I've been looking for a good barbershop experience, and decided to try this place after receiving a flyer. When you arrive, it's not much to look at, but don't let that stop you. The service I received from Jerry was phenomenal. Not only did he give me an excellent cut, he performed the additional services I requested with great skill. In fact, I was complimented on my haircut a few days later--something I'd not experienced before! On Wednesdays, or if you have a flyer, a regular cut is $25, which is at the low end of the barbershops I've found that truly are full service in the best sense of the word. If I can do no start for this review I would. I had a appointment at this barber shop yesterday (2/26) for hair cut. The barber name is HUY. He messed up the hell out of my hair. I have grown my hair for more than 2 years, for what I wanted my hair to be. He talked a lot about how GOOD he is for the whole damn time while I was there. I told him to not touch my long hair because it already what I wanted just clean up the sides than I'm good but it turned out he mess up my left side of my hair then he decided to cut the other side up too so it can be even without asking me. When he shaved my sides, he cut both sides (pictures) I just don't get it. He didn't even say anything. Really highly not recommend to come to him (HUY). When I complained about my hair, he said, "did I mess up really" tell me to come back to fix it. Idk bro how do you fix it when the hair has already off my head. read more

Okay, my kid has a "not so straight natural hairline", as most people do. Since he started getting haircuts, we had a friend that was able to get it right, cut it once, but said friend doesn't live here. I've paid top dollar for "not quite right haircut", gone several different places in search for right cut, no body has been able to get that front hairline edge right, even when I've explained the hairline issue. A friend recommended Modern Image. Earvin Francia hooked him up. I'm honestly impressed. I didn't even explain anything, he understood what needed to be done. Isaac is 6 and used to never get his hair cut. He started cutting his hair at 3 almost 4 and has always gone to Nam. He refuses to go to anyone else.Hes gotten cuts from his uncle at Showtime and other places but no one cuts with the accuracy and detail Nam and everyone at Modern Image does. I was super excited to get my haircut by the "fade king Steven" but ultimately got the fade B/s. I had a really nice dinner to attend that night and I ended up not going because of how crappy my haircut was. Think he gave me a discount for Memorial Day but didn't even matter would have preferred a good cut. Didn't fade my hair right, left my hair uneven and gave me some weird part. He was late to the appointment, did a terrible job and was ridiculously high for the cut. Beware of this place. read more

I hate for my first review to be so negative but this place left me no choice. I was in need of a men's haircut and saw they were open on Sundays and they had one appointment so I booked. I arrived a few minutes early and the stylist I was supposed to see was still with a client, no big deal as I was early and they told me it would be a few minutes. 15 minutes and she was still working. 30 minutes, still with the same client. At 45 minutes past my scheduled appointment I decided my time was of zero value to this establishment so I left. Instead of trying to reach out (they have my phone number and email from the online schedule maker), they just sent both a cancelation text and email. No phone call to reach out to see if they can make it up to me, nothing. I hope this isn't a true reflection of how they operate and was an off day but from the looks of it, they really don't care at all. read more

We scheduled an appointment for my 3 year old 2 weeks in advance, however, he had a 105 fever the morning of the appointment and I was told that the advance on the spot for appointment would not be refundable or rescheduled. They may know how to cut hair, but don't know how to show good service. read more

Brought my husband here for a beard trim and haircut as a Valentines Day gift. Hughy took his time and carefully crafted the haircut my husband was looking for. Very professional and worth the price. A few chairs down, I watched one of the barbers work with an autistic child. She allowed his parents to sit with him and she talked to him as she cut his hair. For kids on the spectrum, a haircut can be overwhelming because of the noises, smells and sensations. She made this kid feel comfortable and patiently worked with him. Cannot say one bad thing about this barbershop, I love coming to them! This shop is the cleanest barber shop you'll ever go to! The environment is so nice compared to other shops. The moment you walk in you get a nice greeting and they accept walk ins.
