I just paid $35+tip for a beard line up. Definitely the last time I use this place. I don't mind paying for good service and I pay premium for for premium services , I don't mind that. Luis charged me $35 for 10 min beard line up, because the appointment was booked for a haircut. Completely ridiculous to screw your clients over like that. Abel Hernandez is a beast!!!! I found him on IG and knew that he would be able to transform my hair. He's very knowledgeable and passionate about his craft, which makes you feel at ease sitting in his chair. I wish that Razors Barbershop took appointments, because it can be annoying and inconvenient to wait until your preferred barber becomes available. As a courtesy to other patrons you could simply add them in ahead of others who maybe don't have an appt so they at the very least could have a realistic idea of where they are in line. If you do not have a specific barber you will be waiting awhile. If you get the next barber available he or she may not cut very well. I did this and the barber did not cut my hair as I asked. Low fade skin tight nothing off the top; Very simple. I got a high faded with nothing off the top. The barber spent more time talking than cutting my hair. Not a very professional barbershop. They lack customer service. When you walk in, not very welcoming. I have been to enough barbershops in different states to know a professional shop. This is not a gentleman's barbershop. There are some good barbers there, not all, that could benefit from leaving razors barbershop and going to a more upscale barbershop. It is a quantity over quality type of barbershop. The prices have gone up since then but the cuts are still fresh and on point. The wait can still be a while but other than that, it's great in every other aspect. Been coming here for over 6 years and still going strong. I've had cuts from a lot of the barbers here and not a bad experience from any of them. However, I try to go with Kevin when I can. Don't go here unless you are friends with the barbers. I had an appointment with Joshua scheduled a week out and at midnight the night before I received a text from Joshua saying that he would be charging $70 instead of his normal $25. I text him back and cancelled and then booked a new appointment for first come first serve at the same time. I got there the next day and waited 45 min while watching Joshua cut 2 people he seemed to be good friends with hair for the normal $25 each. I got tired of waiting and left. Seem like he just priced me out because he had friends that needed appointments during my time. read more

Probably the worst fade I ever got. Made an appointment online and didn't get seen until an hour later, Kevin rushed the hell out of my fade and finished in 18 minutes. This place is always extremely pack and the wait is insane..... BUT .... They way these guys take care of your needs (adult or child) is crazy amazing... I have two boys who I just started coming here (found them by accident ) for about two months now, every time I go the guys are nice, caring, asks a lot of questions to make sure you get the hair you want. Christian is the gentleman who cuts my sons hair.. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE AND EVERYONE. I don't typically review any experience I have at a place. I believe certain opinions are extremely subjective, and even if they warrant anecdotal critique, my energy just isn't there to do it (positively or negatively). For me to sit down and type this is indicative of how overlooked and dismissed I felt in this shop. I'm from California, so I'm not unacccustomed to waiting on a barber, particularly when you're a walk-in (which I was forced into being since when you call their listed number noone answers). It does bother me just a touch when your boy walks in after other waiting clients and you jump him in ahead of them and proceed to gab it up more than you're cutting while they wait for an extra 30 on top of the hour they already had in. But even that I can mitigate with my excuses of why. What I can't stomach however, is a "cut by numbers" type of barber, which Mario, the barber that cut me, is. Barbers are supposed to be trained, well enough in fact, that they earn a license for cutting hair. Professional barbers should be able to look at you the shape of your head, your hairline, the texture of your hair and understand what application would be best suited for you. Mario had no idea. We resorted to me picking out a picture that he could attempt to create on my hair, with me not knowing if it was the right direct for me or not. Even that is forgiveable. But when you cut someone's hair in an upward motion (think Kid 'n Play from like the 80's or 90's era), without even combing it out to blend it properly, you are setting the haircut up for disaster. That's how Mario cut my damn hair! After growing it and growing and growing it for months, keeping my own hands from trying to fade or scissor it, I go to a professional that promptly butchers it by cutting it going straight up in the air!! I got home feeling the experience. I combed my hair down and it was AN ABSOLUTE MESS! I had to go through it (after spending 30 bucks for a cut) trying to salvage something of a look. I omitted a great deal here, since this is already a long post, but trust when I tell you Mario at Razors in Richardson was a garbage barber to me. I saw him do well enough with his male Latino clients that had barely any hair. But if you're a woman, of color, or don't know what you want, forget him as a barber entirely. read more

This place does a good job on the cut, but I should prepare you on what to expect if you go there if your expecting a traditional barber. This is not my usual barber, but I gave it a shot in a pinch. The barbers here are young and more urban dressed. Not much traditional stuff you'd see at a traditional barber shop, as the theme appears to be urban music-themed interior. They advertise they can do everything including Mohawks and shapes in your hair.. and I believe it; the barber next to mine had a huge star, about the size of a large grapefruit etched into the side-back of his head. Do not receive a cut from this barbershop. The barbers here are incapable of keeping tracking of whose next. Customers cutting in front of others, causing others to suffer by waiting long hours. There should be no reason that someone who comes in at 9:30 AM has to wait until 11:00 AM and not even receive a cut. Barbers are more concerned about cutting their regulars and friend's hair more so than potential new clients Absolutely ridiculous. My husband came here to get his haircut and surprisingly, he was not disappointed. He usually gets his hair skin on the side with a medium fade and they actually do skin here unlike other barber shops. They have countless of barbers who are all pretty young, upbeat music and a nice atmosphere. My only criticism is that it is always super packed and there's no number system or any system to know who's next in line. You're basically sitting there until you get called up and most of the time, the workers themselves can barely keep up with who is coming in but overall, great prices and great cuts. read more

I seen good haircuts coming up out this place. I waited about an hour and a half to see a specific barber before I decided to leave. This place does not offer appointments and I don't have the time nor patience to wait 3-4 hours for a haircut. I recommend doing appointments on slower days and offer a sign in sheet.
