Recently went here for an acrylic refill after being referred here by a long-time customer. The young lady who did my nails did an amazing job. She got the coffin shape I like just right, the acrylic is super smooth, and the polish job is very precise. I'm so happy with my nails!! I will be back in another 2 weeks for my refill. They conveniently take cards but I believe you have to tip in cash. There is a parking lot so that also makes things easier. read more

I used to be a recurring customer at Modern Nails and would go every week. I would typically get gel polish with a refill. The issue is that I noticed my nails would break very easily. Every time I would go back for them to fix it, they would blame it on my professional work assuming I type (which I don't very much). Not only would they charge to fix the nails, they use cheap acrylic. Almost every time, my nails would break after a few days. I've wasted so much money here. Luckily, I've found a new establishment that uses good quality acrylic and I've yet to break a nail since! read more

You get what you pay for here. I am very cheap but I have been coming here for years now. The sisters pay attention to detail. I use to come get my acrylics done here now I am w my natural gel nails. It has been 4 weeks & my polish is still on my nails. It's a small quant place. If you don't care about it looking fancy come here the work they do says it all. I also like the fact you can go to any of the sisters & you get the same quality work. Keep it up girls. read more

The staff that work here are almost all great for pedicures and to TALK to which is nice. More of a salon feel than a spa, for sure. It's not as updated or upscale as it could be, or as its competition is, but it's not at all shady and there's almost never a wait. Super low key and quick when you need it to be. I have been to this salon several times. It is clean, the staff is friendly, and they do a much better job now than when they first took over ownership of this location. The problem I have is that they use cheap acrylic! It's cloudy and chips VERY easily. I would love to come here, especially since there is a parking lot, and they take walk ins. I have been going to this nail salon for about a year now and the staff is really nice. It's a small place so I always try to go early and be served first. I only had to wait once in an entire year. There's a young lady who does my feet and she tries to engage with you. I believe they are clean as I've seen an older lady or man clean each pedicure chair. There's a sign in list so they keep track of who is next. I like their methods and plan on going back on Monday morning. read more

Unless you're going here to get false nails, I don't recommend. I only wear my natural nails, & I felt like the girl that serviced me really wasn't interested in the care of or look of my nails. The reason I say that is, I say in the pedicure chair for a while just to relax & I let another girl (who was getting false nails) get her nails done while I soaked up the chair massager. It was a supper slow day so me sitting longer didn't effect anyone. When it came time to do my pedicure & manicure she seemed supper bothered & didn't put any care when she scrubbed them & when I pointed out a side she missed she state "Oh the buffer can't get that type of dry skin" like I said before, I SAT longer to soak up the back massager, but it also meant my feet were in the water longer as well. GETTING SOFTER. So that line she fed me was bull. My manicure would have been ok had she actually shaped my nails & clean my cuticles up with care. I visited this nail salon not too long ago and received the quickest pedicure in my life. My feet only soaked in the water for about 5-7 minutes and I felt like a number in this establishment. Very pleasant and low key place. I went there in a hurry after work bc I couldnt make it to my regular salon.They offered me bottled water while I got my pedicure which was nice. Everything seemed clean and tidy. The service was just OK ...I've had better, more precise gel manicure applications and better cuticle cleaning. I tend not step out of my comfort zone when it comes to who I let service me because I'm extremely picky when it comes to my nails, hair, etc. however I also know you ALWAYS need a "just in case" backup if your person(s) is not available, etc.. On Tuesday I had a just in case situation and really needed my nails done, unfortunately my salon was closed. After reading several reviews online about local nail salons, I decided to give Modern Nail Salon a try and to my surprise they did not disappoint; the service was great, my nail technician was very friendly and more importantly this extremely picky person nails, pedicure & eyebrows looked amazing! The salon itself could use a little more TLC but overall it's clean/neat and the selection of regular & gel polishes are overwhelming in a good way to the point I couldn't decide what color to get! The salon is owned and managed by three sisters who are very family oriented, who again is on point with the customer service (I'm very big on customer service)! I'm definitely going back and I truly recommend if you're looking for a "new" or "just in case" salon, give Modern Nail Salon a try. read more
