Last year I found a groupon for a spray tan in costa mesa and felt like it was terrible attitude like I was just another cattle in line and then looked an oompa loompa afterwards. So I guess I don't have anything to compare this to. But I do know that it's not lookin great. I was super nervous about the whole process. I wanted a very natural and pretty light tan. I did everything i needed to (from my research ) exfoliated 24 hours before, didn't moisturize etc. When I was there, I felt pretty uncomfortable and I didn't get anything explained to me. There weren't any sticky pads or anything to stand on (the soles of my feet are SO dark), no barrier cream, hair net, nothing. I really don't mean to bash on this company or anything, I just would have liked to know these things before deciding to get this spray tan. I am VERY orange. I have patches where there must have been more product. Just uneven everywhere. I'm really disappointed :(

When my wedding was approaching, I wanted to outsource a couple of my typical self-care diys: one, for the hope of removing some stress off of my calendar, and two, to experience some of the "bridal treatments" for myself. I found Alison on Yelp, and booked her for a couple of "trials" I guess you could say - my bridal shower, dress shopping, engagement photos, etc, all leading up to the big day. Alison was so warm and welcoming and helped me to feel comfortable each and every visit and we tweaked the recipe each time to meet my changing desires - which was such a blessing for me since I had recently moved out of state and really didn't have any friends or family to keep me company/guide me at that time, a kind gesture I'll never forget. She's also a chemist with her colors - creating a custom cocktail of colors and undertones to provide you with exactly what you're wanting in a rich, natural tan, but what also is the most flattering for your skin - something that I cannot recreate as an at home self tanner. She has a gift! I am always recommending her to anyone I know that is wanting a natural looking tan or an extra glow for a special event - no orange EVER!!!! Bonus - her products fade beautifully as well and last a decent amount of time (best color typically day 1-3, then it would fade slowly and evenly for the next 7-10 days - all depends on your skin, skincare routine, and shower routine of course!). Thank you Alison for taking such good care of me in every way and I'm always looking forward to seeing you again! On that note, Fuschia Spa was recommended by a friend and I loved the diverse line up of services, including a variety of facials, massages, wellness options such as infrared sauna, LED face masks and much more. I was able to snag an evening appointment for my husband and I a day in advance. I was also able to snag one of their special promotions for a facial or massage plus wellness option for $99 for first time clients, definitely check out their specials! I opted for a custom facial with a microdermabrasion add on, with the sauna as my wellness and my husband got a 60 minute massage followed by the hydra-massage. They were super friendly upon arrival and have a lovely waiting room with small snacks, coffee and tea. I did my sauna before the spa and once done with that was givena. fluffy robe and taken to the tranquility room that is a quaint, dimmed and relaxing waiting area. I really loved how a majority of the service rooms were blocked off from the made area to minimize noise and additional guests. It made the overall experience much more relaxing. My facial was lovely, the microdermabrasion was a $39 add on, but the products smelled fabulous, Crystal was lovely and did a great job on my service. My skin felt so great after. My husband really enjoyed his massage as well and I look forward to taking advantage of the service on my next visit! We decided to take advantage of the the membership! For $99 for facial/massage and one wellness service, additional member in the household is $89, we thought it was extremely reasonable and a little monthly self care is definitely needed. At the time of this review, any unused appointments rollover and can be stacked, no cancellation fee and exclusive member pricing for add ons. I loved my providers there but they have also left so I did not want to take another risk with other newer providers as the quality is of service is just not all the same. One time, I had an aesthetician who pretty much put a face mask for 10 minutes and left it there. It's such a joke. Finally, when cancelling, they are a bit rude about it and find that really strange after being a patron here for years. They charge $10 fee for any services or even wellness services you want to gift to another person. Also, they have steadily increased their membership rates. Yes, it's pretty ridiculous. I would not recommend Fuschia spa to anyone and would highly suggest looking for other places.
