They redid my nails with a different color again and I'm hoping this one last longer than 1-2 weeks this time. Edit: I'm pretty annoyed with the quality at this point. Within the first week my thumb and my index finger were chipped. I went back to get them fixed and it was an easy fix and I appreciate them fixing it. 2 days later my other finger is chipping. So the gel doesn't even last one week, when it usually last 3 weeks for me. Maybe it's the color I picked but I'm super disappointed. I really like this salon. It's very big and spaced out. The good: my pedicure was perfect. Nails trimmed well, nail polish looks great and hasn't chipped, and the whole experience was lovely. The bad: I had my gel manicure removed (which I had done at this salon a few weeks ago) and opted for regular nail polish because I didn't want to deal with having gel removed again. I'm not sure if it was because the appointment was later in the evening, but my manicurist seemed rushed and annoyed. My nails were unevenly filed and my polish was streaky. She didn't give me a top coat or that drying spray, just sat me under the dryer, and left the salon. No one told me how long I should wait so after about 20mins, I decided to get up and pay. My fault (but how was I supposed to know) when my nail polish fully slipped off my nails and they had to be redone. The manicurist who took over was even surprised at how poorly my nails had been filed + painted. I was given a UV dryer to help speed up the drying process the 2nd time which definitely helped. But, today (appointment was yesterday) my nail polish is already chipping and one nail has fully split even though my nails are naturally strong and healthy. I appreciate that the salon allowed me to get my nails fixed, but the first manicurist should have done a better job to begin with and I should have been given a UV dryer since the polish color I chose was apparently thick. Not sure why the salon would carry a nail polish if it's too thick to apply? I've been here a few times with okay results, but I think I'll just stick to pedicures in the future. read more

Well- another update! If I could give them a negative , I would. The sad part is, is I will not even go back to have them fix this one. It's just been a nightmare with them. My nail polish is PEELING AGAIN! Do not go to this place! This is just terrible! I've NEVER had this happen before! Take your money someplace else! Added another photo for proof. The only positive update is that they fixed my nails. However, it was not without the guy making me feel like I was a complete inconvenience to him because they had to fix them. He looked over my nails and was just like, "sit at 1st chair" He barely listened to anything I had to say, was talking to the actual nail tech that did my nails and having a conversation while I was in the middle of trying to explain- like literally I was talking and the tech came up and started talking and then he started talking back so I just stopped talking.. He never responded to any of my questions, squeezed my fingers pretty tight while fixing them and just kind of threw my hand back at me when he was done and was like "ok, finished". I noticed as he was starting on my nails that a woman came in and he got up to talk to her. Apparently her gel nails were peeling too. I guess the peeling happens more often than conveyed. Also, right after I put up my first review, I got a message from the owner within a few minutes. Kind of felt harassed. Basically saying that I didn't have to put a 1 star review. Well, yes, I did because the service was horrible, the communication was lacking and product was terrible! Not sure if they need to get a better gel product but apparently I'm not the only one that the gel peeled off within less than 24 hours. I would recommend that the owners use this as a teaching moment and coach your employees if you do not want unfavorable reviews in the future. Would not recommend going to this place. I came here because my normal nail girl was taking a long break. I didn't read any reviews, and I was a walk in. Maybe it was time of day or just good luck - either way I was super happy. I had builder and soft gel on that was over 4 weeks grown out. Lien was AMAZING, she took such good care to remove everything, cut down and shape my nails for a good grow out. I have pretty strong nails but some places they are sooo rough with your nails! She was firm and quick but not once didn't I feel any of it. 10/10 recommend her! Came in today w/ my daughter.. Pedicure was amazing and so relaxing! The massage was outstanding so I decided to upgrade my mani to the most expensive since it's not something I do often as I garden quite a bit. Everything was wonderful until the application of the bottom coat and polish. Bottom coat was not applied to the whole mail, omitting the sides and front edge. The pale color I chose was so streaky and old ( not much left in the bottle)that I had to have my technician take it off. I found a similar color. Putting the base coat on , she did not apply to the whole nail, omitting the side and front edge When applying the new color, it was looking streaky even on the second coat. Not saying anything, she must have noticed and put on a third coat, never applying to the front edge. Same with top coat. Nothing on the side and front edge. I let dry for 10 min under the light and then sprayed the nail dry that was at the drying counter. The photo is less than 30 min after. I'm sure most customers get gel, but that really weakens my nails when taking it off. Bottom line, their regular polish is old and I feel they have neglected to go through their inventory and replace with new polish read more

They were able to catch one of the girls and turn them into the police as well as keep their composure with the other clients. What's wrong with people!! 2023 update - Went in about 2 weeks ago and was 13 minutes late to my same nail tech Vicky! Waited almost 10 minutes while the front desk girl talked to another client about her nails that she was upset about. She was cursing at the girl at the front, using F bombs and all. This front desk girl is semi new Hispanic girl that is NOT friendly at all; she is very dry every time I come here, no matter how nice I am to her. And I tip VERY WELL EVERY TIME to Vicky and whomever else. After she finishes speaking with the pissed woman about her nails and refunds her the money for her service, she then calls me up. I let her know that I had a 1030am appt with Vicky. Its 1050am by this time; she looks up at the clock and says, "Vicky left bc she thought you weren't coming, let me call her". As she walked to the phone I stated, "I wish that someone would have called me". She became combative and defensive immediately bc she was irritated from the previous woman. She then states, "we have a 15 min grace period". I then stated I was 13 minutes late and I stood here for almost 10 min while you spoke with the other person. She then states, "and we don't call customers". At that point I was getting irritated bc #1 why are being combative, #2 where was that energy with the white lady that was cursing at you, #3 I told her "Don't worry about it I will spend my money elsewhere". I HAVE NEVER HAD THIS kind of treatment here and I am NOT about to start especially with no receptionist. I sent the owner/manager Mimi a message and she said she was out of the country, and I have not heard from her since which isn't cool on her behalf after I have been a loyal customer since they opened from quarantine. Super disappointed with her in that aspect! They barely have black folks in there as it is, now you have lost a very loyal black customer who drove from the NW side to the South to be treated like less than...get your receptionist coached or you will lose more if you haven't already! Plus my lash tech is gone anyways and closer to me so I can go to her spot and let the nail person near there do my nails plus they have a full bar and its cleaner! Updating & deducting another star due to customer service. Only because I don't want another person to waste their hard earned money on a place that doesn't care about their customers. If I can save at least one person the headache with my Yelp rant, I'm happy. We are now 48 hours past my appointment & they are much worse. They offered a 50% refund... are you joking? 50%... so $30 for nails that didn't last 12 hours, plus keeping them looking like trash? Laughable really. I made an appointment since Wednesday for today Saturday at 1 pm and I sat waiting for an hour. They tried to get me to get my nails done by that tech that does a very bad job and is very rough (I speak from experience) and a girl today complained about him right in front of me today so its not just me. I was pumped to get a Gel Mani & Pedi but the service was so bad, I had to abandon the service and leave. I booked an appointment online, when I arrived I still had to wait. Why have this feature if you are not going to honor it? They sat me in a chair directly behind someone else in which they did not sanitize. I used my own travel Clorox wipes before I sat down. I wanted a simple pastel rainbow gel but it was the hardest thing for them to achieve. I'd picked out all the colors and the guy re-shelved them after I got in the chair. He did apologize and brought me the nail samples, which a million people have touched. I wasn't able to find the shades, so I had to get up and go back to find the colors after the Pedi. (Which was poorly executed btw. She cut/filed slathered this slimy orange smelly goo on my legs and called it a day.) After I found the colors for the second time, they came to collect them again to find the gel versions, only to bring back the wrong colors and I was totally ready to go. I just had them proceed so I could get out of there because the fumes were just too overwhelming. I've been to many nail shops but this one was messing with my lungs. A new girl sat down to start my mani with a nail file she had just used on another lady without sanitizing it. She pulls out a new one and proceeds to file it down with the old unsanitized one. I just let her continue filing knowing I'd have to soak my nails in tea tree oil regardless. As she gets to the fourth nail she literally filed so hard that my skin ripped open! I have been going here for at least a year and have always had a good experience and have been happy with my nails. Mimi and Daniel are amazing for when i was getting acrylic and even the last few nail techs I've gotten have been great and my nails have lasted so long. I usually get dip powder now. Pedicures have been great too. Calvin does a great job with my pedicures. This 2/5 star rating has mainly everything to do with the new receptionist. I get along with 99.9% of humans, but she is just cold and rude. When I call to make an appt she's just very rude and never accommodating. One time I asked if I could get scheduled with the same techs I had the previous time and shes like "uhhh no we can't see that" I said "oh, last time I had given my number and they told me exactly who provided my services" and she said "well our system is down"... making me feel dumb for even asking. She could've handled that in such a kinder manner. She's not welcoming upon arrival. I had a situation where I had to get a nail fixed recently and she was so rude and not understanding. She doesn't try to help or come up with a solution she just tried to give pushback and make it negative. I will not be returning anymore because she is the initial face/energy of this salon.
