of gray & it's usual stiff & crunchy the next day. But my carpet was soft, almost creamy white in all but the worst areas & those were cleaner than I've ever seen them! It's been a month & they still look & feel great under foot. They weren't the cheapest I've used but the are certainly competitively priced. I will definitely use them again & have already told friends. I will certainly post again after my next cleaning & am optimistic for more of the same great service. read more
